Educators in the field of Environmental Education often have difficulty identifying and selecting programs that have the potential to best maximize needed resources to implement and achieve desired outcomes. This difficulty is, in part, due to their lack of expertise in evaluation knowledge and practice. The use of multi-criteria decision-making models in evaluating environmental education programs is new and, as a result, not many models have been used and tested in the specific domain. Comparisons of multi-criteria decision-making models have been implemented in various domains but not for environmental education programs’ evaluation. Therefore, we investigate the comparative performance of the SAW, WPM, TOPSIS, and PROMETHEE II models in evaluating and selecting the most appropriate environmental education program. The main objective of this paper is on presenting the different steps of the comparative analysis of multi-criteria decision-making models and on making conclusions on the suitability and robustness of the SAW, WPM, TOPSIS, and PROMETHEE II models in evaluating environmental education programs.

Websites in the post COVID-19 era play a very important role as the Internet gains more visitors. A website may significantly contribute to the electronic presence of a cultural organization, such as a museum, but its success should be confirmed by an evaluation experiment. Taking into account the importance of such an experiment, we present in this paper DEWESA, a generalized framework that uses and compares multi-criteria decision-making models for the evaluation of cultural websites. DEWESA presents in detail the steps that have to be followed for applying and comparing multi-criteria decision-making models for cultural websites’ evaluation. The framework is implemented in the current paper for the evaluation of museum websites. In the particular case study, five different models are implemented (SAW, WPM, TOPSIS, VIKOR, and PROMETHEE II) and compared. The comparative analysis is completed by a sensitivity analysis, in which the five multi-criteria decision-making models are compared concerning their robustness.

AbstractHesitant fuzzy preference relations (HFPRs) have been widely applied in multicriteria decision-making (MCDM) for their ability to efficiently express hesitant information. To address the situation where HFPRs are necessary, this paper develops several decision-making models integrating HFPRs with the best worst method (BWM). First, consistency measures from the perspectives of additive/multiplicative consistent hesitant fuzzy best worst preference relations (HFBWPRs) are introduced. Second, several decision-making models are developed in view of the proposed additive/multiplicatively consistent HFBWPRs. The main characteristic of the constructed models is that they consider all the values included in the HFBWPRs and consider the same and different compromise limit constraints. Third, an absolute programming model is developed to obtain the decision-makers’ objective weights utilizing the information of optimal priority weight vectors and provides the calculation of decision-makers’ comprehensive weights. Finally, a framework of the MCDM procedure based on hesitant fuzzy BWM is introduced, and an illustrative example in conjunction with comparative analysis is provided to demonstrate the feasibility and efficiency of the proposed models.

Complex q-rung orthopair fuzzy set (CQROFS) is a proficient technique to describe awkward and complicated information by the truth and falsity grades with a condition that the sum of the q-powers of the real part and imaginary part is in unit interval. Further, Schweizer–Sklar (SS) operations are more flexible to aggregate the information, and the Muirhead mean (MM) operator can examine the interrelationships among the attributes, and it is more proficient and more generalized than many aggregation operators to cope with awkward and inconsistence information in realistic decision issues. The objectives of this manuscript are to explore the SS operators based on CQROFS and to study their score function, accuracy function, and their relationships. Further, based on these operators, some MM operators based on PFS, called complex q-rung orthopair fuzzy MM (CQROFMM) operator, complex q-rung orthopair fuzzy weighted MM (CQROFWMM) operator, and their special cases are presented. Additionally, the multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) approach is developed by using the explored operators based on CQROFS. Finally, the advantages and comparative analysis are also discussed.
