On account of the indeterminacy and subjectivity of decision makers (DMs) in complexity decision-making environments, the evaluation information over alternatives presented by DMs is usually fuzzy and ambiguous. As the generalization of intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IFSs), the Pythagorean fuzzy set (PFS) is more useful in expressing fuzzy and ambiguous information. Meanwhile, in order to consider human hesitance, dual hesitant Pythagorean fuzzy sets (DHPFSs) are presented, which can be more valid for handling real multiple attribute decision-making (MADM) problems. To fuse the information in DHPFSs more effectively, in this article, some dual hesitant Pythagorean fuzzy Heronian mean operators, which can consider the relationships between arguments being fused, are defined and studied. Evidently, the new proposed operators can obtain more exact results than other existing methods. In addition, some important properties of these Heronian mean (HM) operators are discussed. Subsequently, the defined aggregation operators are used in MADM with dual hesitant Pythagorean fuzzy numbers (DHPFNs), and the MADM model is developed. In accordance with the defined operators and the built model, the dual hesitant Pythagorean fuzzy generalized weighted Heronian mean (DHPFGWHM) operator and dual hesitant Pythagorean fuzzy generalized geometric weighted Heronian mean (DHPFGGWHM) operator are applied to deal with the green supplier selection in supply chain management, and the availability and superiority of the proposed operators are analyzed by comparing them with some existing approaches. The method presented in this paper can effectively solve the MADM problems in which the decision-making information is expressed by DHPFNs and the attributes are interactive.

The q-rung orthopair fuzzy sets (q-ROFSs), originated by Yager, are good tools to describe fuzziness in human cognitive processes. The basic elements of q-ROFSs are q-rung orthopair fuzzy numbers (q-ROFNs), which are constructed by membership and nonmembership degrees. As realistic decision-making is very complicated, decision makers (DMs) may be hesitant among several values when determining membership and nonmembership degrees. By incorporating dual hesitant fuzzy sets (DHFSs) into q-ROFSs, we propose a new technique to deal with uncertainty, called q-rung dual hesitant fuzzy sets (q-RDHFSs). Subsequently, we propose a family of q-rung dual hesitant fuzzy Heronian mean operators for q-RDHFSs. Further, the newly developed aggregation operators are utilized in multiple attribute group decision-making (MAGDM). We used the proposed method to solve a most suitable supplier selection problem to demonstrate its effectiveness and usefulness. The merits and advantages of the proposed method are highlighted via comparison with existing MAGDM methods. The main contribution of this paper is that a new method for MAGDM is proposed.

In many countries, green products play a critical role in energy recycling and environment protection. The selection of green products can be regarded as a multiple attribute decision making (MADM) problem. Due to the complexity and uncertainty of the problem, decision makers may give their personal preference values to different attributes of alternatives by intuitionistic unbalanced linguistic term sets. The main purpose of this paper is to put forward a new generalized multiple attribute group decision making (GMAGDM) approach based on the intuitionistic unbalanced linguistic dependent weighted generalized Heronian mean (IULDWGHM) operator and the intuitionistic unbalanced linguistic dependent weighted generalized geometric Heronian mean (IULDWGGHM) operator. The proposed method can not only relieve the influence of unfair assessments, but also consider the interaction effects of attributes. Furthermore, the appropriate parameter values and operators can be selected to meet the different risk preference of decision makers and actual requirements. Finally, a green products selection case is given to illustrate the effectiveness and universality of the developed approach.

2-Dimension uncertain linguistic variables can describe both subjective evaluation result of attributes and reliability of the evaluation results in multiple attribute decision making problems. However, it is difficult to aggregate these evaluation information and give comprehensive results. Heronian mean (HM) has the characteristic of capturing the correlations between aggregated arguments and is extended to solve this problem. The 2-dimension uncertain linguistic weighted HM aggregation( 2DULWHMA) operator is employed in this paper. Firstly, the definition, properties, expectations and the operational laws the 2-dimension uncertain linguistic variables are investigated. Furthermore, the properties of the 2DULWHMA operators, such as commutativity, idempotency and monotonicity, etc. are studied. Some special cases of the generalized parameters in these operators are analyzed. Finally, an example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method.

Pythagorean fuzzy set (PyFS) is an extension of various fuzzy concepts, such as fuzzy set (FS), intuitionistic FS, and it is enhanced mathematical gizmo to pact with uncertain and vague information. In this article, some drawbacks in the Dombi operational rules for Pythagorean fuzzy numbers (PyFNs) are examined and some improved Dombi operational laws for PyFNs are developed. We also find out that the value aggregated using the existing Dombi aggregation operators (DAOs) is not a PyFN. Furthermore, we developed two new aggregations, improved existing aggregation operators (AOs) for aggregating Pythagorean fuzzy information (PyFI) and are applied to multiple-attribute decision making (MADM). To acquire full advantage of power average (PA) operators proposed by Yager, the Pythagorean fuzzy Dombi power average (PyFDPA) operator, the Pythagorean fuzzy Dombi weighted power average (PyFDWPA) operator, Pythagorean fuzzy Dombi power geometric (PyFDPG) operator, Pythagorean fuzzy Dombi weighted geometric (PyFDPWG) operator, improved the existing AOs and their desirable properties are discussed. The foremost qualities of these developed Dombi power aggregation operators is that they purge the cause of discomfited data and are more supple due to general parameter. Additionally, based on these Dombi power AOs, a novel MADM approach is instituted. Finally, a numerical example is given to show the realism and efficacy of the proposed approach and judgment with the existing approaches is also specified.

The Hamy mean (HM) operator, as a useful aggregation tool, can capture the correlation between multiple integration parameters, and the 2-tuple linguistic Pythagorean fuzzy numbers (2TLPFNs) are a special kind of Pythagorean fuzzy numbers (PFNs), which can easily describe the fuzziness in actual decision making by 2-tuple linguistic terms (2TLTs). In this paper, to consider both Hamy mean (HM) operator and 2TLPFNs, we combine the HM operator, weighted HM (WHM) operator, dual HM (DHM) operator, and dual WHM (DWHM) operator with 2TLPFNs to propose the 2-tuple linguistic Pythagorean fuzzy HM (2TLPFHM) operator, 2-tuple linguistic Pythagorean fuzzy WHM (2TLPFWHM) operator, 2-tuple linguistic Pythagorean fuzzy DHM (2TLPFDHM) operator and 2-tuple linguistic Pythagorean fuzzy DWHM (2TLPFDWHM) operator. Then some multiple attribute decision making (MADM) procedures are developed based on these operators. At last, an applicable example for green supplier selection is given.

Selection of a most appropriate material is a very important task in design process of every product. There is a need for simple, systematic, and logical methods or mathematical tools to guide decision makers in considering a number of selection attributes and their interrelations and in making right decisions. This paper proposes a novel multiple attribute decision making (MADM) method for solving the material selection problem. The method considers the objective weights of importance of the attributes as well as the subjective preferences of the decision maker to decide the integrated weights of importance of the attributes. Furthermore, the method uses fuzzy logic to convert the qualitative attributes into the quantitative attributes. Two examples are presented to illustrate the potential of the proposed method.
