Difficulties in learning computer programming for novices is a subject of abundant scientific literature. These difficulties seem to be accentuated in students whose academic choice is not computation, like architecture students. However, they need to study programming, since it is part of the new academic curricula. The results presented here are part of a PhD research, which investigates the achievement motivation and the acquisition and transfer of programming knowledge from an online environment designed on the basis of the 4C-ID instructional design model. These results are a sociodemographic analysis, and the technological competence of these subjects. We concluded that most of the students of our sample do not know how to auto assess their ICT expertise level, because they believed that they had sufficient computational knowledge for their needs. However, most of them told that they had difficulties creating codes. However, they recognized the importance of learning to program, thought it was valuable for architectural students, and felt motivated to acquire this new skill.

The acquisition of knowledge in computer programming has been a new skill required by the most diverse academic backgrounds. It is no different for students and professionals using CAD (computer-aided design) software. There are several programming paradigms, and the use of textual programming languages like Python had been the most appropriate and has shown good results. This chapter presents the results of a study intended to understand the difficulties of learning computer programming in Python language, aimed at architects, and how the instructional design 4C/ID model can be used to overcome some of these difficulties; it also analyses the effects of this learning environment on the acquisition and transfer of programming knowledge.

The activity of scientists promotes medical research in health services. However, on many occasions, these professionals do not know how to transfer their research results to the market. Therefore, it is worth providing data on aspects such as training in entrepreneurship and scientific mobility to foster knowledge transfer. This paper discusses data on the Spanish case in Health Sciences to devise effective policies in these areas. To this end, following the methodology of the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor report and the existing scientific literature, 291 researchers involved in scientific mobility in Spain have been interviewed. Of these, 90 belonged to health areas: Spanish scientists abroad (37), Scientists returned to Spain (16), and Young researchers in Spain (37). The results show that the mobile scientists in this area have more entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial intentions, have acquired more entrepreneurial skills, and have received more training in these subjects. Furthermore, there are few permanent positions for all these groups whose mobility decisions fundamentally depend on job opportunities, so the health authorities can intensify these measures to promote knowledge transfer.

Infertility has repercussions as a problem in different areas. Regarding the sphere of the couple, this is a situation that can affect both spouses and operates in marital satisfaction. Therefore, the objective of the present study was to know how the conjugality is affected by the female infertility from the national and international scientific production. It is an integrative review of the scientific literature indexed in the databases/libraries PUBMED, PsycINFO and LILACS published between 2008 and 2018, in the Portuguese, Spanish and English languages, which recovered 34 publications, which were submitted to critical analysis. It is a predominantly international production, with a quantitative approach. The guiding question that led to the present revision was answered, so that it was found that infertility transforms the conjugal relationship, most often negatively, which has no direct influence of the female factor as cause. In contrast, the search for treatment is shown as an aspect of cohesion between the couple, which strengthens itself in pursuit of a common goal. Therefore, it is necessary to develop actions that aim at improving the marital and sexual quality of life of couples who are undergoing diagnosis and treatment for infertility. At least there are three main issues that underlie the reluctance of students to learn better. (1) learning technique problem that does not grow student's motivation, (2), lecturer's existence is not as a facilitator who teaches students, private auctions that teach or patronize, (3) delivery of instruction messages with less interactive and attractive media. By examining something that is in the field, there appears to be a discrepancy between learning by the method of learning it uses. Joyful Learning Scenario is usually done by lecturers so far only aspects of mastery of student concepts. For that need an assessment technique can reveal aspects of the process, one of them. The purpose of this research are: (1) To Know How to Improve Motivation of Student Achievement Semester II in Tarbiyah High School of Raden Wijaya Mojokerto, (2) To Know How Joyful Learning Scenario at Tarbiyah High School of Raden Wijaya Mojokerto (3) To Knowing How Efforts to Improve Student Achievement Motivation Semester II Through Joyful Learning Learning at Tarbiyah High School of Raden Wijaya Mojokert The subject of this research is the second semester students in the Islamic religious education program of Tarbiyah High School of Raden Wijaya Mojokerto academic year 2016/2017 . There are several things that need authors conclude (1) Group work is very effective done in order to support the activities of the lectures with a fun learning. (2) The provision of resource materials that students need to complete the task is very effective when the lectures are conducted using a fun learning lesson. (3) The balance of time efficiency with each group at the beginning and end of each lecture is essential in ensuring that the report card is really concise and interesting.

Resumen:En este artículo se presenta un análisis de la literatura científica publicada entre los años 2008 y 2013 a nivel nacional e internacional sobre la utilización de los sistemas de redes sociales (Social Network Sites) en educación. El objetivo principal de este trabajo fue conocer cómo se estaba llevando a cabo la investigación sobre este tópico en revistas científicas editadas en inglés y en español para identificar variables como el nivel educativo en el que se desarrolla, los paradigmas epistemológicos empleados o las líneas de investigación más recurrentes. Se realizó un análisis de contenido de un total de 105 artículos difundidos en revistas científicas con revisión por pares (62 del ámbito internacional y 43 del nacional). El trabajo evidencia, entre otras cuestiones, que se trata de un tópico recurrente en la comunidad científica, que se están empleando una gran variedad de enfoques epistemológicos y que son dominantes aquellos estudios en las que se analiza el uso de estas herramientas como medios educativos. Si bien existen algunas diferencias entre los trabajos, las publicaciones nacionales siguen la misma línea identificada a nivel internacional. Abstract:This paper shows an analysis of the national and international scientific literature published on the use of social networking systems in education (Social Network Sites) between 2008 and 2013. The main objective of this work was to know how the research on this topic was being conducted in scientific journals, published in English or Spanish, in order to identify variables such as the educational level at which it is developed, the epistemological paradigms used or the most recurrent research topics. An analysis of the content from a total of 105 articles in scientific journals with peer review, was performed (62 international papers and 43 from the national context). This work evidences that it is a recurring topic in the research community, that a diversity of epistemological approaches are being used to conduct these kind of researches and those which analyzes the use of SNS as educational tools are the dominant ones. While there are some differences between the papers published in international and national journals, papers in our context are in line with those published in the international scientific community.

ABSTRACT The number of virus particles on Earth is frequently reported in the scientific literature and in general-interest publications as being on the order of 1031, with some confusion about whether this is a high or low estimate. This number is often given without a source, although it should be attributed to a paper by Hendrix et al. published in 1999 (R. W. Hendrix, M. C. Smith, R. N. Burns, M. E. Ford, and G. F. Hatfull, Proc Natl Acad Sci U S A 96:2192–2197, 1999, https://doi.org/10.1073/pnas.96.5.2192). As with any oft-repeated statistic, it is informative to know how it has been derived and whether it should be revised in the light of new evidence. I review the history of the 1031 estimate and use more recent assessments of the number of bacterial and viral particles in various habitats to conclude that the best estimate of the number of virus particles on Earth (“the Hendrix product”) remains close to 1031 and is unlikely to be either much less or much more than that.

The well-being of workers and the productivity of companies have been subjects of great interest in the scientific literature and in the daily life of organizations. Organizational justice is one of the factors that contributes to achieving these results. Theories that attempt to explain the effects of a perception of justice at work emphasize the relationship of reciprocity that must exist between the employee and the employer. The perception that the employer acts fairly gives rise to feelings of trust, commitment and loyalty to the employer, which has an impact on better job performance and positive attitudes in the workplace. Each of the procedures carried out in the work environment, such as the selection of personnel, performance evaluation, conflict resolution, distribution of rewards and layoffs, are at high risk of generating perceptions of injustice due to the parties involved, this is why they must be rethought in the light of the dimensions of organizational justice. The objective then is to know how the concept of justice can be applied in the most important procedures at the organizational level.

Background: Physiotherapy, brace applications or surgery are the treatment options utilised to manage patients with scoliosis. Many different brace applications are used, and the success rates of orthoses vary.Objectives: Brace applications can have detrimental impacts on the patient leading to physical discomfort, psychological discomfort, and in some instance the use of braces may even be painful. Therefore, future developments in this field should be aimed at improving the success rate and reducing physical distress experienced by the patient while using brace applications. The purpose of this article is to provide recommendations with respect to the most appropriate bracing approach in general.Method: A narrative review of the scientific literature was carried out to substantiate the statements made in this article.Results: The most important braces provided for the treatment of patients with scoliosis and the treatment results that can be achieved are presented and discussed, taking into account the most recent systematic reviews. A wide range of success rates have been found for the different brace applications.Conclusion: Given that brace application may impact the patient leading to physical discomfort and psychological distress, good quality management in brace application for patients with scoliosis is needed to ensure the best possible outcome and the least stressful management.Clinical implications: Safety in brace application for patients with scoliosis needs improvement. The use of standardised and reliable computer aided design (CAD) libraries and appropriate patient information based on published guidelines is suggested.
