The synthesis and characterization of a new molecular dyad consisting of a benzodithiophene-based push-pull linked to a fullerene derivative through the use of the well-known Copper Azide-Alkyne Huisgen Cycloaddition (CuAAC) reaction is reported herein. Once fully characterized at the molecular level, single component organic solar cells were fabricated to demonstrate photon-to-electron conversion, and therefore the design principle.

In this paper, a intermediate compound of solar cell materials and plant activator was reported. 4-hexyl aniline as the raw material, through a series of reactions to get a new compound E and characterized by 1H NMR and IR. This compound has excellent solubility in common solvents and as a promising candidate of synthesizing organic solar cell materials and plant activator.

The regioregularity and band gap of P3HT, an organic solar cell donor polymer, were improved. Oxidative coupling enhanced regioregularity, voltammetric p-doping broadened the optical absorption band and a molar mass increase reduced the band gap.
