In order to more realistically reflect the penetrating and crushing process of a PELE (Penetration with Enhanced Lateral Efficiency) projectile, the stochastic failure algorithm and crack-softening algorithm were added to the corresponding material in this paper. According to the theoretical analysis of the two algorithms, the material failure parameters (stochastic constant γ, fracture energy Gf, and tensile strength σT) were determined. Then, four sets of simulation conditions ((a) no crack softening, (b) no stochastic failure, (c) no crack softening and no stochastic failure, and (d) crack softening and stochastic failure) were designed to qualitatively describe the influences of the failure algorithms, which were simulated by the finite element analysis software AUTODYN. The qualitative comparison results indicate that the simulation results after adding the two algorithms were closer to the actual situation. Finally, ten groups of simulation conditions were designed to quantitatively analyze the coincidence degree between the simulation results and the experimental results by means of two parameters: the residual velocity of the projectile and the maximum radial velocity of fragments. The results show that the simulation results coincide well with the experimental results and the errors were small. Therefore, the ideas proposed in this paper are scientific, and the conclusions obtained can provide guidance for engineering research.

Under launch impact load, LIGA nickel that manufacturing MEMS fuze safety and arming (S&A) device will have obvious strain rate effect. By using finite element analysis software ANSYS/LS-DYNA, simulation models of a small-caliber ammunition MEMS fuze setback S&A device with strain rate effect and without strain rate effect were respectively established. The results of the two simulation modules were quite different. Comparisons between experimental results and simulation results show that simulation results considering strain rate effect agree well with experimental results, which proves strain rate effect should not be ignored in the simulation of MEMS S&A device.

This paper mainly uses ANSYS, the finite element analysis software, to make nonlinear analysis of reinforced concrete beam. The model simulating the test process was established, the calculation results of ANSYS are compared with the experimental results. The comparison shows that ANSYS analysis results are similar to experimental results, which indicates ANSYS analysis software can be used to simulate the mechanical property of reinforced concrete structures.

In this paper, The finite element analysis software is applied to compute the flow field in the fixed orifice with different structural parameter combinations, the pressure distribution curve, the velocity distribution curve, flow rate characteristic, power loss are obtained. By analyzing simulation results, the influence of the orifice parameters on the performance of the orifice is clear. The research is important for the design and optimization of the fixed throttle orifice of the nozzle-flapper valve.

In this paper, the modal analysis was carried out on the core and cavity of a 160KVA dry-type transformer based on the finite element analysis software of ANSYS. And the simulation results of the natural frequencies and modal shapes were obtained, which provided a theoretical guidance to the design of the transformer structure, and were meaningful to reduce the vibration and noise level of the transformer.

This paper took flat butt joint based on Cr13 as a sample, in which TIG and MAG were adopted respectively, and analyzed qualitatively the simulation results of temperature field, stress field and deformation distribution by the finite element analysis software ANSYS. The simulating results indicate that residual transverse press stress plays a dominant role near the beginning and the end of the welding seam, that residual longitudinal pull stress is dominant in the other region of welding seam. The residual stress of MAG is higher than that of TIG. Nevertheless, the deformation of MAG is lower than that of TIG.

This paper mainly uses ANSYS V.15 , the finite element analysis software, to make nonlinear analysis of reactive powder concrete  deep beams . The models simulating the test process were established, the calculation results of ANSYS are compared with the experimental results. Data of eight RPC deep beams tested by researchers were used for comparison with ANSYS models .Furthermore three parametric studies were carried out by changing the size of opening , location of openings and CFRP systems configuration . The comparison shows that ANSYS analysis results are similar to experimental results (the  maximum difference in the ultimate load  was less than 7.5 %), which indicates ANSYS analysis software can be used to simulate the mechanical property of reactive powder concrete structures.

The simulation model of MEMS energy changer is established by using the finite element analysis software ANSYS. The electrothermal performance of MEMS energy changer under the action of different currents was simulated and analyzed. The bridge area is made of NiCr, and the shape of the bridge area is two different chamfering rectangles. The temperature distribution diagram of MEMS energy changers, the temperature change curve and the phase transition distribution diagram of the bridge region were obtained when the four current values acted on each other. The simulation results are analyzed and discussed.

The back-up roll with roll-sleeve was studied and simulated using the finite element analysis software Abaqus in this paper. The stress-strain field of back-up roll with different roll-sleeve thickness and different magnitude of interference were compared because these two parameters are of importance for us to guide the application of roll with sleeve.

In this paper, an exclusive testing rig was built to experimentally investigate the friction and slip at elevator traction interface under different traction conditions. The experimental results indicated that slipping occurs at both ends of contact arc first and then expands to the middle region gradually until the full slip along the sheave occurs. In addition, the full slip occurs earlier under lower rope pretension. Meanwhile, by setting similar boundary and loading conditions as in the experiments, the finite element analysis was performed. The simulation results agree with the experiments very well but reveal more details about traction behavior.
