Sediment basins are temporary practices commonly used to detain stormwater runoff and capture suspended sediment on construction sites. A 79.0 m3 (2790 ft3) sediment basin testing apparatus at the Auburn University—Erosion and Sediment Control Testing Facility was used to provide a series of controlled and repeatable, large-scale tests to understand the performance of sediment basins and provide improvements. This research evaluated five sediment basin configurations over the course of 27 individual tests, including: (1) a standard configuration, (2) the addition of an excavated sump upstream of a ditch check, (3) the modification of the first baffle, (4) a high-rate lamella settler in upward flow, and (5) a high-rate lamella settler in parallel flow. The primary metric for evaluating performance and the treatment effectiveness of a configuration’s ability in capturing sediment was assessed from turbidity measured across the basin surface. Multiple linear regression analysis indicated that an excavated sump provided insignificant improvement in sediment capture effectiveness. Furthermore, the modification to the first baffle was deemed ineffective in improving treatment efficiency. Lamella settler results indicated a 18.2% and 29.0% reduction in turbidity across the basin for upward and parallel flow configurations, respectively.

One of the cities in Indonesia that has quite rapid economic progress is DKI Jakarta. The high minimum wage, investment, number of industrial units, and job opportunities in DKI Jakarta are factors that attract people to migrate to this city. However, in reality, the growth of in-migration to DKI Jakarta in the 2008-2019 period tends to show a decline. This study aims to determine the influence and magnitude of the effect of wages, investment, number of industries, and employment opportunities on in-migration to DKI Jakarta in 2018-2019. The analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis and the method of least squares Ordinary Least Square (OLS). While the types and methods of research used in this research are descriptive quantitative and verification methods. The data used are data on provincial minimum wages, investment, industrial units, job opportunities, and data on incoming migration in DKI Jakarta in the 2008-2019 timeframe. The data in this study came from the Central Bureau of Statistics. The results showed that the provincial minimum wage (UMP) and investment (INV) variables partially affected the incoming oil (MM) to DKI Jakarta in 2008-2019. Meanwhile, the industrial unit variable (UIN) and the variable number of job opportunities (KKJ) partially did not affect in-migration to DKI Jakarta (MM) in 2008-2019. This research implies that in dealing with the high rate of population movement, the government needs to implement policies to overcome it such as increasing the provincial minimum wage, investment, the number of industrial units.

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises are very influential on the Indonesian economy. This has been proven during the economic crisis that hit Indonesia in the period 1997 - 1998 which was the bankruptcy of large scale companies that differed from Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises which remained and grew without economic assistance. In this study, using national data 2000 - 2017 at BPS Indonesia and the Indonesia Ministry of Cooperatives SMEs. Data analysis uses multiple linear regression analysis and path analysis. The results showed that the number of MSMEs had a positive and significant effect on the contribution of MSME GDP, the number of MSME Workers did not affect the contribution of MSME GDP, the number of MSMEs had a negative effect on poverty levels, the number of MSME workers had a negative effect on poverty levels and the contribution of MSME GDP had a negative effect on the level of poverty in Indonesia. Path analysis shows the effect of the number of MSMEs on poverty levels with GDP as intervening contributes to a greater negative effect than the effect of Labor on poverty levels with GDP as intervening.

This study tests the factors that influence the decision of muzaki in channeling zakat, namely: trust, religiosity, income, and quality of accounting information. This study is a survey of 40 muzaki from Amil Zakat Institution (known as LAZ) Zakat Sukses in Depok. This study uses the purposive sampling method. Data analysis using SPSS 25 software with multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that trust, religiosity, income, and the quality of accounting information simultaneously influence the decision of muzaki to distribute zakat through LAZ Zakat Sukses in Depok. Partially, trust, religiosity, and income positively affect the decision of muzaki to distribute zakat through LAZ Zakat Sukses. Meanwhile, the quality of accounting information has a negative impact on muzakki's decisions in distributing zakat through LAZ Zakat Sukses. This study's scope is on the muzaki at LAZ Zakat Sukses Depok. Therefore, the results may not represent nationally. Therefore, similar studies in collecting more large-scale data and broader areas will be useful. The implication is that LAZ Zakat Sukses need to show zakat management's performance to increase muzaki trust.

New town development as a form of large-scale development is not a new phenomenon, particularly in developing countries. This development mainly takes place in peri-urban areas due to the high pressure caused by the growing population and the lack of facilities and infrastructure in city centres. As an effect, local communities who originally occupied the land often lose their rights over the property their livelihood might have relied on. Property rights can be grouped differently, classified according to different bundles: appropriation, ownership, and formality of rights. This paper investigates to what extent new town development in Indonesia has affected the property rights of local communities, in terms of the transformation of rights and security level. Moreover, it examines to what extent this transformation has been affected by urbanisation pressure. Ample attention is paid to the transformation of various bundles of rights concerning different usage of property, both residential and cultivated land. A total of 252 questionnaires were distributed to three different locations of new towns in Indonesia. A before-after analysis was employed to identify the transformation of the property rights and their security level, followed by multiple linear regression analysis to observe the influence of the urbanisation pressure to the security level. The research reveals that the transformation of property rights of local residents mainly concerns the appropriation rights. The analysis also indicates that there is a tendency that the security level decreases. Statistically, this appears to be affected by urbanisation pressure variables: type of land, land use, and occupation. With this study, we offer on the one hand a conceptual framework for assessing property rights, while on the other hand, we provide empirical evidence regarding the effects of new town development on property rights transformation and its security level.

The aim of this study is to determine and analyse the effect of ESOP, leverage, and the size of the company partially and simultaneously to the profitability of the Investment Company Subsector Company in IDX Period 2015-2019. The data used in this study is library studies and documentation. Sample selection in this study using nonprobability purposive sampling technique. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results prove that ESOP and company size partially have no significant effect on profitabilitas, but leverage has a significant effect on profitability. Then simultaneously ESOP, Leverage, and Company Size have no effect on profitability. The results of research with Agency theory and signal theory, ESOP is expected to increase the loyalty of the company manager to the owner of the company in improving profitability, and ESOP does not affect the contribution of profitability information of a company in assessing the condition of a company, between the relationship of the manager and the owner of the company. Leverage, in the explanation of signal theory is one of the factors that influence in providing information to investors on the profitability of acompany. Size of the company is determined by the management steps to manage the company's profit as best as possible, which we know companies with large scale does not necessarily have a good company performance also in improving its profitability. This research is expected to help companies to improve the profitability of thecompany.

Keywords: ESOP, leverage, company size, profitabilitas
