The research of the fractional Orlicz-Sobolev space and the fractional N-Laplacian operators will give the development of nonlinear elasticity theory, electro rheological fluids, non-Newtonian fluid theory in a porous medium as well as Probability and Analysis as they proved to be accurate models to describe different phenomena in Physics, Finance, Image processing and Ecology. We study the number of weak solutions for one-dimensional fractional N-Laplacian systems in the product of the fractional Orlicz-Sobolev spaces, where the corresponding functionals of one-dimensional fractional N-Laplacian systems are even and symmetric. We obtain two results for these problems. One result is that these problems have at least one nontrivial solution under some conditions. The other result is that these problems also have infinitely many weak solutions on the same conditions. We use the variational approach, critical point theory and homology theory on the product of the fractional Orlicz-Sobolev spaces.

In the framework of the nonsmooth critical point theory for lower semi-continuous functionals, we propose a direct variational approach to investigate the existence of infinitely many weak solutions for a class of semi-linear elliptic equations with logarithmic nonlinearity arising in physically relevant situations. Furthermore, we prove that there exists a unique positive solution which is radially symmetric and nondegenerate.

Smale spaces are a particular class of hyperbolic topological dynamical systems, defined by David Ruelle. The definition was introduced to give an axiomatic description of the dynamical properties of Smale's Axiom A systems when restricted to a basic set. They include Anosov diffeomeorphisms, shifts of finite type and various solenoids constructed by R. F. Williams. The second author constructed a homology theory for Smale spaces which is based on (and extends) Krieger's dimension group invariant for shifts of finite type. In this paper, we compute this homology for the one-dimensional generalized solenoids of R. F. Williams.

Abstract By using variational methods and critical point theory in an appropriate Orlicz-Sobolev setting, the authors establish the existence of infinitely many non-negative weak solutions to a non-homogeneous Neumann problem. They also provide some particular cases and an example to illustrate the main results in this paper.
