The state of emergency caused by the covid-19 pandemic has shown that teaching at this time is not easy. Teachers have to make more use of distance education and students have to adapt to that. Classic face-to-face study is not possible but asymmetric communication between the teacher and his students may be replaced by greater student independence and greater student effort. Within the subject theory of probability and statistics, a questionnaire was created to find how students manage distance education. It has been found out that they use the prepared tutorial videos and online assignments (in WeBWork platform) the most. They expressed that distance education prepared by the teacher can replace face-to-face study, but this form of learning is much more demanding and therefore they prefer classic face-to-face study.

COVID-19 pandemic forced most of the high education institutions to revert their teaching and learning process from face-to-face teaching system to the process of teaching and learning through the use of electronic platforms. Due to this situation, each high education institution has defined one or a set of electronic platforms to continue to guarantee the effectiveness of teaching classes during this period. It was from the above that this research was developed, which aimed to analyze the perception of teachers at the Pedagogical University of Maputo about accessibility and the use of electronic platforms as a resource to support face-to-face teaching during the term of COVID-19 pandemic. The results showed that most of the teachers interact with the students via WhatsApp and Email through their mobile devices and laptops.

The aim of the article is to consider the issues of public administration of the election process in situation of pandemic, the peculiarities of the implementation of election legislation and the problems of elections in Ukraine and abroad with the introduction of quarantine restrictions. The subject of the study is the peculiarities of holding elections in situation of pandemic. Research methodology. The set of general scientific and special methods is used to achieve the objectives of the research: systemic, dialectical, systemic and structural, legal and dogmatic, comparative, predictive methods. Research results. It has been noted that in many countries the question of postponing the dates of elections and referendums, which had been set in advance, was raised because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Practical meaning. The analysis of the experience of foreign countries in postponing the voting dates of elections and referendums has shown that such measures had been taken because of the introduction of the state of emergency as the special legal regime for public authorities and administration throughout the State or in individual administrative-territorial units, which entailed substantial restriction of citizens’ rights and freedoms in the area of electoral matters. Value / originality. The need for further research of alternative voting methods, such as direct visits to the polling station, such as remote voting, voting by mail, early voting, mobile voting, electronic voting, voting by proxy and others has been substantiated.

The research aimed to understand the State of the Question of experimentation in Physics in the online context through events organized by the Brazilian Physics Society and by the Brazilian Association for Distance Education. For this, we analyzed 40 articles through two categories: “Didactic tool: the potentials and limits that cross the use of the virtual and face-to-face experiment in the teaching of Physics” and “Online teaching spaces and strategies in the training of physics teachers”. We concluded that the integration between virtual and real resources is the realm of face-to-face, distance or hybrid modalities, constitutes as a way for the classes to become more interactive, leaving the teacher to use them in the creation of activities that expand collaborative actions in the classroom. Keywords: Experimentation. Online teaching. State of the question. Physics teaching. Mozambique, like several other countries in the region and all over the world, faces the dilemma of the need to guarantee the minimum learning conditions for students during the state of emergency due to COVID-19. It is in this sense, which the present study aimed to analyze the perceptions of students of the Pedagogical University of Maputo (UP-Maputo) in the use of electronic platforms as a resource to support classroom teaching during the State of Emergency. The research had a quanti-qualitative character, where the analysis and control of the different variables was foreseen. It consisted of collecting information on the objectives of operationalizing the teaching and learning process in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, through the application of an electronically administered questionnaire. A sample of 1787 students was obtained, corresponding to 13.61% of the universe of students enrolled in the year 2020. The survey showed that most of the students, around 64% used some electronic platform to support their teaching and on-site learning process, after the declaration of a state of emergency the percentage of users of electronic platforms increased to 100%, highlighting the use of WhatsApp to the detriment of the others (SIGIUP, MOODLE® Institutional, Google Classroom and ZOOM®). The device they use, because 95% of the students access the platforms using their mobile phones, justifies the massive use of WhatsApp. Regarding the use of different electronic platforms, most of the students revealed a platform usage that varies from “Many Times” and “Always”. Students refer to the need for training in the use of the different platforms made available to them to support their teaching and learning process. The research made it possible to conclude that students are aware of the need to appropriate the new form of teaching they are subject to, despite having significant financial difficulties in the acquisition of internet packages and in the use of some of the electronic platforms made available for learning.

Distance training or distance learning has experienced a boom in recent years in several regions of the world. It follows from this interest that the emergence of distance learning has been remarkably advocated by higher education institutions and less and less at the secondary and college levels where face-to-face training is becoming essential. However, during the period of health crisis due to Covid-19, distance education had established itself as a new alternative mode for face-to-face education for all levels of education, and for all subjects combined. Physical and sports education (PSE) is no exception to this change. In this context, the discipline EPS has sparked a debate on the modalities of engagement of teachers of EPS to participate in distance education given the almost practical nature of the subject. Faced with this problem, EPS teachers (high school and college) found themselves forced to formalize educational content and transmit it on various media. This study contributes to the identification of the degree of commitment of PE teachers to ensure the sustainability of learning and to determine the obstacles encountered in this operation qualified as urgent. This study saw the participation of 166 teachers in two levels of secondary and college education through three regional academies in Morocco. The results showed both the lack of communication between the inspectors of the EPS and the teachers of the subject, and the coordination between the teachers within the teaching units.

Online learning is complementing and even replacing traditional face-to-face educational models at colleges and universities across the world. Distance education offers pedagogical and resource advantages—flexibility, greater access to education, and increased university revenues. Distance education also presents challenges such as learning to create effective online assignments that engage students, especially in public relations, where team-based learning and collaboration are key. Instructors from two U.S. universities—one comprehensive university and one research university—evaluated student performance on and feedback from a cross-university online team-based project. Emergent themes from student performance and feedback reflect research in scaffolding and engagement theory.

Összefoglaló. A tanulmány azokat a fontosabb kutatási eredményeket foglalja össze, amelyek a koronajárvány kezdeti szakaszában születtek, és nyilván jórészt mozaikszerű empirikus vizsgálódásokon alapulnak. A fő hangsúlya azonban a várható következményekre kerül. Summary. The study summarizes significant research results that were born in the initial phase of the coronavirus and are clearly based mostly on mosaic-type empirical surveys. However, they mainly emphasize the expected consequences. In what ways, to what extent and in what forms is it necessary and favourable to maintain the education methods introduced under the state of emergency conditions, and to further develop them – considering the long term – for integration into future practices. This research approach is connected to the subject that has been highlighted in recent years, the matter of modernizing learning and teaching, but points even beyond that. The question of the existence of higher education (and mostly universities) in the European and global arena sharply rises again.

In modern methodology of jurisprudence there is a transition from the study the states of its object to its comprehension in changes and transformations. Hence the two subsystems of methodology of jurisprudence: subsystem facing the states of the law and the state as well as their components and aspects; and subsystem facing the changes of the law and the state in general and their constituents. These subsystems of methodology of jurisprudence receive its reflection in conceptual form, methodological approaches, methods, specific concepts. Methodology of jurisprudence should not be restricted to the methodology of legal theory. In this regard, it is an important methodological question about subject of jurisprudence. It is proposed to consider the subject of jurisprudence as complex, covering both the law and the state in their specificity, interaction and integrity. Indicative changes in the content methodology of jurisprudence are the usage of decisive importance methodological approaches that govern research strategy searches in conjunction with the law and the state. Among the most characteristic of modern development approaches: anthropological, axiological, civilization, synergistic and hermeneutic. Modern methodology of jurisprudence is pluralistic in nature alleging various approaches to the law and the state. Marked approaches allow the formation of a new paradigm methodology of jurisprudence.

This essay explores the discourse of law that constitutes the controversial apprehension of Cicero's issuing of the ultimate decree of the Senate (senatus consultum ultimum) in Catiline. The play juxtaposes the struggle of Cicero, whose moral character and legitimacy are at stake in regards to the extra-legal uses of espionage, with the supposedly mischievous Catilinarians who appear to observe legal procedures more carefully throughout their plot. To mitigate this ambivalence, the play defends Cicero's actions by depicting the way in which Cicero establishes the rhetoric of public counsel to convince the citizens of his legitimacy in his unprecedented dealing with Catiline. To understand the contemporaneousness of Catiline, I will explore the way the play integrates the early modern discourses of counsel and the legal maxim of ‘better to suffer an inconvenience than mischief,’ suggesting Jonson's subtle sensibility towards King James's legal reformation which aimed to establish and deploy monarchical authority in the state of emergency (such as the Gunpowder Plot of 1605). The play's climactic trial scene highlights the display of the collected evidence, such as hand-written letters and the testimonies obtained through Cicero's spies, the Allbroges, as proof of Catiline's mischievous character. I argue that the tactical negotiating skills of the virtuous and vicious characters rely heavily on the effective use of rhetoric exemplified by both the political discourse of classical Rome and the legal discourse of Tudor and Jacobean England.
