In recent years, compound glass microsphere resonator devices have attracted increasing interest and have been widely used in sensing, microsphere lasers, and nonlinear optics. Compared with traditional silica resonators, compound glass microsphere resonators have many significant and attractive properties, such as high-Q factor, an ability to achieve high rare earth ion, wide infrared transmittance, and low phonon energy. This review provides a summary and a critical assessment of the fabrication and the optical characterization of compound glasses and the related fabrication and applications of compound glass microsphere resonators.

Selecting lactam 2,6-pyridinedicarboxamide (PDCA) as the ligand and 1,4-butanediol as chain extender, we prepare polyurea polyurethane PDCA-PU; then, introduction of rare earth ion Eu3+ and small molecule ligands 1,10-phenanthroline (phen), synthesized binary and ternary polyurethane composite containing Eu3+, and comparing the fluorescence properties of the material. We investigated the thermal stability and luminescence properties of hybrids and found that the ternary hybrid materials exhibit better thermal stability and stronger emission intensity.

<p>The present paper reports the Photoluminescence (PL) of the Sr2CeO4 phosphor, singly doped with Erbium rare-earth ion with different concentrations (0.01, 0.1, 0.2, 0.5 and 1%).The phosphor samples were synthesized using the standard solid state reaction technique. The effect of Er dopant on the structural, morphological, and Photoluminescent properties of the samples are studied with X-ray diffraction (XRD), PL and SEM analysis. The PL emission of undoped Sr2CeO4 phosphor was observed at 470 nm with high intensity followed by the primary Er emissions with good intensity at 525, 530, 549, 557 and 565 nm.</p>
