Digital tools and marketing have been widely adopted in various industries throughout the world. These tools have enabled companies to obtain real-time customer insights and create and communicate value to customers more effectively. This study aims at understanding the principles and practices of sustainable digital marketing in the Malaysian property development industry by investigating the extent to which digital marketing has been adopted, the impediments to its adoption, and the strategies to improve digital capabilities for the local context. Digital marketing theories, practices, and models from other industries are adopted and applied to the local property development industry to lay the foundation for making it smart and sustainable. This paper proposes a marketing technology acceptance model (MTAM) for digital marketing strategy and capability development. The key factors used in the model are ease of use, perceived usefulness, perceived cost, higher return, efficiency, digital service quality, digital information quality, digital system quality, attitude towards use, and actual use. The model and hypothetical relationships of critical factors are tested using structural modeling, reliability, and validity techniques using a sample of 279 Malaysian property development sector representatives. A quantitative approach is adopted, using an online questionnaire tool to investigate the behavior of respondents on the current digital marketing practices and capabilities of Malaysian property development companies. The results show that the sample property development companies are driven by the benefit of easily obtaining real-time customer information for creating and communicating value to customers more effectively through the company brand. Further strategies, such as creating real-time interactions, creating key performance indicators to measure digital marketing, personalization, and encouraging innovation in digital marketing are most preferred by local professionals. An adoption framework is provided based on the reviewed models and results of the current study to help transform the Malaysian property development sector into a smart and sustainable property development sector by facilitating the adoption of digital technologies. The results, based on real-time data and pertinent strategies for improvement of the local property sector, are expected to pave the way for inducing sustainable digital marketing trends, enhancing capabilities, and uplifting the state of the property development sector in developing countries.

Despite the growing popularity of self-service business intelligence (SSBI) tools, empirical research that investigates their acceptance by business professionals is still scarce. This paper presents and tests an integrated model of the antecedents of users' acceptance of SSBI tools in business enterprises. The proposed model is developed based on the technology acceptance model (TAM) and incorporating information and system quality from DeLone and McLean IS success model. It also includes an important factor from the business intelligence literature called analysis quality. To test the model, data were collected through a questionnaire survey from 331 business users working in a variety of industries in Jordan. Data were analysed using structural equation modeling (SEM) techniques. The results demonstrated that the three quality factors– information quality, system quality and analysis quality – are key antecedents of perceived usefulness and ease of use, which in turn were found to be strong predictors of users' intention to use SSBI tools. The findings of this study provide several implications for research and practice, and thus should help in the design and deployment of more user-accepted SSBI tools.

Purpose The use of learning management systems (LMSs) such as Google Classroom has increased significantly in higher education institutes during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, only a few studies have investigated instructors’ continued intention to reuse LMS. The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors that influence instructors’ intention to reuse an LMS in higher education institutes. Design/methodology/approach This study adopted a mixed-method research design. In the quantitative section, an integrated model of technology acceptance model and information system success model is proposed to explore the effects of system quality, service quality, information quality, perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness on instructors’ satisfaction and how their satisfaction will influence their intention to reuse Google Classroom in the future. In the qualitative section, to gain more understanding, instructors were asked to identify the challenges that inhibit the adoption of e-Learning technologies in public universities in Iraq and what are their recommendations to rectify them. Findings The findings revealed that service quality had no positive influences on the satisfaction of instructors, while other factors had varying levels of influence, the findings further showed that inadequate internet service and students lack of interest are the biggest challenges instructors faced during their experience with Google Classroom. Research limitations/implications To improve the generalizability of the results, future studies are recommended to include larger samples, in addition, further studies are also advised to take individual traits such as age and gender into consideration. Originality/value The outcomes of this study are expected to benefit researchers, policymakers and LMS developers who are interested in factors that affect instructors’ intention to reuse LMS in higher education institutes in developing countries.

We examined the relationships between the determinants that affect customers' use of food delivery apps. Using an extended technology acceptance model, we explored consumers' experiences in purchasing delivery food through mobile apps. We distributed a self-administered questionnaire online and used structural equation modeling to test the hypotheses. We found that user-generated information, firm-generated information, and system quality had a significant effect on perceived usefulness. In addition, system quality and design quality strongly influenced the perceived ease of use, which improved perceived usefulness, and in turn, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use affected attitude toward the use of mobile apps. Practical implications for the food service industry are discussed.

E-learning is emerging as the new phenomenon of modern education. Universities are adopting e-learning as a strategy for the improving the teaching/learning process. The primary question addressed in this paper is related to the factors influencing the adoption of e-learning. An integrated model was used to explore the factors influencing students' satisfaction with e-learning in Jordan. The model adopted five variables from the technology acceptance model, Delone and McLean model and the social cognitive theory to predict students' satisfaction with e-learning. A sample of 386 students was utilized and an instrument with 30 items was used. Results indicated that perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, system quality, information quality, and computer self-efficacy are major factors influencing students' satisfaction. The coefficient of determination estimated to be 0.498, and yielded a full support of all proposed hypotheses. Conclusions and future work are reported at the end of this study.

The study targets on Guizhou telecom operator who provide E-government services in China. This study applies an expanded technology acceptance model (TAM) to explain the telecom operator acceptance by government. Five variables of TAM through telecom operators are considered including system quality, perceived usefulness, and perceived ease of use, trust and intention to use. To demonstrate the applicability of the proposed framework, a case study of evaluating the acceptance of telecom operators by government in Guizhou province of China is conducted. The results show that the proposed framework is effective in assessing the acceptance of telecom operators involved in E-government and the expanding new factor, trust is of vital importance in this model.

BACKGROUND Continuous in-home monitoring of older adults can provide rich and sensitive data capturing subtle behavioral and cognitive changes. Our previous work has identified multiple metrics that describe meaningful trends in daily activities over time. The continuous, multi-domain nature of this technology may also serve to inform caregivers of the need for increased attention in order to maintain the health and safety of at-risk older adults. Accordingly, care decisions can be based on objective, systematically assessed real-time data. OBJECTIVE The present study deployed a suite of in-home monitoring technologies to detect changing levels of care needs in residents of independent living units in seven retirement communities. METHODS Continuous activity data were presented to staff involved in decisions regarding transitions in care. Comparisons were planned between outcomes for residents whose data were shared and those whose data were not made available to staff. Staff use of the data dashboard was also monitored over the course of the study. RESULTS Despite initial enthusiasm and an iterative process of refinement of measures and modes of data presentation based on staff input, actual inspection and therefore use of resident data was well below expectation. Survey data and in-depth interviews offered insight to the mismatch between intended and actual use. CONCLUSIONS Most continuous in-home monitoring technology acceptance models focus on perceived usefulness and ease of use, and equate intent to use technology with actual use. Our experience suggests otherwise. We found multiple intervening variables exist between perceived usefulness, intent to use and actual use. Ethical, institutional, and social factors are considered in their role as determinants of use.

This study is based on technology acceptance model (TAM). It investigates consumer attitudes toward the use of and consumer behavioral intention to use an RFID door security system at Taipei Arena Ice Land. This study adopts a questionnaire method using purposive sampling and collects data from 250 consumers of Taipei Arena Ice Land. The results of this study show that: 1) system quality has a significant positive impact on perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use, 2) information quality has a significant positive impact on perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use, 3) service quality does not have a significant positive impact on perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use, 4) perceived ease of use has a significant positive impact on perceived usefulness, 5) perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use have a significant positive impact on attitudes toward use, 6) attitudes toward using have a significant positive impact on behavioral intentions to use, 7) perceived usefulness has a significant positive impact on behavioral intentions to use, and 8) perceived ease of use has a significant impact on attitude toward using via perceived usefulness.

The majority of educational institutes have adopted some kind of technology, especially a Learning Management System (LMS), to facilitate the ways of learning in classrooms. Indeed, the investment in technology with the expectation of fostering learning relies on students’ response toward such technology. Therefore, it is essential not only to predict students’ behavior toward a LMS but also to grasp how students make a decision to use a particular system. This chapter explores the potential factors that have the most significant influence on the adoption of LMSs in Egypt as well as the relationships between these factors. The proposed model extends the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to include self-efficacy and system quality, with the expectation that they significantly shape the use of LMS. The data shows that most of the causal relationships between technology acceptance factors are well supported. The results also indicate that the system quality has a direct effect on perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness. One interesting observation is the strong influence of perceived ease of use on LMS usage, much stronger than the influence of perceived usefulness on the use of LMS.

The development of current technology makes people want to book hotel rooms that suit their own needs and desires, then the VHO application in Indonesia comes. This causes the need for a model that is able to measure the extent to which the level of acceptance of VHO applications. The existence of a measurement model for the acceptance of the VHO application will greatly help business people in this field to be able to develop their products and improve the performance of the service products they offer. The purpose of this research is to determine how much acceptance of VHO application users based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). This research approach uses a quantitative approach with survey methods. The data collection technique is using a questionnaire that distributed randomly to users of the VHO application. The data analysis method used is descriptive analysis, using multiple linear regression techniques. The results of this study indicate that the variables of mobile perceived compatibility, mobile perceived financial resources, and mobile perceived system quality have a simultaneous effect on the mobile variable perceived usefulness, the mobile variable perceived ease of use and the intention to use variable.

This research investigated Qatari citizens' perceptions regarding the factors influencing their satisfaction with Metrash2 system. Qatari residents use Metrash2 to query, transact, and follow-up their needed information/services online. The study integrated the technology acceptance model (TAM) and the information system success model (ISSM) to explore the factors influencing users' satisfaction with the system. Perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use were significant predictors of behavioral intentions (R2 = 0.554). Furthermore, service quality, information quality, and behavioral intentions were significant predictors of users' satisfaction (R2 = 0.789). Research results did not support the role of system quality in predicting users' satisfaction. Qatari government should focus on the usefulness and ease of use of the system to drive citizens to use it. Convincing citizens to use Metrash2 requires better service quality and information quality. More details are reported at the end of the paper.
