The chapter presents the current state of research concerning the development of the BE + past participle constructions from Latin to Spanish. Starting from the description in Rosemeyer (2014) and the theoretical background collated in Kailuweit and Rosemeyer (2015), it will be shown that the functional change does not follow traditional grammaticalization paths. Several concepts that deal with cases contradicting traditional grammaticalization theory will be discussed. ‘Exaption’ (Lass 1990, 1997), focusing on total defunctionalization does not account for the fact that the resultative value of the BE + past participle construction, marginal in Latin, becomes central in Mediaeval Spanish. ‘Refunctionalization’ Smith (2008, 2011) captures this aspect in a more appropriate way. However, the development of the construction could be also conceived as the opposite of what Pountain (2000) describes as ‘capitalization’: a process of ‘decapitalization,’ by which a feature is exploited, not for wider, but for more restricted purposes.

BACKGROUND Globally, hip and knee osteoarthritis (OA) are ranked as the eleventh most common cause of disability among adults. Growing evidence suggests that the use of mHealth technology in OA management is effective and reduces the burdens in primary and secondary care. However, a comprehensive state-of-the-art review on the use of mHealth technology in managing OA is lacking. OBJECTIVE This review aimed to assess the current state of research on the use of mHealth technology for self-management/education of adults with OA, identify key research activities, and provide future directions on the development/application of mHealth technology. METHODS The Arksey and O’Malley methodological framework was employed, augmented with a scientometric analysis using VOS viewer. Six databases were searched from inception to 31st March 2021. The PRISMA extension for scoping review was used to report the findings. RESULTS Our review only identified 19 mHealth programs being used to promote self-management of OA. The current evidence suggested that compared to no or other interventions, mHealth technology was feasible and might be more effective in reducing pain, or promoting physical function and quality of life in individuals with OA. However, not all mHealth programs were developed by healthcare professionals. The scientometric analysis revealed various co-occurring keywords that reflected conceptual properties of this research domain. Although some intellectual connections among groups of authors, research articles, and journals were also noted, only a few researchers and journals were the most impactful contributors in this research domain. CONCLUSIONS The use of mHealth technology in OA management is potentially promising, however, there is a great need to investigate the benefits and cost-effectiveness of this approach. More collaborations among organizations are warranted to bolster activity in this area. Future mHealth programs should be developed based on a strong theoretical background to support the uptake of their programs. CLINICALTRIAL Nil

The article investigates the role of business model innovation by Industry 4.0 solution providers and their impact on process innovation of their customers. Industry 4.0 solution providers are hereby seen as the enablers and providers of Industry 4.0 technologies, which provide access to several potentials of Industry 4.0 technologies to their customers. In particular, the role of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that provide solutions that are based on Industry 4.0 technologies for their customers are investigated, which in turn can improve and innovate their own processes. Frist, the article presents an overview of the current state of research and a brief theoretical background. Second, the article bases its findings on an empirical study of 111 Industry 4.0 providers from Germany that are SMEs. Analyzing the results of questionnaires, correlations between Industry 4.0 solutions and two perspectives are examined: benefits for the solution providers and benefits for process improvements and innovations of the customers. Subsequently, the article discusses these findings, closing the article with both managerial and research implications.

Abstract Agnieszka Schönhof-Wilkans. On the Question of Transitive and Intransitive Verbs in Swahili. Lingua Posnaniensis, vol. L IV (1)/2012. The Poznań Society for the Advancement of the Arts and Sciences. PL ISSN 0079-4740, ISBN 978-83-7654-103-7, pp. 89-97. Swahili does not always make a clear distinction between transitive and intransitive verbs. The question seems to be complicated by the elaborate voice system of this agglutinative language. Subcategories of the Swahili verb such as stative, reciprocal, reflexive, causative, applicative and passive are marked by appropriate affixes. Swahili also applies infixes to signify objects within transitive verbs. Although modern Swahili dictionaries include information about verbal transitivity (TUK I 2001, 2004), it is far from complete. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the problem of transitive and intransitive verbs in Swahili taking into consideration some of the verbal categories, with particular emphasis on the relation of the category of voice to the category of transitivity. The current state of research on the category of transitivity in Swahili will be briefly presented. The material for the analysis has been obtained from various sources, such as Swahili grammars and dictionaries, Tanzanian newspapers and websites, as well as the author’s own field notes.

Controversies and challenges are also mentioned. Purpose: This paper is a thematic literature review to examine the current state of research about Culturally Responsive Pedagogy in mathematics. The main themes are students’ perception, teacher education for pre-service teacher and professional development for teachers. Research methods/ approach: Literature was collected from Eric, which is a research engine of the education field. Also, Google Scholar is used to find articles of major scholars introduced by Dr. Rich Milner, who is the instructor of this course. Findings: Students faced microaggressions in mathematics class, which discouraged them to learn mathematics. The effect of teacher education was inconsistent in terms of the awareness of culturally responsive pedagogy and lesson plans. Research of professional development mentioned that mathematics was cultural. Implications for research and practice: It is more interesting to conduct long term or follow-up research to find the teacher’s practice after a taking professional development program. Also, it is critical to expand research scope besides African American and Latino students. Finally, evidence-based research is needed to change the political situation.
