Based on urban economic data in the Yangtze River Delta region of China from 2011 to 2017, this study empirically explores the characteristics of green finance development and its influencing factors through the establishment of a time fixed effects Durbin model. The empirical results are as follows: (1) The development of green finance in the Yangtze River Delta has a clear spatial cluster effect, and there are large regional differences. (2) The regional GDP, regional innovation level, and air quality are the most important influencing factors, and the degree of financial development and the optimization of the industrial structure are not significant. (3) Regional GDP is positively correlated with the development of green finance, and regional innovation level and air quality are negatively correlated with the development of green finance. (4) Regional GDP, regional innovation level, and air quality are associated with the development level of green finance mainly through direct effects. The degree of financial development and the optimization of industrial structure are associated with the development level of green finance mainly through spillover effects. The degree of financial development has a positive spillover effect; in contrast, the optimization of the industrial structure has a negative spillover effect. Finally, according to the conclusions, countermeasures and suggestions for improving the level of green finance development in the Yangtze River Delta are proposed.

Urbanization is an important factor in the growth of carbon emissions, as the city is a dense area of carbon emissions. This paper estimates the carbon emissions at the provincial, municipal, and county spatial scales in the Yangtze River Delta region during 2008–2015. On this basis, this paper makes a comprehensive analysis of the pathway and difference of the urbanization to the carbon emission by using the scale variance decomposition method, the space correlation analysis method, the mediation effect test method, and the space panel data model. The results show that the urbanization of the Yangtze River Delta has a significant positive impact on carbon emissions; The pathway from urbanization to industrial structure has a significant impact on carbon emissions. Although the pathway from industrial structure to urbanization to carbon emissions is insignificant, the industrial structure directly affects carbon emissions. There is a significant path from urbanization to the level of economic development to carbon emissions, but there is no mechanism for the economic development level to adversely affect the level of urbanization and thus affect carbon emissions; the chain action pathway from the urbanization level to the employment level to the economic development level to carbon emissions is not significant. Finally, based on the research conclusions, the corresponding policy recommendations are submitted.

Transportation infrastructure, which has always been regarded as an important element to promote regional innovation, accelerates factor flows and productivity spillovers. In February 2021, the State Council of China issued the outline of national integrated multidimensional transportation network planning (2021–2050), which proposed that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the Yangtze River Delta would speed up the construction of an integrated transport network to serve the dual circulation development pattern in China. However, few studies have systematically investigated the development of integrated transport in the Yangtze River Delta, especially the relationship between transport operating efficiency and regional innovation based on the theory of flow space. This study aims to calculate the integrated transport efficiency of 26 cities in the Yangtze River Delta and analyse the spillover effect of efficiency improvement on urban innovation. The results reveal that integrated transport efficiency is relatively stable at approximately 0.92. We find that the local innovation value would increase by 0.119% with every 1% increase in transport efficiency, and it would exceed 0.26% after introducing spatial factors. The spillover effect on the surrounding cities is significantly higher than that in the cities themselves, and the result is 0.292 under the economic spatial distance weight matrix. These findings will support the construction of the integrated transport network and provide useful references for government decision makers in the Yangtze River Delta.
