Lightweight aggregate concretes (LWAC) are versatile and interesting materials for projects that require greater structural efficiency. Due to the difference that exists between the densities of the materials used in these types of concrete, during transport and mainly compaction, their aggregates tend to separate from the mortar matrix, floating towards the surface, a phenomenon called segregation. Segregation in LWAC can affect its durability properties, its density, and directly affect its structural efficiency. In this work, different concrete densities (1700 kg/m3 and 1900 kg/m3) manufactured with different dosages (two different lightweight aggregates) and compaction methods (one or two layers) were analyzed to verify the impact of segregation on its structural efficiency. For this purpose, the segregation index of the LWAC was obtained by means of the image analysis technique. In addition, to obtain their structural efficiency, the density and compressive strength were obtained at different heights of the tested specimens. The results show the vibration of the samples in two layers leads to a more efficient elimination of trapped air, a reduction in the risk of segregation, and better structural efficiency.

Bandung is one of the main destinations as shopping malls tourism, such as Cihampelas Walk and Paris Van Java Mall. Cihampelas walk and Paris Van Java are not only providing places for family to do shopping, playing and culinary area. The presence of Cihampelas Walk and Paris Van Java Mall is expected to increase interest in visitors to visit the shopping malls in Bandung. But the lack of visitor’s interest to visit shopping malls in Bandung reflects a problem in shopping malls in Bandung so it needs some programs to increase visitor’s interest to visit by maximize the shopping destination strategy. This research objectives are to find out about the implemented shopping destination strategy, decision to visit, and the impact of shopping destination strategy to decision to visit and the difference of the implementation of shopping destination strategy to decision to visit in Cihampelas Walk and Paris Van Java Mall. The theory of shopping destination strategy is from Kotler and Armstrong. The research object is the visitors of Cihampelas Walk and Paris Van Java Mall. This research is using descriptive, comparative and verification research. The method is explanatory survey with stratified random sampling as sampling technique, 400 respondents (160 respondents in Cihampelas Walk and 240 respondents in Paris Van Java Mall). The data analysis technique is path analysis with SPSS 18 as the computer software. The data collection techniques are interviews, and questionnaire distribution. The finding of this research is there an impact of shopping destination strategy which consists of location, shopping venue design display layout on decision to visit. The dimension of shopping destination strategy which has the highest influence is shopping venue design and the one with the lowest influence is display layout. While the most appealing factor of decision to visit is the brand. Suggestion to these companies is to maximize its shopping destination strategy in order to increase the interest to visit shopping malls in Bandung.

ABSTRACT Objectives: to describe the feelings and perceptions resulting from gynecologic surgery by women and analyze how they experience the changes caused by the surgery. Method: a qualitative, descriptive and exploratory study, which had Symbolic Interactionism and Grounded Theory as its theoretical framework. Participants of the study: 13 women submitted to surgery: Total Abdominal Hysterectomy, Total Abdominal Hysterectomy with bilateral Adnexectomy, Wertheim-Meigs surgery, Oophorectomy, Salpingectomy, Mastectomy, Quadrantectomy and Tracheloplasty. Individual interviews were conducted, recorded and analyzed according to the comparative analysis technique of the Grounded Theory. Results: from the data two categories emerged - Perceiving a different body and feeling as a different person and; building the meaning of mutilation. The changes experienced make women build new meanings and change the perception of themselves and their social environment. From the interaction with their inner self, occurred a reflection on relationships, the difference in their body and themselves, the functions it performs and the harm caused by the surgery. Conclusions: the participants felt like different women; the mutilation developed in concrete feelings, due the loss of the organ, and in abstract, linked to the impact of social identity and female functionality. The importance of the nurse establishing a multidimensional care, to identify the needs that go beyond the biological body is perceived.

The study examined the impact of Government Initiatives of reducing poverty amongst women in Anambra state based on a case study of Professor Dora Akunyili Women Development centre. The paper focused on the activities of the centre in championing poverty reduction among women. A wellstructured questionnaire was used to elicit information from randomly selected 112 trainees for the study. Descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage and mean were used. Percentage difference was equally used to ascertain the difference in poverty status of women before and after the training. The study showed that the trainees had mean income of N50,405.56 and N151,338.89 before and after the training; mean savings before and after the training was N35,741.11 and N48,150.00; mean expenditure on household food was N21,266.67 and N38,111.11 before and after the training; mean expenditure on household health before and after the training was ₦26,000.00 and ₦28,927.78, while mean expenditure on household assets acquisition before and after the training was ₦27,811.11 and ₦55,075.00 respectively. The major challenges faced by the trainees were administrative bottlenecks and bureaucracy in the release of capital funds, late arrival of materials used for the training, among others.

Badung Regency is one of the areas that has very developed tourism potential with Hotel and Restaurant Tax (PHR) revenues. Since the Covid-19 pandemic, the tourism sector in Badung Regency stopped operating, so that the regional government issued a policy such as rationalizing the target of PHR revenues. In addition, the realization of PHR revenues in 2020 has decreased when compared to the realization of PHR revenues in the previous period. This study discusses PHR revenues before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study was to determine an impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on PHR revenues in Badung Regency. The data analysis technique in this research is quantitative with the type of comparative analysis. In testing hypotheses, the program used is SPSS version 23. Hypothesis testing of PHR revenues was tested using the Paired Sample t-Test method. The results of testing the Hotel and Restaurant Tax revenue hypothesis show that there is a difference between Hotel and Restaurant Tax revenue before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. The difference between Hotel and Restaurant Tax revenues before and during the Covid-19 pandemic shows that the Covid-19 pandemic has an impact on Hotel Tax revenue in Badung Regency

Biaxial shearing tests on dual-sized, 2d particle assemblies are conducted at several confining pressures. The effect of particle angularity, an important mesoscale shape descriptor, is investigated at the macro and micro levels. Macroscopically, it is observed that assemblies composed of angular particles exhibit higher strengths and dilations. The difference observed in bulk behavior due to particle angularity can be explained reasonably by considering particle-level mechanisms. A novel 2D image analysis technique is employed to estimate particle kinematics. Particle rotation results to be a key mechanism strongly influenced by particle shape determining the overall granular behavior. Unlike circular particles, angular ones are more resistant to rotations due to stronger interlocking and consequently exhibit higher strengths.

<p>The study was conducted in Kairatu District, Seram Bagian Barat Regency district from July to September 2008. Materials used in this study were 96 respondents of local and transmigrant cattle beef farmers with questionnaires. The samples were drawn from 4 villages, consisting of 2 villages of local peoples and 2 villages of transmigrants using purposive sampling technique, while the 97 respondents consisted of 49 local and 47 transmigrant beef cattle farmers who were drawn using convenience sampling technique. The objectives of the study: 1) to find out the difference in the motivation and the characteristics of the local and the transmigrant farmers, 2) to investigate the impact of characteristics of the local and the transmigrant farmers on their motivation, 3) to investigate the impact of the characteristics of the local and the transmigrant farmers on their income, and 4) to investigate the correlation between breeding motivation and income. The variables measured in this study were breeding motivation, farmers<br />characteristics and income. The data were collected and analyzed using software SPSS 17 to measure the breeding motivation level, the farmers’ characteristics and income.
