Climate change can lead to unpredictable slope collapse, which causes human casualties. Therefore, Korea has devoted significant effort to the management of slope disasters. The Ministry of the Interior and Safety of Korea, which oversees the safety of the nation’s people, has allocated a four-year budget of $557 million to investigate, assess, and maintain steep slope sites. However, there have been fatalities caused by steep slope site evaluations based on inadequate knowledge and a single retaining walls and embankments (RW&E) assessment table. Therefore, the assessment table for RW&E-type steep slopes needs to be improved in terms of its accuracy, simplicity, and ease of use. In this study, domestic and global evaluation methods were reviewed, problems associated with the existing RW&E assessment table were identified, and a focus group interview was conducted. The RW&E assessment table was improved through an indicator feasibility survey and analytic hierarchy processing. The improved assessment table was categorized from one to four classifications to reduce the ambiguity of the evaluation: concrete, reinforced soil-retaining walls, stone embankments, and gabions. This study will provide the sustainability of slope safety and serve as a reference for classification and evaluation criteria across all national institutions that conduct RW&E evaluations.

Internet financial wealth management product(IFWMP) has recently been one of the most popularity. There is limited quantitative research on IFWMP which can helps customers to choose the products based on the significance of each factor. In the paper, a multi-criteria decision-making model of IFWMP was developed, namely analytic hierarchy process (AHP) which is used to make decisions to the unstructured problems through quantifying weights of each criterion. This paper investigated ten influential factors relevant to the purchase of IFWMP and analyzed the frequency of collected responds to show the significance of factors. Based on the quantified weights, the result of the research indicated that compatibility, product liquidity, perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness affect the investors purchasing behaviors most that every investors should pay great attention to.

In this study, an environmental risk analysis model is developed as a decision support system (the RAGISADR) in order to assess environmental risks for transportation of dangerous goods. Transport of dangerous goods needs to be regulated to prevent accidents. Moving dangerous goods by road is governed by international regulations. GIS are used to quantify the factors on each link in the network that contribute to each of the evaluation criteria for a possible route. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is used to assign weights to factors. The priority weights of each environmental criteria is calculated by using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) before risk models are implemented in the road network of Izmir-Manisa-Aydin-Mugla-Denizli (Aegean Region of Turkey). The most convenient route according to the criteria set is determined. The results give decision maker the possibility to choose the best alternative among possible routes according to certain criteria.

The use of multicriteria decision analysis (MCDA) methodology is not uncommon in organizational decisions. However, information systems (IS) researchers have focused on statistical hypothesis testing in examining organizational technology adoption decisions. In this study, an MCDA methodology is adopted in examining the effects of the technology acceptance model (TAM) constructs on organizational software acquisition decision. Analytic hierarchy process (AHP) provides an evaluation model based on the experiential knowledge of domain experts. The results of the study show that software performance plays a significant role in the software acquisition decision matrix, while vendor characteristic is given the least priority. The study also points to the fact that perceived usefulness is more vital than perceived ease of use in software evaluation and acquisition.

Contrary to actual logistics networks in which chains are frozen, in the proposed partnership network, a dynamic chain is only built each time an order is requested; nothing is planned ahead of time. An isoarchic control model based on the holonic paradigm is proposed. The control of the partnership network can be seen through a simultaneous analysis of the holon views. The proposed control is based on a multicriteria analysis method by complete aggregation (Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP)). The assignment of orders is based on the search for the best response to a Call For Proposals submitted by a customer. The solution that appears to be the most efficient in terms of the evaluation criteria will be adopted. For validation purposes, a simulation of the proposed approach was implemented using a distributed simulation environment HLA (High Level Architecture). A set of realistic tests were used to evaluate the proposed approach.
