To broaden the application range of hardware in loop simulation for electronic controlled unit, study on model simulation of electronic unit pump diesel engine oriented to control is made, the requirement and selection of simulation model oriented to control in electronic unit pump diesel engine is provided, model of simplified nonlinearity in diesel engine and electronic unit pump system are established in Matlab/Simulink, model verification shows that this model can achieve relative accuracy, by means of calculation time and parameter, different calculation step and method affecting model output is analyzed and compared. Real engine model is applied into hardware-in-loop simulation test, its results show that model can perform real-time ECU hardware-in-loop simulation test accurately.

The torsional vibrations which occur on the fuel injection pump of an automotive diesel engine were investigated. Calculations and tests showed that as well as vibrations transmitted from the crankshaft, the fuel pump could vibrate at the natural frequency of the torsional system consisting of the pump and the drive coupling against an infinite mass. This was excited by harmonic torques produced by the pump. Calculations were made to show the effect of variables on the natural frequency of the pump system including the instance when a crankshaft natural frequency coincided with a pump natural frequency. Calculations were also made of the effect of the engine harmonic torques on the pump vibrations. The results were verified by experiments.

This paper establishes the simulation model of the electronic unit pump diesel engine with Matlab/Simulink and AMESim. Provide a theoretical basis for the study of electronic unit pump diesel. The diesel model is built with Matlab/Simulink simulation software and the electronic unit pump is constructed in AMESim environment. To evaluate the model, a co-simulation method with AMESim/Simulink is used. The simulation results show the model is available. And it is significant in theoretical study of electronic unit pump diesel.
