The practice of protecting computers, websites, mobile devices, electronic services, networks, and digital data from malicious attacks is known as cybersecurity. Since political, military, private, financial, and medical institutions collect, process, and maintain massive volumes of data on computers and other devices, cybersecurity is critical. Sensitive data, such as intellectual property, financial data, personal records, or other forms of data, can make up a large amount of the data. Improper access or disclosure to that data can have profound implications. Technology has undoubtedly made a significant change in every aspect of life in Pakistan, whether it is a financial or non-financial sphere. Technology's usage is thoroughly utilized by banks worldwide. They have started adopting it frequently because of the immense need to achieve goals and satisfy customer needs more efficiently. Almost all leading banks have now provided e-commerce facilities. Over time, more and more services and facilities are offered to bank customers conveniently via e-commerce products.

AbstractUse of differential diagnosis (DDX) generators may reduce the incidence of misdiagnosis-related harm, but there is a paucity of research examining the use and impact of such systems in real-world settings.In September 2012, the DDX generator VisualDx was made available across our entire academic healthcare system. We examined the use of VisualDx by month for the 18 months following its introduction. In addition, we compared the number of inpatient dermatology consults requested per month at the flagship hospital of our healthcare system for the 12 months before versus 18 months after VisualDx introduction.Across our entire academic healthcare system, there were a median of 474 (interquartile range 390–544) unique VisualDx sessions per month. VisualDx was accessed most frequently through mobile devices (35%) and the inpatient electronic health record (34%). Prior to VisualDx introduction, there was a non-significant increase in the number of inpatient dermatology consultations requested per month at the flagship hospital of our healthcare system (1.0 per month, 95% CI –2.5–4.6, p=0.54), which remained 1.0 consults per month (95% CI –0.9–2.9, p=0.27) following its introduction (p=0.99 comparing post- versus pre-introduction rates).The DDX generator VisualDx was regularly used, primarily on mobile devices and inpatient workstations, and was not associated with a change in inpatient dermatology consultation requests. Given the interest in DDX generators, it will be important to evaluate further the impact of such tools on the quality and value of care delivered.

The Impact

The impact of an aging population on healthcare and the sustainability of our healthcare system are pressing issues in contemporary society. Technology has the potential to address these challenges, alleviating pressures on the healthcare system and empowering individuals to have greater control over monitoring their own health. Importantly, mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets can allow older adults to have “on the go” access to health-related information. This paper explores mobile health apps that enable older adults and those who care for them to track health-related factors such as body readings and medication adherence, and it serves as a review of the literature on the usability and acceptance of mobile health apps in an older population.

AbstractWearable devices have found numerous applications in healthcare ranging from physiological diseases, such as cardiovascular diseases, hypertension and muscle disorders to neurocognitive disorders, such as Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease and other psychological diseases. Different types of wearables are used for this purpose, for example, skin-based wearables including tattoo-based wearables, textile-based wearables, and biofluidic-based wearables. Recently, wearables have also shown encouraging improvements as a drug delivery system; therefore, enhancing its utility towards personalized healthcare. These wearables contain inherent challenges, which need to be addressed before their commercialization as a fully personalized healthcare system. This paper reviews different types of wearable devices currently being used in the healthcare field. It also highlights their efficacy in monitoring different diseases and applications of healthcare wearable devices (HWDs) for diagnostic and treatment purposes. Additionally, current challenges and limitations of these wearables in the field of healthcare along with their future perspectives are also reviewed.

Mobile or IOT based applications are emerging rapidly across the globe and there is a massive digital transformation happening within each country. It is a need of an hour to improve and protect digital identity during online transactions through handheld devices. This paper proposes a Mobile ID solution based on Mobile-originated PKI without the need for the actual identity card or a card reader. The solution proposed focuses on security, privacy, and usability using open standards which will protect Personally Identifiable Information (PII) over handheld devices. The proposed mobile ID solution has better cost-efficacy and privacy than today’s scenario. It also explicates the Mobile ID solution with established secure identity among users, authorities, other organizations of public, and private sectors.
