This work presents the results obtained from a spatial modeling and analysis process on pollutants measured in the air through forty-three monitoring stations located in the three provinces of the Basque Autonomous Community (Spain). The pollutants measured correspond to the set of nitrogen oxides (nitric oxide, NO; nitrogen dioxide, NO 2 ; and nitrogen oxides, NO x ) and atmospheric particulate matter with a diameter less than or equal to 10 micrometers (PM 10 ). The objective of this work was to generate a map of the pollutants that exhaustively covers the entire area of the Basque Autonomous Community using geostatistical techniques, in such a way that it serves as a basis for short and midterm environmental studies.

The on-off pressure mechanism has an important function to the printing press, the quality of which concerns the working performance of the printing machine and the quality of printed products directly. In this paper, the pneumatic on-off pressure mechanism is discussed; the work demand of order on-off pressure is analyzed. In addition, the three-dimensional digital model and the kinematic analysis process can be achieved on the basis of ADAMS software. What’s more, the on pressure value in the process of on pressure is derived from the kinematic analysis. Lastly, the relation between the motion of on-off pressure mechanism and cylinder’s angular displacement is analyzed, an important basis to the on-off pressure mechanism’s optimal design will be provided.

The aim of this paper is to present the results of measurements, on the quality of internal and external environment, carried out during the cruise of the tall ship STS Fryderyk Chopin. The cruise took place between 16th and 30th September 2017 as part of the scientific seminar of the Warsaw University of Technology (WUT) on the Wave, addressed to students of the WTU. After leaving the port of Edinburgh, crossing the North Sea, the Danish straits, stops in Copenhagen and Kołobrzeg, the tall ship reached Szczecin after two weeks. The measurements carried out on the deck included the temperature and relative humidity of the indoor air in three cabins and the men’s bathroom. In two cabins, the CO2 concentration was measured additionally. The outdoor temperature, relative humidity and concentration of PM 1.0, PM 2.5 and PM 10 were also measured. The obtained results allowed to assess the quality of the internal environment in accordance with the standards and to analyze the effectiveness of the mechanical ventilation system. Measurements of particulate matter have shown significant differences between outdoor air quality in the open sea and in ports or near major shipping routes. It turned out that the impact of emissions from passing ships using diesel engines is clearly visible.

Abstract The paper presents analysis results concerning changes in the range of areas of surface and transitional retention, here corresponding with wetlands, in two small lake catchments in the western part of West Polesie. The cartometric research was performed on maps covering the period from the 19th to the early 21st century. The analyses were referred to the modern state of investigation recorded on orthophotomaps in data bases disclosed in Geoportal Krajowy and in the Google Earth Pro application. Lake surface retention showed no substantial changes, and the differences result from the scale of maps used in the study, and therefore from the degree of detail of the presented objects. In the catchment of Lake Czarne Gościnieckie it occupied from 13.61 to 15.64% of its area, and in the catchment of Lake Brzeziczno from 0.96 to 1.28%. The greatest discrepancies in the area of wetlands result from the cartographic method of presentation, and generalisation of maps. In the catchment of Lake Czarne Gościnieckie, areas of transitional retention could be identified on 11 out of 13 maps, and in the catchment of Lake Brzeziczno on 12. In the case of the former catchment, transitional retention occupies from 17.35 to 34.00% of its area, and in the catchment of Brzeziczno from 4.81 to 24.00%. Such different surface areas of wetlands measured on maps, however, do not signify evident tendencies for change. Over the last 200 years, no substantial changes occurred in the studied catchments regarding the range of surface waters and wetlands, as confirmed by field research conducted in the years 2006-2012. The quantity and quality of maps and the variability of their scales encourage a careful interpretation of obtained information. In such a case, it is necessary to supplement cartographic analyses with investigating procedures of map preparation, and also to collect written documents concerning the entire area.

The purpose of this research is to understand the quality of the interaction between operational strategic factors in the manufacturing firms. Given the multiplicity of strategies in the area of operational strategy, to implement or design the strategy, companies need to know the most important and influential strategic factors in the organization. In this study, nine important strategies are selected from the operation field and entered the analysis process to study their interaction type with each other. Research method is the use of SSM approach that is considered as cognitive mapping construction towards the problem. In addition, nine operations strategy factors were classified into four levels using reachability matrix (R) and the quality of the interaction among the elements with each other was identified. The results achieved in the research introduce the most effective and dependent strategic elements of an organization in the area of operations and the most important operational strategies for manufacturing companies.

This research is entitled: "Application of the Quantum Hijaiyah Method in Improving the Ability to Read the Koran of the Muslim Community in West Kalimantan”. The purpose of this study is to guide the convert community (muallaf) to be able to read the Qur'an properly and correctly, equipping them with the ability to practice one of the teachings of Islam, namely to read the holy verses of the Qur'an in order to increase the spirit of converts in practicing Islamic teachings. The object of this research is the Muslim convert community (muallaf) in Senyabang Village, Sanggau District and the Muslim Community in Menjalin Village, Menjalin District, Landak Regency. This qualitative research model targets the social community as an active part of the research process, in order to increase the effectiveness of the data collection and analysis process to produce a recommendation that is truly beneficial for the improvement of the quality of their social life. The community-based research approach is more suitable if it uses an action research model, as applied research that requires dynamic and clinical trials. The results of the study were in the form of application a method of learning the Qur'an in an easier time with the Quantum Hijaiyah method. The training and development participants showed an increase in the mastery of reading hijaiyah letters and verses of the Qur'an during 19 hours of effective learning starting from pre-test, training and post-test activities. Increasing the reading ability of participants is proven by the results of tests and testimonials or acknowledgment from each participant who acknowledges the changes and improvement in the quality of reading the verses of the Qur'an.

In recent years, teachers have started to integrate augmented reality (AR) technology as a potential learning tool into classroom activities. The main concern is the quality of the existing applications rather than brand-newness. Therefore, this chapter focuses on the components of a good educational AR application based on the experiences of teachers and to examine the current situation on the integration of AR to learning environments. Qualitative methodology was used in this study. The sample consisted of 24 teachers working in public schools in Turkey. The data were collected via semi-structured interviews and analyzed through the thematic analysis. The results showed that the components of a good AR application in education were gathered under four main themes: “analysis process,” “design process,” “teaching-learning process,” and “evaluation components.” Implications for the design and use of the AR applications in educational settings were also included in the study.

Much attention has been focused on the problem of effectively designing software architecture to meet non-functional requirements (NFRs). The significant benefits of such work include detecting and removing defects earlier, which reduces development time and cost while improving the quality of the design; in turn the improved quality of the design makes it easier to maintain as the system evolves. The Formal Design Analysis Framework (FDAF) is an aspect-oriented approach proposed to support the design and analysis of multiple NFRs for distributed, concurrent, and real-time systems. In FDAF, non-functional requirements are realized and represented as reusable aspects in the repository; designs are captured in an extended version of the Unified Modeling Language (UML). FDAF supports the automated translation of extended UML designs into existing formal notations. Subsequently, the analysis of an aspect design is achieved using existing formal analysis tools, which leverages a large body of work in the research community. This paper focuses on the modeling and analysis of the response time performance aspect. The algorithms for translating extended UML diagrams into Rapide, the proofs of correctness for the algorithms, and an illustration of the FDAF approach using the Domain Name System are presented.

Dual Vocational Training was introduced in Spain in 2012 with the purpose to reinforce training based on employment requirements and to promote youth employment within the labour market. Since its implementation, there has been continuous growth of the presence of this modality across every Autonomous Community, with Andalusia being one of the latest regions to dualize the Vocational Educational Training (hereinafter VET) educational scheme. From the outset however, this modality has faced a number of obstacles that question its sustainability. Without losing sight of these obstacles, and with the purpose of providing arguments that justify the suitability of this model in Andalusia, this study aims to identify—from the unique perspective of three Andalusian educational institutions—the strengths of this modality and the opportunities that the Andalusian context offers. To this end, we have used the SWOT technique to analyse the opinion of a group of teachers regarding their thoughts on the Andalusian Dual VET system, from both an internal and external perspective. Workforce insertion and the quality of skills gained through training are some of the strengths that characterize this model, with the greatest opportunities derived from the needs of the Andalusian business and productive sectors. Based on the scenarios drawn, we have suggested a number of guidelines to capitalize on some of the identified strengths and take advantage of the opportunities observed.
