Hydraulic support is an important equipment of coal mine production. Its design and manufacture level affects the safe production and economic benefits of coal mine directly. This paper took ZT6500/19.5/34 hydraulic support as an example. First, three dimensions solid models of the type simplified hydraulic support prototype and its 1:5 model were constructed by three dimensions construction model software SolidWorks. Then, three dimensions solid models were led in ANSYS software. Finally, the strength test of the type hydraulic support prototype and its 1:5 model were proceeded under base torsion working condition by ANSYS software. The relevant total displacement distribution rule and equivalent stress distribution rule of the type simplified hydraulic support prototype and its 1:5 model were found. The proportion relation of total displacement and equivalent stress between the type simplified hydraulic support prototype and its 1:5 model were confirmed. This provides an effective way of design and research hydraulic support.

For fatigue assessment of a welded structure, an important characteristic is the failure location. The fatigue crack begins from the pre-existing crack-like flaw which is an inherent feature of a weld toe or root. Residual stress in the welded joints is another important characteristic. It is also well known that tensile residual stress in welded structures can be as high as the material yield strength level and so the fatigue strength of the welded joint is governed by the applied stress range regardless of the applied load ratio. However, when the presumed conditions with high tensile residual stress in the weld regime are not satisfied, the fatigue behavior in welded structure deviates from the general weld fatigue behavior. In this paper, firstly the applied load ratio effect on fatigue behavior is investigated for two different residual stress levels of welds, i.e., as-welded and stress relieved. It has been observed that stress-relieving effect of welds is apparent when the applied loading introduces stress fluctuations in compressive loading. When the load ratio effect is considered in Battelle structural stress based fatigue parameter, the stress relieved weld fatigue data was consolidated within the master S-N curve. Based on this investigation, the Battelle structural stress based effective load ratio considering both applied loading and detailed residual stress is introduced for the weld fatigue behavior. The two-stage crack growth model is reformulated with the structural stress based effective load ratio, which is a function of crack length. Lastly, a fatigue life prediction procedure incorporating residual stress effect is proposed and validated using the existing fatigue test results. The proposed procedure clearly shows that the compressive residual stress distributions at the weld prone to crack provide great benefits for fatigue life improvement.

Abstract In recent years, the coal mine intelligent development process has constantly advanced, putting forward higher requirements for monitoring mining equipment data. Sensor technology suitable for the special underground environment has also been developing. Hydraulic support is a key piece of equipment in fully mechanized coal mining. Monitoring the hydraulic support position and attitude has been an important part of coal mine intelligent development. In the present paper, a new oil cylinder displacement sensor was proposed. The oil cylinder translational motion was transformed into the magnet rotary motion via the motion conversion mechanism. The magnet angle was calculated by utilizing the single-chip microcomputer, and the oil cylinder expansion and contraction were calculated via the filtering algorithm. Results showed that the sensor accuracy could reach 0.5 mm. Extremely low-cycle fatigue and fracture is one of the most critical damage types of the welded beam-to-column connections when the steel frame subjected to the strong earthquake excitation. The investigation on extremely low cycle fatigue behavior of welded structural details is useful for the fatigue design of welded structure. In the present study, extremely low cycle material fatigue tests were carried out to examine the fatigue failure mechanism of two types of welded structural details, which were the plate butt weld (PB) specimen and cruciform load-carrying groove weld (CLG) specimen. Fatigue tests were performed on 12 welded specimens under strain-controlled constant loading in the plastic range. The fitting S-N curves of the two types were presented. The fatigue S-N curves of the similar welded structural details in IIW Fatigue Recommendation was adopted to correlate the fatigue resistance of the two types of welded structural details. The results demonstrated that the failure mode of PB specimens was not the same as that of CLG specimens. The extremely low-cycle material fatigue strength of the investigated welded structural details was lower than expected high cycle fatigue S-N curves provided by IIW, showing shorter fatigue lives, which indicated that the cumulative damage of welded details involved ductile damage besides cyclic fatigue damage in extremely low-cycle fatigue situation.

Abstract Hydraulic support is the main equipment used for surrounding rock control at fully mechanized mining face. Data such as load and posture of hydraulic support are important basis for predicting roof disasters. This paper summarized and analyzed the status of coal mine safety accidents and the main influencing factors of roof disasters, and proposed the monitoring information characteristic parameters of roof disasters based on support posture-load changes. According to the monitoring load data of the Yanghuopan coal mine, the data feature decomposition method was used to effectively extract the trend item and cycle period item of the load, and the period weighting characteristics of the longwall face was obtained. Some various algorithms were used to model and analyze the monitoring data, which can better realize the single point prediction and the prediction of one support cycle. The accuracy of different algorithms was evaluated. Different data models had better single point prediction effects on the support load. SARIMA model was better than ARIMA model for load prediction in one support cycle, but the prediction effect of these two algorithms in one fracture cycle was poor. Therefore, we proposed a hydraulic support load prediction method based on multiple data cutting and hydraulic support load template library, and constructed the technical framework of roof disaster intelligent prediction platform based on this method, which can perform the prediction and early warning of roof disaster according to the load and posture monitoring information of hydraulic support.

In this paper, it will take in-depth research, site practical methods, and provide reasonable solutions to several key problems, such as conveyor and hydraulic support sliding；shearers badly sloped；the roof management of return airway when the working face lengthened；dealing with the upper corner gas；gangue fleeing；turn mining，which seriously affect production during high inclination-angle fully mechanized mining at 3# coal seam of the second mining section of ChengShan coal mine.
