By making use of the concept of basic (or q-) calculus, various families of q-extensions of starlike functions of order α in the open unit disk U were introduced and studied from many different viewpoints and perspectives. In this paper, we first investigate the relationship between various known classes of q-starlike functions that are associated with the Janowski functions. We then introduce and study a new subclass of q-starlike functions that involves the Janowski functions. We also derive several properties of such families of q-starlike functions with negative coefficients including (for example) distortion theorems.

By making use of the concept of basic (or q-) calculus, various families of q-extensions of starlike functions, which are associated with the Janowski functions in the open unit disk U, were introduced and studied from many different viewpoints and perspectives. In this paper, we first investigate the relationship between various known families of q-starlike functions which are associated with the Janowski functions. We then introduce and study a new subclass of q-starlike functions which involves the Janowski functions and is related with the conic domain. We also derive several properties of such families of q-starlike functions with negative coefficients including (for example) sufficient conditions, inclusion results and distortion theorems. In the last section on conclusion, we choose to point out the fact that the results for the q-analogues, which we consider in this article for 0 < q < 1, can easily (and possibly trivially) be translated into the corresponding results for the (p; q)-analogues (with 0 < q < p ?? 1) by applying some obvious parametric and argument variations, the additional parameter p being redundant.

In our present investigation, with the help of the basic (or q-) calculus, we first define a new domain which involves the Janowski function. We also define a new subclass of the class of q-starlike functions, which maps the open unit disk U, given by U= z:z∈C and z <1, onto this generalized conic type domain. We study here some such potentially useful results as, for example, the sufficient conditions, closure results, the Fekete-Szegö type inequalities and distortion theorems. We also obtain the lower bounds for the ratio of some functions which belong to this newly-defined function class and for the sequences of the partial sums. Our results are shown to be connected with several earlier works related to the field of our present investigation. Finally, in the concluding section, we have chosen to reiterate the well-demonstrated fact that any attempt to produce the rather straightforward (p,q)-variations of the results, which we have presented in this article, will be a rather trivial and inconsequential exercise, simply because the additional parameter p is obviously redundant.

Letf(z)=z+a2z2+a3z3+⋯be an analytic function in the open unit disk. A sharp upper bound is obtained for|a3−μa22|by using the classes of strongly starlike functions of orderβand typeαwhenμ≥1.

In the present investigation, we introduce the subclasses $\varLambda_{\Sigma}^{m}(\eta,\leftthreetimes,\phi)$ and $\varLambda_{\Sigma}^{m}(\eta,\leftthreetimes,\delta)$ of \textit{m}-fold symmetric bi-univalent function class $\Sigma_m$, which are associated with the pseudo-starlike functions and defined in the open unit disk $\mathbb{U}$. Moreover, we obtain estimates on the initial coefficients $|b_{m+1}|$ and $|b_{2m+1}|$ for the functions belong to these subclasses and identified correlations with some of the earlier known classes.

By using a certain general conic domain as well as the quantum (or q-) calculus, here we define and investigate a new subclass of normalized analytic and starlike functions in the open unit disk U . In particular, we find the Hankel determinant and the Toeplitz matrices for this newly-defined class of analytic q-starlike functions. We also highlight some known consequences of our main results.

We consider the subclass Q(j, λ, α, n) of starlike functions by using thedifferential Dn operator and functions of the form f(z) = z + Σk∞ = j + 1 akZkwhich are analytic in the open unit disk. In this paper is to investigate anmajorizationproblem for the subclassQ(j, λ, α, n). Relevant connections of the main result obtained in this paper with those given by earlier workers on the subject are also pointed out.

In the light of Riemann open mapping theorem, if we map open unit disk U conformally onto a region then depending on the geometry of boundary of we can always extract a subclass of H[a, n] by subordinating various functionals of the function f ∈ H[a, n]. Depending upon the geometry of the range set attempts have been made to find some algebraic structure in such classes, for that Hankel determinant of coefficients of functions pertaining to these classes have been studied, bounds of various coefficients have been determined and also based on the subordination principle we have determined radius |z| < r ;z ∈ U for which f belongs to such a class. In this paper our focus would be on n−PS* defined as n − PS* = {f ∈ A : Re {zf'(z)/f(z)} > 0,|(zf'(z)/f(z))n - 1|<1}.

We construct two new subclasses of univalent functions in the open unit disk U = {z : |z| < 1}. For the first class £λ(β) of Salagean type λ-pseudo-starlike functions, using the sigmoid function, we establish upper bounds for the initial coefficients of the functions in this class. Furthermore, for the second class £λ (β, φ) we obtain Fekete-Szegö inequalities. The results presented in this paper generalize the recent work of Babalola.

The class s of functions f(z) which are regular and univalent in the open unit disk △ = {z: |z| < 1} each normalized by the conditionshas been studied intensively for over fifty years. A large and very successful portion of this work has dealt with subclasses of L characterized by some geometric property of f[Δ], the image of Δ under f(z), which is expressible in analytic terms. The class of starlike functions in L is one of these [3]; f(z) is starlike with respect to the origin if the segment [0,f(z)] is in f[Δ] for every z in Δ and this condition is equivalent to requiring that have a positive real part in Δ.

AbstractIn this article, by employing the hyperbolic tangent function tanhz, a subfamily $\mathcal{S}_{\tanh }^{\ast }$ S tanh ∗ of starlike functions in the open unit disk $\mathbb{D}\subset \mathbb{C}$ D ⊂ C : $$\begin{aligned} \mathbb{D}= \bigl\{ z:z\in \mathbb{C} \text{ and } \vert z \vert < 1 \bigr\} \end{aligned}$$ D = { z : z ∈ C and | z | < 1 } is introduced and investigated. The main contribution of this article includes derivations of sharp inequalities involving the Taylor–Maclaurin coefficients for functions belonging to the class $\mathcal{S}_{\tanh }^{\ast } $ S tanh ∗ of starlike functions in $\mathbb{D}$ D . In particular, the bounds of the first three Taylor–Maclaurin coefficients, the estimates of the Fekete–Szegö type functionals, and the estimates of the second- and third-order Hankel determinants are the main problems that are proposed to be studied here.
