There is a family of vector bundles over the moduli space of stable curves that, while first appearing in theoretical physics, has been an active topic of study for algebraic geometers since the 1990s. By computing the rank of the exceptional Lie algebra g2 case of these bundles in three different ways, a family of summation formulas for Fibonacci numbers in terms of the golden ratio is derived.

Abstract Let C be a hyperelliptic curve of genus $g \geq 3$ . In this paper, we give a new geometric description of the theta map for moduli spaces of rank 2 semistable vector bundles on C with trivial determinant. In order to do this, we describe a fibration of (a birational model of) the moduli space, whose fibers are GIT quotients $(\mathbb {P}^1)^{2g}//\text {PGL(2)}$ . Then, we identify the restriction of the theta map to these GIT quotients with some explicit degree 2 osculating projection. As a corollary of this construction, we obtain a birational inclusion of a fibration in Kummer $(g-1)$ -varieties over $\mathbb {P}^g$ inside the ramification locus of the theta map.

We generalize Bertram's work on rank two vector bundles to an irreducible projective nodal curve C. We use the natural rational map [Formula: see text] defined by [Formula: see text] to study a compactification [Formula: see text] of the moduli space [Formula: see text] of semi-stable vector bundles of rank 2 and determinant L on C. In particular, we resolve the indeterminancy of ϕL in the case deg L = 3,4 via a sequence of three blow-ups with smooth centers.

AbstractWe prove a variant of a formula due to Zhang relating the Beilinson– Bloch height of the Gross–Schoen cycle on a pointed curve with the self-intersection of its relative dualizing sheaf. In our approach, the height of the Gross–Schoen cycle occurs as the degree of a suitable Bloch line bundle. We show that the Chern form of this line bundle is nonnegative, and we calculate its class in the Picard group of the moduli space of pointed stable curves of compact type. The basic tools are normal functions and biextensions associated to the cohomology of the universal Jacobian.

In this paper, closed forms of the summation formulas for generalized Fibonacci and Gaussian generalized Fibonacci numbers are presented. Then, some previous results are recovered as particular cases of the present results. As special cases, we give summation formulas of Fibonacci, Lucas, Pell, Pell-Lucas, Jacobsthal, Jacobsthal-Lucas numbers and Gaussian Fibonacci, Gaussian Lucas, Gaussian Pell, Gaussian Pell-Lucas, Gaussian Jacobsthal, Gaussian Jacobsthal-Lucas numbers.

Fibonacci numbers, Lucas numbers and Mulatu numbers are built in the same method. The three numbers differ in the first term, while the second term is entirely the same. The next terms are the sum of two successive terms. In this article, generalizations of Fibonacci, Lucas and Mulatu (GFLM) numbers are built which are generalizations of the three types of numbers. The Binet formula is then built for the GFLM numbers, and determines the golden ratio, silver ratio and Bronze ratio of the GFLM numbers. This article also presents generalizations of these three types of ratios, called Metallic ratios. In the last part we state the Metallic ratio in the form of continued fraction and nested radicals.

We expose a new procedure of quantization of fields, based on the Geometric Langlands Correspondence. Starting from fields in the target space, we first reduce them to the case of fields on one-complex-variable target space, at the same time increasing the possible symmetry groupGL. Use the sigma model and momentum maps, we reduce the problem to a problem of quantization of trivial vector bundles with connection over the space dual to the Lie algebra of the symmetry groupGL. After that we quantize the vector bundles with connection over the coadjoint orbits of the symmetry groupGL. Use the electric-magnetic duality to pass to the Langlands dual Lie groupG. Therefore, we have some affine Kac-Moody loop algebra of meromorphic functions with values in Lie algebra=Lie(G). Use the construction of Fock space reprsentations to have representations of such affine loop algebra. And finally, we have the automorphic representations of the corresponding Langlands-dual Lie groupsG.
