This study reveals residents’ willingness to live in their current homes and communities and analyzes the factors related to their willingness to age in place in South Korea. Using a questionnaire survey method, data of 289 residents aged 55 or older were collected in apartment areas with the potential to become naturally occurring senior communities in Seoul. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation tests, t-test, ANOVA, factor analysis, and regression analysis by SPSS 26.0, and the findings were followed up. Housing services are very important in aging communities. Physical environment-oriented residential services promote a safe walking environment, facilities to support the elderly, a secure complex environment, a home-safety accident-prevention diagnosis service, home improvement, and home improvement support. Multiple regression analysis showed that residential services or elderly education and activity support services influence aging in place, which is a novel finding revealed in this study.

This study investigated the theory of residential mobility in terms of quality of life, focusing on convenience and the urban environment. The evaluation items (e.g., the accessibility to infrastructure, security, the environment, and social relationships) were selected based on previous studies, and a one-way ANOVA was conducted. The Korea Housing Survey was used to obtain data on the evaluations of homeowners who migrated to Seoul (the capital of South Korea) and to the surrounding metropolitan area (Gyeong-in). The regression analysis identified the factors affecting the overall satisfaction with the two destinations. The group that had migrated from Gyeong-in to Seoul was more satisfied with the medical, public, cultural, and transportation facilities than the group that had migrated from Seoul to Gyeong-in. Differences were also found between the two groups in the factors affecting their overall satisfaction with the migration destination. Factors such as satisfaction with transportation, commercial facilities, and cultural facilities affected the overall satisfaction with both destinations. However, homeownership affected the dependent variables only in Gyeong-in. The implications for potential improvements to infrastructure and housing distribution are discussed.

The problem arising in the study was the lack of student learning interest in Archival subject. The focus of research relied on the factors affecting student learning interest where learning instrument and teacher interpersonal communication were the anticipated factors which have impact on student learning interest. Focusing on that, we would study three variables namely Learning Instrument (X1), Teacher Interpersonal Communication (X2), and Student Learning Interest (Y). The aim of the study was to obtain information regarding the influence of learning instrument and teacher interpersonal communication on student learning interest in SMKN 1 Bandung. Current research employed explanatory survey method, whilst data collection employed questionnaire with likert scale model. Involved respondents were 103 junior students majoring in Office Administration in SMKN 1 Bandung. Analysis technique used single and double regression analysis. Research findings revealed that learning instrument is at the uppermost category, teacher interpersonal communication is at the average category, and student learning interest at the uppermost category. Results showed that learning instrument and teacher interpersonal communication have positive and significant impact on student learning interest in Archival subject in SMKN 1 Bandung.

The purpose of this research was to know the value of conception rate and the factors affecting the conception rate of Krui Cattles in Pesisir Selatan District, Pesisir Barat Regency. This research was carried out using survey method with census data collection in December 2019 until January 2020. This study used data of 166 artificially inseminated Krui cattles belong to 75 farmers and secondary data of the result of artificial insemination from two inseminators. Data was analysed using multiple regression analysis with SPSS program. The result showed that conception rate of Krui cattles at Pesisir Selatan District was 58.43%. Factors that affect conception rate were the amount of forage giving that negatively associated with factor value of 0.006, body condition score that positively associated with factor value of 0.102, and service per conception that negatively associated with factor value of 0.591. Keywords : conception rates, Krui cattles

Traumatic brain injury (TBI), also known as intracranial injury, occurs when an external force injures the brain. This study aimed to analyze the factors affecting the presence of TBI in the elderly occupants of motor vehicle crashes. We defined elderly occupants as those more than 55 years old. Damage to the vehicle was presented using the Collision Deformation Classification (CDC) code by evaluation of photos of the damaged vehicle, and a trauma score was used for evaluation of the severity of the patient’s injury. A logistic regression model was used to identify factors affecting TBI in elderly occupants and a predictive model was constructed. We performed this study retrospectively and gathered all the data under the Korean In-Depth Accident Study (KIDAS) investigation system. Among 3697 patients who visited the emergency room in the regional emergency medical center due to motor vehicle crashes from 2011 to 2018, we analyzed the data of 822 elderly occupants, which were divided into two groups: the TBI patients (N = 357) and the non-TBI patients (N = 465). According to multiple logistic regression analysis, the probabilities of TBI in the elderly caused by rear-end (OR = 1.833) and multiple collisions (OR = 1.897) were higher than in frontal collision. Furthermore, the probability of TBI in the elderly was 1.677 times higher in those with unfastened seatbelts compared to those with fastened seatbelts (OR = 1.677). This study was meaningful in that it incorporated several indicators that affected the occurrence of the TBI in the elderly occupants. In addition, it was performed to determine the probability of TBI according to sex, vehicle type, seating position, seatbelt status, collision type, and crush extent using logistic regression analysis. In order to derive more precise predictive models, it would be needed to analyze more factors for vehicle damage, environment, and occupant injury in future studies.

This paper investigates the impact of seamless integration of horticultural activity in the new residential typology of retirement community. It is believed that horticultural therapy is not only beneficial for physical and psychological but also promotes socialisation opportunities among the elderly. Comparative analysis method on selected precedent studies has been carried out and analysed in accordance with Malaysian context. Initial findings indicate that a retirement community with horticultural activity gives therapy for healthier well-being. This therapeutic activity can be apositive change in elderly lifestyle and essential towards the establishment of retirement community in Malaysia.
