China has entered into a new developmental phase where the government can promote national fitness, the sports industry, and city tourism, simultaneously. Rapidly becoming the largest single sporting events in China, marathon events help facilitate this integration. However, event organizers tend to focus on winning bids for events instead of improving event services and increasing the loyalty of runners to the host city, which could benefit the city for sustainable development. In this study, the antecedents affecting marathon runner loyalty to the city hosting the annual hallmark event (i.e., destination loyalty) were investigated by studying a sample of 392 repeat runners during a recent HengQin International Marathon (HQ-M). Conducting structural equation modeling (SEM) analyses, the proposed model, integrating event service quality (ESQ), destination image (DI), satisfaction (SAT), and destination loyalty (DLOY), was confirmed. Nine hypothesized paths were identified among these four constructs, including six direct paths and three indirect paths. Meanwhile, mediation effects and serial mediation effects of DI and SAT between ESQ and DLOY were found. Good ESQ, positive DI, and high SAT were found both separately and collectively to enhance DLOY and have important implications for the strategic marketing of sporting events and sustaining city brand image.

ABSTRACT The role of Islamic banking in the national economy becomes more strategic as the government is facing fiscal limitation in funding the development. The growth of Islamic banking, a bank managed by implementing the principles of Islamic law, has not been satisfactory. This can be examined by referring to the role of Islamic banking in national banking which is  till in the rate of less than 5 percent. This research aims to observe the influences of religiosity and service quality on trust and customer loyalty, as well as to observe the influence of trust on customer loyaltyof Islamic Bank in Bogor. By collecting 76 samples of Islamic bank customers in Bogor and utilizing structural equation modeling partial least square (SEM-PLS) as the technique of analysis, it is revealed that the aspects of religiosity and service quality are influential on loyalty if it is supported by trust. Meanwhile, the trust itself has a positive influence on loyalty. The finding implies that to increase the loyalty of Islamic bank customers, customer trust should be built.

Abstract This study is aimed at investigating the direct relationships between service quality dimensions with perceived value and the destination loyalty, in addition to examining the mediating effect of perceived value. Using data from 508 international tourists visiting UAE and applying structural equation modeling we found the following. First, we found a significant and positive relationship between the five dimensions of service quality and perceived value. Second, we found direct, a positive and significant relationship between four service quality dimensions and destination loyalty. In addition, there exists a mediating effect of perceived value on the relationship between all the dimension of service quality and destination loyalty. The relationships of all the service quality dimensions are partially mediated except tangible facilities dimension which is fully mediated by perceived value. The study recommended that destination managers should focus on what make the tourists feel that the value they received is equal or more than what they expected to create positive tourist loyalty behaviour and enhance destination attractiveness. Thus, high level of perceived value service quality provided can be achieved if government and managers fully understand the key importance of providing quality service and continues evaluating and enhancing the quality of service provided. Keywords: destination loyalty, perceived value, service quality dimensions, destination loyalty, tourism sector.

This study is one of the few of its kind that explores the individual impact of each of the cognitive attributes of a tourist destination’s image on cruisers’ destination loyalty and overall satisfaction. It also analyzes the mediating role of satisfaction between each of the attributes and loyalty. Variance-based structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was used for this analysis, based on a survey of 457 cruisers visiting the city of Malaga. The results confirm that three of the five attributes, the destination’s environment image, the perceived value image of services and the accessibility image have a direct influence on cruisers’ overall satisfaction, where environment image has the most significant impact. Moreover, the results support the mediating role of satisfaction in certain cases. There is total mediation between perceived value and loyalty, as well as between accessibility image and loyalty while there is only partial complementary mediation between environment image and loyalty. The confirmation that overall satisfaction influences loyalty enables management organizations to develop more efficient loyalty strategies for their respective destinations.

Over the years, the field of talent management has attracted much attention among stakeholders. Therefore, this present study aims to explicitly state whether talent management impacts service quality. The population of the study was 275 employees of the National Institute for Labour Studies. However, the study purposely administered 250 questionnaires because we had to use structural equation modeling analysis to analyzed the collected data. The outcomes of the analysis our result have confirmed the following: (1) talent attraction have an impact on service quality, (2) talent retention affect service quality, (3) reward strategy affects service quality, (4) The relationship between talent attraction and service quality mediated by reward strategy, and (5) The relationship between talent retention and service quality mediated by reward strategy. Based on our findings, it can be inferred that service quality improvements have been influenced by attraction and retention of talent, and a weak relationship between the variables can be strengthened through a reward strategy. This study contributed to a different system of talent management and service quality relationships that should be included in strategic planning. Therefore, the institutes, other organizations, and the government can use employ attraction and retention talent to improve service quality in their realm.
