It is known that there does not exist any Hopf hypersurface in complex Grassmannians of rank two of complex dimension 2m with constant sectional curvature for m≥3. The purpose of this article is to extend the above result, and without the Hopf condition, we prove that there does not exist any locally conformally flat real hypersurface for m≥3.

Abstract Let M be a real hypersurface in nonflat complex space forms of complex dimension two. In this paper, we prove that the shape operator of M is transversally Killing with respect to the generalized Tanaka-Webster connection if and only if M is locally congruent to a type (A) or (B) real hypersurface. We also prove that shape operator of M commutes with Cho operator on holomorphic distribution if and only if M is locally congruent to a ruled real hypersurface.

AbstractAlmost paracontact metric manifolds are the famous examples of almost para-CR manifolds. We find necessary and sufficient conditions for such manifolds to be para-CR. Next we examine these conditions in certain subclasses of almost paracontact metric manifolds. Especially, it is shown that normal almost paracontact metric manifolds are para-CR. We establish necessary and sufficient conditions for paracontact metric manifolds as well as for almost para-cosymplectic manifolds to be para-CR. We find also basic curvature identities for para-CR paracontact metric manifolds and study their consequences. Among others, we prove that any para-CR paracontact metric manifold of constant sectional curvature and of dimension greater than 3 must be para-Sasakian and its curvature equal to -1. The last assertion does not hold in dimension 3. We show that a conformally flat para-Sasakian manifold is of constant sectional curvature equal to -1. New classes of examples of para-CR manifolds are established.

Abstract. In this paper we characterize K-contact semi-Riemannian manifolds and Sasakian semi- Riemannian manifolds in terms of curvature. Moreover, we show that any conformally flat K-contact semi-Riemannian manifold is Sasakian and of constant sectional curvature κ = ɛ, where ɛ = ± denotes the causal character of the Reeb vector field. Finally, we give some results about the curvature of a K-contact Lorentzian manifold.

<p>In this paper, it is proved that if a non-Hopf real hypersurface in a nonflat complex space form of complex dimension two satisfies Ki and Suh's condition (J. Korean Math. Soc., 32 (1995), 161–170), then it is locally congruent to a ruled hypersurface or a strongly $ 2 $-Hopf hypersurface. This extends Ki and Suh's theorem to real hypersurfaces of dimension greater than or equal to three.</p>

In this paper, we first apply an integral identity on Ricci solitons to prove that closed locally conformally flat gradient Ricci solitons are of constant sectional curvature. We then generalize this integral identity to complete noncompact gradient shrinking Ricci solitons, under the conditions that the Ricci curvature is bounded from below and the Riemannian curvature tensor has at most exponential growth. As a consequence, we classify complete locally conformally flat gradient shrinking Ricci solitons with Ricci curvature bounded from below.

AbstractIn this paper, we establish a finiteness theorem for $L^{p}$ L p harmonic 1-forms on a locally conformally flat Riemannian manifold under the assumptions on the Schrödinger operators involving the squared norm of the traceless Ricci form. This result can be regarded as a generalization of Han’s result on $L^{2}$ L 2 harmonic 1-forms.

AbstractIn this paper, we study a class of homogeneous Finsler metrics of vanishing $S$-curvature on a $(4n+3)$-dimensional sphere. We find a second order ordinary differential equation that characterizes Einstein metrics with constant Ricci curvature $1$ in this class. Using this equation we show that there are infinitely many homogeneous Einstein metrics on $S^{4n+3}$ of constant Ricci curvature $1$ and vanishing $S$-curvature. They contain the canonical metric on $S^{4n+3}$ of constant sectional curvature $1$ and the Einstein metric of non-constant sectional curvature given by Jensen in 1973.

AbstractIn this paper we obtain some new characterizations of pseudo-Einstein real hypersurfaces in $\mathbb{C}P^{2}$ and $\mathbb{C}H^{2}$. More precisely, we prove that a real hypersurface in $\mathbb{C}P^{2}$ or $\mathbb{C}H^{2}$ with constant mean curvature is generalized ${\mathcal{D}}$-Einstein with constant coefficient if and only if it is pseudo-Einstein. We prove that a real hypersurface in $\mathbb{C}P^{2}$ with constant scalar curvature is generalized ${\mathcal{D}}$-Einstein with constant coefficient if and only if it is pseudo-Einstein.
