This paper presents a control method for phase-shift full-bridge center-tapped (PSFB-CT) converters using hybrid fuzzy sliding mode controllers (SMCs). Conventionally, the output voltage of a PSFB-CT converter is controlled by using a proportional-integral (PI) controller. However, the dynamic characteristic of the converter is undesirable, and the converter is not robust to disturbances. In order to overcome these disadvantages, the SMC based on PI control has been applied for the PSFB-CT converter. However, there is a chattering problem when the SMC gain is increased to improve the dynamic characteristic. In this paper, a control method for the PSFB-CT converter using fuzzy logic control is proposed. By varying the gain of the SMC through the fuzzy logic control, not only can the dynamic characteristic of the PSFB-CT converter be improved, but the chattering problem can also be relieved. The effectiveness of the proposed control method for the PSFB-CT converter was verified by the simulation and experimental results.

A sliding mode fuzzy control method which combines sliding mode and fuzzy logic control for DC-DC boost converter is designed to achieve robustness and better performance. A fuzzy sliding mode controller in which sliding surface whose reference is obtained from the output of the outer voltage loop is used to control the inductor current. A linear PI controller is used for the outer voltage loop. The control system is simulated using Matlab/Simulink. The simulation results are presented for input voltage and load variations. Simulated results are given to show the effectiveness of the control system.

In order to reduce the enlargement of coal floor deformation and the manual adjustment frequency of rocker arms, an improved approach through integration of improved genetic algorithm and fuzzy logic control (GFLC) method is proposed. The enlargement of coal floor deformation is analyzed and a model is built. Then, the framework of proposed approach is built. Moreover, the constituents of GA such as tangent function roulette wheel selection (Tan-RWS) selection, uniform crossover, and nonuniform mutation are employed to enhance the performance of GFLC. Finally, two simulation examples and an industrial application example are carried out and the results indicate that the proposed method is feasible and efficient.
