The flexural ultrasonic transducer comprises a piezoelectric ceramic disc bonded to a membrane. The vibrations of the piezoelectric ceramic disc induce flexural modes in the membrane, producing ultrasound waves. The transducer is principally utilized for proximity or flow measurement, designed for operation at atmospheric pressure conditions. However, there is rapidly growing industrial demand for the flexural ultrasonic transducer in applications including water metering or in petrochemical plants where the pressure levels of the gas or liquid environment can approach 100 bar. In this study, characterization methods including electrical impedance analysis and pitch-catch ultrasound measurement are employed to demonstrate the dynamic performance of flexural ultrasonic transducers in air at elevated pressures approaching 100 bar. Measurement principles are discussed, in addition to modifications to the transducer design for ensuring resilience at increasing air pressure levels. The results highlight the importance of controlling the parameters of the measurement environment and show that although the conventional design of flexural ultrasonic transducer can exhibit functionality towards 100 bar, its dynamic performance is unsuitable for accurate ultrasound measurement. It is anticipated that this research will initiate new developments in ultrasound measurement systems for fluid environments at elevated pressures.

In this paper, a novel dual-stator permanent magnet machine (DsPmSynM) with low cost and high torque density is designed. The winding part of the DsPmSynM adopts phase-group concentrated-coil windings, and the permanent magnets are arranged by spoke-type. Firstly, the winding structure reduces the amount of copper at the end of the winding. Secondly, the electromagnetic torque ripple of DsPmSynM is suppressed by reducing the cogging torque. Furthermore, the dynamic performance of DsPmSynM is studied. Finally, the experimental results are compared with the simulation results.

The measurement performance of road vehicle automatic weighing instrument installed on highways is directly related to the safety of roads and bridges. The fuzzy number indicates that the uncertain quantization problem has obvious advantages. By analyzing the factors affecting the metrological performance of the road vehicle automatic weighing instrument, combined with the fuzzy mathematics theory, the weight evaluation model of the dynamic performance evaluation of the road vehicle automatic weighing instrument is proposed. The factors of measurement performance are summarized and calculated, and the comprehensive evaluation standard of the metering performance of the weighing equipment is obtained, so as to realize the quantifiable analysis and evaluation of the metering performance of the dynamic road vehicle automatic weighing instrument in use, and provide data reference for adopting a more scientific measurement supervision method.
