The present work gathers an educational experience based on the application of the personalized Kumon Mathematics Method, carried out in the school year 2015–2016, in which 30,849 students and 230 teachers from several educational centers throughout Spain have participated. We start with a theoretical foundation of the Kumon Method and continue with a description of the research methodology used. The empirical analysis carried out has been both in descriptive and correlational terms, using Spearman’s Rho statistic, between the levels at which the students of the sample have started and the Kumon level reached. The results show that the sooner students begin to learn Mathematics with the Kumon Method, the greater the chance of reaching a level of knowledge above their school level, which helps us to demonstrate the potential of this method in the teaching and learning process of Mathematics in the educational levels of Early Childhood and Primary Education.

Probiotic foods are those foods covering the live microorganisms that assist the functioning of the digestive system. Consumption of such foods contributes to the protection of our health and strengthening of the immune system. This research was conducted to determine the consumption status of probiotic products and the level of knowledge consumers have about probiotic products. It was found in this survey that 51.7% of the participants were females, and 48.1% were males, and ages ranged between 18 and 65. It was also found that while 31.4% of males were informed about probiotic products, 61.1% of females were informed. As regards the educational statuses, it was seen that level of knowledge about probiotic products significantly increased with increasing educational level from primary school level to higher levels. Likewise, level of knowledge about probiotic products increases with the increasing economic income. While the rate of individuals consuming probiotic products is 26.0%, the ratio of individuals believing that they benefit from such consumption among those consuming them was found as 79.1%. Furthermore, 77.3% of those consuming probiotic products think that these products are natural. As a result, probiotic products make positive contributions to our health, but their consumption and level of knowledge about them are not at sufficient levels. Probiotic product consumption and level of knowledge increase with the educational levels and economic well-being of individuals. Therefore, it is recommended that studies aiming at measuring the knowledge of the public similar to this study must be carried out periodically.

The aim of this article is to broadly elaborate on how programming can be understood as a new teaching scope in preschools, focusing specifically on debugging as one of the phases involved in learning to program. The research question How can debugging as part of teaching and learning programming be understood as multimodal learning? has guided the analysis and the presentation of the data. In this study, and its analysis process, we have combined a multimodal understanding of teaching and learning practices with understandings of programming and how it is practiced. Consequently, the multidisciplinary approach in this study, combining theories from social sciences with theories and concepts from computer science, is central throughout the article. This is therefore also a creative, explorative process as there are no clear norms to follow when conducting multidisciplinary analyses. The data consist of video recordings of teaching sessions with children and a teacher engaged in programming activities. The video material was recorded in a preschool setting during the school year 2017–2018 and consists of 25 sessions of programming activities with children, who were four or five years old. The results show how debugging in early childhood education is a multimodal activity socially established by use of speech, pointing and gaze. Our findings also indicate that artefacts are central to learning debugging, and a term ‘instructional artefacts’ is therefore added. Finally, the material shows how basic programming concepts and principles can be explored with young children.

I am interested in understanding how Ontario elementary teachers use their capacities to inform learning community implementation. To answer this question I conducted two sets of interviews and recorded my daily observations of 15 elementary school teachers and 4 administrators in research journals and field logs. My dissertation work was completed over a 4 month period during the 2006-2007 Academic School Year as a participant-observer in two different school districts (one Catholic and one Public School Board) in Ontario, Canada. The learning community model is purported to produce effective professional development that improves teaching and learning within schools (DuFour, 2004; DuFour & Eaker, 1998; Fullan, 1995; Louis, Kruse, & Marks, 1996; Scribner et al., 1999; Skytt, 2003). By examining how teachers’ capacities guided and sustained the process in two elementary schools in two school districts I anticipated determining some key characteristics that ultimately may provide a framework for learning community professional development implementation at the local school level.

The scientific article actualizes the pedagogical process at preschool. It actuates school year 2017/2018 pedagogical process for Latvia state’s needs and involves education (teaching and learning) and upbringing/self-upbringing (attitudes’ development to oneself, others, nature, work, culture, state and society). The assessment is provided for the open to debate Project No 8.3.1.1/16/I/002 “School 2030 Competence approach to education content” as the scientifically non-substantiated content, which makes provision only for education. The scientific substantiation of the article is based on the child development in early childhood (0-8 years) actual theories by A. Spona, A. Liduma, Latvian scientists, G. Craig & Baucum, the USA psychologists, and A. Rean, Russian psychologist. Analysis of the Content of Preschool education of the year 2012 by Latvian Ministry of Education and Science and the Cabinet of Ministers. The empirical research analyses different visions on the 6-year-olds’ maturity/readiness for school by the deputy head-masters in education at preschool education establishments of Latvia's regions. The opinions for and against the 6-year-olds’ education at school by children parents and the preschool pedagogy students have been analysed.

he purpose of this study was to increase the activities and results of Indonesian language learning in the exposition text material of class X IS 3 SMAN 4 Banda Aceh. The learning model used in this study is the CTL learning model. The subjects of this study were students of class X IS 3 SMAN 4 Banda Aceh. The number of students is 35 students with 16 male students and 19 female students. This research was conducted in the 2019/2020 school year for a period of 3 months, from August 2019 to October 2019 in the odd semester. The research methodology is Classroom Action Research (PTK) consisting of two cy-cles and each cycle consisting of two meetings. Each cycle consists of planning, implementing, observ-ing and reflecting. The data collection technique is to collect test scores that are carried out at the end of each lesson in each cycle using a question instrument (written test). Observation data was carried out by looking at the activeness of students in the learning process. Data were analyzed by means of percentage statistics. The results showed that there was an increase in student learning activities in both cycles, from good enough to good categories and to very good categories. Completeness of student learning outcomes has increased from 48.57% in the pre cycle increased to 68.57% in cycle I and increased to 88.57% in cycle II. The use of the CTL learning model can increase the activities and results of Indone-sian language learning in the exposition text material of class X IS 3 SMAN 4 Banda Aceh Academic Year 2019/2020

Expressiveness of the church modes is reflected in their character and association of certain states with a specific mode or single Gregorian composition which possesses unique expressiveness. An important characteristic of Gregorian chant on the tonality level is diatonic singing based on scales without chromatics, using only one semitone in the tetrachord whose musical structure reflects the expressiveness of Gregorian chant. Such expressiveness achieves character specificities which each mode respectively reflects. Various modal material in the form of typical melodic shifts in a certain composition conditions the expressiveness of Gregorian music and influences the listening impression and assessment of individual Gregorian tunes. The goal of this work is to examine primary education students' experiences of the expressiveness of Gregorian modes and explore if today's auditory sense accustomed to two tonality genres, major and minor, recognises what has been stored in the heritage of Gregorian chant repertoire for centuries. The research was conducted in the school year 2018/2019 with students of first, second, third and fourth grade of primary school (N=100). The results have shown that first and second grade students express higher auditory sensibility in recognizing specific characteristic of authentic Gregorian modes. Third and fourth grade students are audibly less open and perceptive considering tonal character differences in the authentic Gregorian modes. Curriculum administration is the whole process of planned and intentional and deliberate activities as well as ongoing guidance to the teaching and learning situation in order to help the achievement of educational goals effectively and efficiently.In this connection, at any school level the principal task of the school is to ensure that there are good teaching programs for students. Because basically the management or management of education focuses on all its efforts on teaching and learning practices (PBM). This seems clear that in essence all efforts and activities carried out in schools or educational institutions are always directed at the success of PBM.
