Target tracking and interception in a dynamic world proves to be a fundamental challenge faced by both animals and artificial systems. To track moving objects under natural conditions, agents must employ strategies to mitigate interference and conditions of uncertainty. Animal studies of prey tracking and capture reveal biological solutions, which can inspire new technologies, particularly for operations in complex and noisy environments. By reviewing research on target tracking and interception by echolocating bats, we aim to highlight biological solutions that could inform new approaches to artificial sonar tracking and navigation systems. Most bat species use wideband echolocation signals to navigate dense forests and hunt for evasive insects in the dark. Importantly, bats exhibit rapid adaptations in flight trajectory, sonar beam aim, and echolocation signal design, which appear to be key to the success of these animals in a variety of tasks. The rich suite of adaptive behaviors of echolocating bats could be leveraged in new sonar tracking technologies by implementing dynamic sensorimotor feedback control of wideband sonar signal design, head, and ear movements.

Multi-Object Tracking (MOT) in airborne videos is a challenging problem due to the uncertain airborne vehicle motion, vibrations of the mounted camera, unreliable detections, changes of size, appearance and motion of the moving objects and occlusions caused by the interaction between moving and static objects in the scene. To deal with these problems, this work proposes a four-stage hierarchical association framework for multiple object tracking in airborne video. The proposed framework combines Data Association-based Tracking (DAT) methods and target tracking using a compressive tracking approach, to robustly track objects in complex airborne surveillance scenes. In each association stage, different sets of tracklets and detections are associated to efficiently handle local tracklet generation, local trajectory construction, global drifting tracklet correction and global fragmented tracklet linking. Experiments with challenging airborne videos show significant tracking improvement compared to existing state-of-the-art methods.

Bluecoke is a new type carbon product that prepared by low temperature carbonization process, which take lignite, long flame coal, not sticky and weak glue coal as raw material. At the same time tar and coke oven gas as by-products can be obtained. Two new technologies of Bluecoke production were introduced based on summary of way of producing Bluecoke by low metamorphic coal, namely the rich oxygen carbonization and the microwave carbonization. Both ways have their advantages and disadvantages. By contrast, the quality of coke and the content of valid gas are better using microwave carbonization, which to follow-up industry chains development significantly.

Introduction: Pain control in patients undergoing orthodontic treatment is one of the major challenges of such treatments. The use of new technologies such as Laser offers promising results in this field. The goal of this study is to survey the works on effect of low-power laser on pain relief during orthodontic treatments. Methodology: The key terms including “orthodontics, reduction, pain, low level, power, laser and laser therapy” alone as well as combinations. those key terms were used to search the databases including “Google Scholar, Science Direct, and PubMed”. The review of collected sources was done which led to selection of 557 papers. The validation was done through CONSORT guidelines. Results: After review of selected papers, 34 studies including 32 human studies and 2 animal studies were selected. Conclusion: The positive findings of reviewed studies on use of laser therapy suggest that low power laser could be effective on pain relief. Conducting further studies on this subject will be beneficial.

For multiple objects tracking in complex scenes, this paper proposes a new tracking algorithm for multiple moving objects. The algorithm makes likelihood calculation by using new DG_CENTRIST feature and color feature, and then calculates the overlapping ratio of the tracking object and the object in the current frame using coincidence degree to measure the occlusion. The algorithm has good robustness and stability, and the experiment results show that this method can effectively improve the accuracy of the multiple target tracking.

Moving object detection and tracking (MODT) is the major challenging issue in computer vision, which plays a vital role in many applications like robotics, surveillance, navigation systems, militaries, environmental monitoring etc. There are several existing techniques, which has been used to detect and track the moving object in Surveillance system. Therefore it is necessary to develop new algorithm or modified algorithm which is robust to work in both day and night time. In this paper, modified BGS technique is proposed. The video is first converted to number of frames, then these frame are applied to modified background subtraction technique with adaptive threshold which gives detected object. Kalman filter technique is used for tracking the detected object. The experimental results shows this proposed method can efficiently and correctly detect and track the moving objects with less processing time which is compared with existing techniques.

Okara is a perishable, cheap and abundant by-product derived from soybean after extracting the soluble fraction for tofu or soybean drink, mainly known as soymilk, production. Nowadays, Okara is mostly discarded: landfill and incineration, but a useful alternative for valorisation would be to use it as a valuable source of dietary fibre. However, it presents low soluble dietary fibre (SDF) content responsible for prebiotic and anti-carcinogenic effects, so an easy industrial transformation to maximize its SDF content would be most interesting for this purpose. Different approaches can be used to increase SDF content, such as chemical or enzymatic treatments with food-grade enzymes at atmospheric pressure, but these conventional methods present some disadvantages as that the chemical procedures are pollutant and the extractions normally are incomplete, and the enzymatic methods could be expensive to scale-up. On the other hand, currently, consumers are demanding for safer, more natural and minimally-processed foods. This request has led researchers and manufacturers to develop new technologies, and within these, high hydrostatic pressure (HHP) is one of the top-10 most popular emerging technologies applied in the field of food science. The effect of HHP, and more recently, the combined effect of HHP and enzymatic treatment on okara by-product have been studied, showing that this novel approach, should also be considered in order to stabilise other agro-food byproducts -due to their perishable character- as well as to improve the functionality of the rich-ininsoluble dietary fibre from vegetable residues.

Moving objects databases (MODs) provide the framework for the efficient storage and retrieval of the changing position of continuously moving objects. This includes the current and past locations of moving objects and the support of spatial queries that refer to historical location information and future projections as well. Nowadays, new spatiotemporal applications that require tracking and recording the trajectories of moving objects online are emerging. Digital battlefields, traffic supervision, mobile communication, navigation systems, and geographic information systems (GIS) are among these applications. Towards this goal, during recent years many efforts have focused on MOD formalism, data models, query languages, visualization, and access methods (Guting et al., 2000; Saltenis & Jensen, 2002; Sistla, Wolfson, Chamberlain, & Dao, 1997). However, little work has appeared on benchmarking.
