In China, the development of pure electric buses is an essential means to address energy and environmental concerns. Proper evaluation and selection of pure electric buses is a crucial step prior to introducing the buses into actual operation. This paper presents a multi-objective method for the selection of pure electric buses based on road driving tests. An index system for evaluating the operating performance through the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process is established, and to ensure the method is more systematic than those in previous studies, indicators are classified into three categories: qualitative, semi-qualitative and quantitative indicators, of which the nineteen indexes have been comprehensively considered and designed. To verify the advantage of the evaluation method proposed in the article, two typical buses were selected as the assessed objectives regarding reliability, economic, security, environmental adaptability, etc. The assessing process indicates that the method is easily implemented and of high practical value. Additionally, the results show satisfactory agreement with the actual scenario. Thus, it can be assumed that the method detailed herein provides a basis for the design, selection, and evaluation of pure electric buses.

Analytic hierarchy process (AHP) refers to a decision-making method that decomposes the elements related to decision-making into goals, criteria, plans, and other levels and performs qualitative and quantitative analysis. Ecotourism is one component of sustainable tourism. Due to ecotourism activity, ecotourism links the reserved area with local residents and tourists. The aim of this research is to identify the proper ecotourism activity in Diaoluo Mountain National Nature Reserve with the help of the AHP method. The motivation behind the use of AHP is its widespread use in the decision-making process of selection of suitable candidate or alternative spot for tourists’ activity in the domain of ecotourism. The result shows that the most suitable ecotourism activity is “visit and experience life in the original ecology villages of Li and Miao ethnic minorities with a guide.” The proposed AHP decision-making method has effectively been used to select ecotourism activity based on multiple criteria evaluations.

Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), is the method of multiple-criteria decision analysis. AHP; severity of the important criteria in deciding the pairwise comparisons and it carries out the sequence of decisions alternatives. AHP is a powerful and easy to understand method that allows combining qualitative and quantitative factors in the decision making process for groups and individuals.

AHP in finance is a frequently used method especially financial performance appraisal, credit appraisal, the financial failure prediction, estimation of the exchange rate and the selection of projects. Evaluation and selection of projects is a difficult task before making investment decisions. In this context, it has been developed a case study to determine the best project by applying the AHP technique. For this purpose, considering four criteria, the best projects between options have been identified and evaluated by alternative four projects.

The introduction of innovations is carried out in conditions of uncertainty and is associated with a high degree of risk which affects the economic security of enterprises. The purpose of the research is to develop a methodology for selecting innovative enterprise projects that are optimal for investment. To achieve the goal we proposed to compare project evaluations in the external and internal environment by using a comparative analysis. In this case, the object of research is a portfolio of innovative projects where an indicator of internal competitiveness is calculated by taxonomic assessment for each project. Each project is evaluated to predict its level of market competitiveness by the analytic hierarchy process. The implementation of the proposed methodology will result in the selection of such innovative projects in the capacity of investment objects that simultaneously have a high level of internal and market competitiveness. Thus, the implementation of the proposed methodology will optimize the choice of areas of innovative activity of enterprises, which will significantly reduce the risk of innovation.

Selection of the appropriate composition desalination units can be done with a variety of method approaches, one of the method is the Analytic Hierarchy Process. In determining the desalination unit with AHP method to consider is setting a goal, an alternative criteria and pairwise comparison. Research for the determination of the exact composition of the desalination unit in order to achieve sustainable drinking water suppy in coastal areas and small islands has been conducted. The results of the study are as follows, the energy demand of 50.83%, operator costs of 26.64%, maintenance costs of 14.13% and chemical requirement 8.4%. For an alternative composition desalination unit of RO 10 m3 / day is the best alternative composition with value of 59.61%, the composition of the next alternative is RO 20 m3/ day of 30.40% and the last alternative of the desalination unit composition is RO 120 m3/ day of 09.99%.Key words : Desalination, Mukti Stage Flash Composition, AHP

This study was conducted to assist in the selection of martial assistant coach, to determine who is right. Its results will didadaptkan by comparing the two methods in the decision support system, by using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and the Simple Additive Weight (SAW) in limiting the problems in producing the desired solution, using multiple criteria (multi-criteria). AHP and SAW has a different way of doing the calculation. This is done to determine which method is looking for help in making decisions. And in this study are the criteria Discipline, Knowledge, Leadership, Attitude, and Level. And there are sub criteria on Level, which Black (AND I) and Red Black II.

Decision problems are usually complex and involve evaluation of several conflicting criteria (parameters). Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) is a promising field that considers the parallel influence of all criteria and aims at helping decision makers in expressing their preferences, over a set of predefined alternatives, on the basis of criteria (parameters) that are contradictory in nature. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is a useful and widespread MCDM tool for solving such type of problems, as it allows the incorporation of conflicting objectives and decision makers preferences in the decision making. The AHP utilizes the concept of pair wise comparison to find the order of criteria (parameters) and alternatives. The comparison in a pairwise manner becomes quite tedious and complex for problems having eight alternatives or more, thereby, limiting the application of AHP. This paper presents a soft hierarchical process approach based on soft set decision making which eliminates the least promising candidate alternatives and selects the optimum(potential) ones that results in the significant reduction in the number of pairwise comparisons necessary for the selection of the best alternative using AHP, giving the approach a more realistic view. A supplier selection problem is used to illustrate the proposed approach.
