In view of the demand of location awareness in a special complex environment, for an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) airborne multi base-station semi-passive positioning system, the hybrid positioning solutions and optimized site layout in the positioning system can effectively improve the positioning accuracy for a specific region. In this paper, the geometric dilution of precision (GDOP) formula of a time difference of arrival (TDOA) and angles of arrival (AOA) hybrid location algorithm is deduced. Mayfly optimization algorithm (MOA) which is a new swarm intelligence optimization algorithm is introduced, and a method to find the optimal station of the UAV airborne multiple base station’s semi-passive positioning system using MOA is proposed. The simulation and analysis of the optimization of the different number of base stations, compared with other station layout methods, such as particle swarm optimization (PSO), genetic algorithm (GA), and artificial bee colony (ABC) algorithm. MOA is less likely to fall into local optimum, and the error of regional target positioning is reduced. By simulating the deployment of four base stations and five base stations in various situations, MOA can achieve a better deployment effect. The dynamic station configuration capability of the multi-station semi-passive positioning system has been improved with the UAV.

In the global positioning system (GPS) denied environment, an indoor positioning system based on ultra-wide band (UWB) technology has been utilized for target location and navigation. It can provide a more accurate positioning measurement than those based on received signal strength (RSS). Although promising, it suffers from some shortcomings that base stations should be preinstalled to obtain reference coordinate information, just as navigation satellites in the GPS system. In order to improve the positioning accuracy, a large number of base stations should be preinstalled and assigned coordinates in the large-scale network. However, the coordinate setup process of the base stations is cumbersome, time consuming, and laborious. For a class of linear network topology, a semi-autonomous coordinate configuration technology of base stations is designed, which refers to three conceptions of segmentation, virtual triangle, and bidirectional calculation. It consists of two stages in every segment: Forward and backward. In the forward stage, it utilizes the manual coordinate setup method to deal with the foremost two base stations, and then the remaining base stations autonomously calculate their coordinates by building the virtual triangle train. In the backward stage, the reverse operation is performed, but the foremost two base stations of the next segment should be used as the head. In the last segment, the last two base stations should be used as the head. Integrating forward and backward data, the base stations could improve their location accuracy. It is shown that our algorithm is feasible and practical in simulation results and can dramatically reduce the system configuration time. In addition, the error and maximum base station number for one segment caused by our algorithm are discussed theoretically.

Over the last few years, it is been experienced wireless sensor networks technologies are grabbing huge attention in almost every aspect of human lives due to its vast coverage in real-life applications. It has emerged as one of the important and very promising technologies with lots of potential from every section due to its importance in wireless information transmission. WSNs due to their useful characteristics are being considered vulnerable to several possible security attacks which may affect the performance of the system. Among these issues, most challenging issues such as sinkhole which is considered as the most dangerous attack in WSN to reduce network performance. It prevents the base station in the process of gathering complete and unmodified data from its source. This work inspired by the integration of FADE and ABC presents a new variant of the metaheuristics fuzzy adaptive differential evolution based optimization algorithm to improve the performance of a wireless sensor network.

The article presents technical solutions for the implementation of a high-precision satellite positioning system when performing mine surveying in an open pit. A system was put into commercial operation at one of the fields of JSC "Sokolovsko-Sarbayskoe mining and processing production association" (JSC "SSGPO") this year. The project was funded by the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan through grants for scientific and technical projects 2018–2020 and was co-financed by a private partner, JSC "SSGPO". All work was carried out jointly with the Subsidiary Limited Liability Company "Institute of Space Engineering and Technology". The technology of differential correction of GNSS signals in the form of base stations of differential correction (BSDC) allows solving the problems of high-precision satellite positioning. The main task assigned to the continuously operating base station is the collection of code and phase data from GPS/GLONASS satellites and the distribution of this data to users (services of JSC "SSGPO" and specialists of contracting organizations performing mine surveying and geodetic work at the field). Development of a mobile module and the rationale for its inclusion in the BSDC is provided in this work.

Glowworm Swarm Optimization Algorithm (GSO) is one of new swarm intelligence optimization algorithms in recent years. Its main idea comes from the cooperative behavior source among individuals during the process of courtship and foraging. In this article, in order to improve convergence speed in the late iteration, avoid the algorithm falling into local optimum, and reduce isolated nodes, the Adaptive Step Mechanism Glowworm Swarm Optimization (ASMGSO) is proposed. The main idea of ASMGSO algorithm is as follows: (1) On the basis of SMGSO algorithm, isolated nodes carry out bunching operator firstly, that is to say they are moving to the central position of the group. If the new position is not better than the current position, then isolated nodes perform mutation operation. (2) At the same time, the fixed step mechanism has been improved. The effectiveness of the proposed ASMGSO algorithm is verified through several classic test functions and application in Distance Vector-Hop.

The article consideres the problems of determining the need to modernize the base stations of the cellular network based on the mathematical apparatus of the theory of fuzzy sets. To improve the quality of telecommunications services the operators should send significant funding for upgrading the equipment of base stations. Modernization can improve and extend the functions of base stations to provide cellular communication, increase the reliability of the base station in operation and the functionality of its individual elements, and reduce the cost of maintenance and repair when working on a cellular network. The complexity in collecting information about the equipment condition is determined by a large number of factors that affect its operation, as well as the imperfection of obtaining and processing the information received. For a comprehensive assessment of the need for modernization, it is necessary to take into account a number of indicators. In the structure of indicators of the need for modernization, there were introduced the parameters reflecting both the degree of aging and obsolescence(the technical gap and the backlog in connection with the emergence of new technologies and standards). In the process of a problem solving, the basic stages of decision-making on modernization have been allocated. Decision-making on the need for modernization is based not only on measuring information that takes into account the decision-makers, but also on linguistic and verbal information. Therefore, to determine the need for upgrading the base stations, the theory of fuzzy sets is used, with the help of which experts can be attracted to this issue. They will be able to formulate additional fuzzy judgments that help to take into account not only measuring characteristics, but also poorly formalized fuzzy information. To do this, the main indicators of the modernization need have been defined, and fuzzy estimates of the need for modernization for all indicators and a set of indicators reflecting the need for upgrading the base stations have been formulated.

Introduction:Effective synthesis of а mobile communication network includes joint optimisation of two processes: placement of base stations and frequency assignment. In real environments, the well-known cellular concept fails due to some reasons, such as not homogeneous traffic and non-isotropic wave propagation in the service area.Purpose:Looking for the universal method of finding a network structure close to the optimal. Results:The proposed approach is based on the idea of adaptive vector quantization of the network service area. As a result, it is reduced to a 2D discrete map split into zones with approximately equal number of service requests. In each zone, the algorithm finds such coordinates of its base station that provide the shortest average distance to all subscribers. This method takes into account the shortage of the a priory information about the current traffic, ensures maximum coverage of the service area, and what is not less important, significantly simplifies the process of frequency assignment.

Abstract A water quality sampling programme for James Bay territory established in a previous study has been carried out for the Department of Natural Resources of the Province of Quebec. The network is composed of 5 base-stations, sampled every fortnight to determine the variability with time of the parameters and 16 satellite-stations, sampled five times yearly with a view to determine the spatial variability. The data (major ions and certain nutrients) gathered during the 1974–1975 field survey are subjected to an analysis by a multivariate technique (correspondence analysis) in addition to certain classical statistical methods. The latter have shown that the mean values obtained at satellite stations were representative of the annual mean. In addition, the results permit the determination for a given parameter, of the relationship between stations and, for a given station, the relationship between parameters. In both cases, the formulation of predictive equations was attempted. An overall evaluation of the data by correspondence analysis has permitted: - a more precise definition of the qualitative behaviour of the different sub-basins of the James Bay territory and characterization of their waters;- a proof of the existence of gradual concentration changes in both East-West and North-South directions. Within the original objectives of the network, the results of the study have led to the following recommendations: - to continue synchronised samplings;- to transform a base station with a low information content into a satellite station;- to create a new base station in the eastern part of the territory.

Short time load forecasting is essential for daily planning and operation of electric power system. It is the important basis for economic dispatching, scheduling and safe operation. Neural network, which has strong nonlinear fitting capability, is widely used in the load forecasting and obtains good prediction effect in nonlinear chaotic time series forecasting. However, the neural network is easy to fall in local optimum, unable to find the global optimal solution. This paper will integrate the traditional optimization algorithm and propose the hybrid intelligent optimization algorithm based on particle swarm optimization algorithm and ant colony optimization algorithm (ACO-PSO) to improve the generalization of the neural network. In the empirical analysis, we select electricity consumption in a certain area for validation. Compared with the traditional BP neutral network and statistical methods, the experimental results demonstrate that the performance of the improved model with more precise results and stronger generalization ability is much better than the traditional methods.

Cellular network operators are predicting an increase in space of more than 200 percent to carry the move and tremendous increase of total users in data traffic. The growing of investments in infrastructure such as a large number of small cells, particularly the technologies such as LTE-Advanced and 6G Technology, can assist in mitigating this challenge moderately. In this paper, we suggest a projection study in spectrum sharing of radar multi-input and multi-output, and mobile LTE multi-input multi-output communication systems near m base stations (BS). The radar multi-input multi-output and mobile LTE communication systems split different interference channels. The new approach based on radar projection signal detection has been proposed for free interference disturbance channel with radar multi-input multi-output and mobile LTE multi-input multi-output by using a new proposed interference cancellation algorithm. We chose the channel of interference with the best free channel, and the detected signal of radar was projected to null space. The goal is to remove all interferences from the radar multi-input multi-output and to cancel any disturbance sources from a chosen mobile Communication Base Station. The experimental results showed that the new approach performs very well and can optimize Spectrum Access.
