We examine the effectiveness and sustainability of the distance teacher education program established by the University of Education, Winneba, Ghana, by investigating the differences in the academic performance of students who are trained in the teacher education program via traditional and distance education modes, respectively, from 2011 to 2015. Close attention is paid to the factors that affect the academic performance of students in the distance mode. Our findings confirm that traditional mode students perform better than their distance mode counterparts in terms of cumulative GPAs. Gender and economic demographics of distance study centers are found to affect the academic performance of distance education students significantly. The policy implications of these findings are discussed and directions of further action are outlined.

The importance of reflection during learning process is widely recognized. Drawing on the literature, this article presents a study where students were stimulated to reflect during experiential learning, in order to both re- and de- contextualize their knowledge. We describe how different levels of prompted reflection can be related to academic performance and perceptions of the learning process. We found positive relationships between prompting reflection and the academic performance. It is therefore argued that prompting reflection leads to higher levels of reflection and better performance in writing. The results also show that higher levels of reflection do not have to diminish students’ motivation, perception of usefulness, interest and enjoyment during learning. Finally, the results reveal needs for encouraging more collaborative reflection during learning.

In the current stressful and negative external environmental conditions, the number of insecure, emotionally unstable children with anxiety is growing. In the works of A.I. Zakharova, N.V. Imeladze, L.M. Prikhozhan, it is said that when a person is constantly agitated, panic occurs. According to the analysis of the research of many authors, child anxiety, on the one hand, has a psychodynamic nature, and on the other-is the result of socialization. According to psychologists, there is a high level of anxiety in students ' learning process. As a result of the study of this problem, it was found that the level of anxiety and the child's academic performance are closely related. The process of adaptation of children to the learning process is closely related to the panic process. However, the level of anxiety in lower-class students affects the learning process and learning outcomes.

The Geo-Gebra software as a didactic tool in the teaching-learning process of mathematics and its impact on academic performance in the first semester students of the Faculty of Natural Resources, Agronomic engineering career of ESPOCH. The problem that has been detected in the students of the first semester, a high rate of low performance in the learning of mathematics, in the race because there is a culture of learning on the part of the students, it is determined that we must make profound changes in educational paradigms, the proposal for this process is to use the Geo-Gebra software didactic tool of mathematics, for the research was based on a questionnaire of questions applied with respect to the use of Goe-Gebra software, as a teaching resource in teaching- learning of mathematics, then with the use of this tool a form of satisfaction was applied to students and teachers, to later make the didactic guide using the Geo - Gebra educational software, hence the importance of making striking designs according to the level or semester and with contents attached to the current geometry plans and programs in which  educational. According to the work experience, a didactic guide was designed for the use of educational software specifically for inequations. It is concluded the research carried out that 72% of the students surveyed consider, using the ICTs it would improve the learning of the geometry and its academic performance; Therefore, it is recommended to train the teachers of the area and promote the proposal in the institution for the application in the teaching-learning process.

Distance education is essentially the basis for the development of educational institutions that provide innovative services, which cannot be obtained elsewhere. It is believed that distance education is a substitute for the traditional as part of simplifying and cheapening the learning process. At the same time, the leading global trends suggest the need for the development of elements of self-education and the expansion of the geographical nature of educational offers. The relevance of the study is that it is necessary to distinguish between the use of distance education methods in the traditional sphere and the sphere of training professionals. The paper presents the concept of the need to integrate elements of distance education in the process of preparing university teachers. The authors believe that teachers in drawing up courses and applying learning technologies use the same techniques as in distance learning. Therefore, the use of distance learning technologies can be shown as the basis for the development of advanced training programs and additional professional education. The authors proposed a study on the need and sufficiency of the use of distance education technologies and the possibilities for their integration into the process of postgraduate education. The practical significance of the work is determined by the fact that the possibilities of self-development of teachers are fully disclosed, not only as subjects of the educational process but also as subjects of training.

Palavras-chave: Videoaula, Primeira pessoa, Screencast.2 Video Lessons in First Person: their Characteristics and their Contribution to Distance Education AbstractSince the beginning of the use of video tools for distance education, many models for the interaction between student and teacher have emerged. Among those, it is found the screencast model for teaching computer features and other content. By using the subjective camera view and first-person focus, like in the movies and video games, the student is provided with the immersion and agency effects, and is brought closer to the teacher whose actions can be observed and reproduced. As a practical tool for distance education mediated by technology first-person video lessons can help students in the learning process, the teachers work and the management of institutions. Keywords: Video Lessons, First person, Screencast.

Knowledge has become the most valuable resource of the new era and the resource of the future. The intention of this study is to improve knowledge about the problem of migration of educated people from Serbia from the perspective of scholarship holders who, after being abroad, returned to their country. The aim of this research is to show the profile of the scholarship holders of post-academic and post-graduate students, who studied abroad and then returned to Serbia. Their motives for departure and return, as well as their perception of integration into the work environment in Serbia and utilization of their knowledge is presented. Methods: For the purpose of this research a questionnaire was constructed which was distributed online. Collected data were analysed using statistical tools. Results: This research has shown that the primary motive for education abroad is the desire for personal development. It has also been shown that an important factor for the return of students from abroad is their expectation of comparative advantage in the labour market and their belief of getting a desired job. Apart from this, it is shown that the scholarship holders only partially used the acquired knowledge and thus, do not have enough influence in the development of their organizations. Conclusion: The main research contribution is reflected in the improvement of the knowledge about the motivation of scholars to return from developed countries and highlighted problems which scholarship holders have after returning.Implications and research limitation: the results obtained can be generalised to countries that are passing or have recently moved a transition, and are similar in cultural characteristics.  The present contains certain limitations that must be taken into account while interpreting final results. The most significant constraint is the sample size, but the obtained results, especially the motives of the scientific experts for a return to the country, are extremely important and can be considered the starting basis for further research.
