In this study, the relation among different meteorological variables and the electrical power from photovoltaic systems located at different selected places in Mexico were presented. The data was collected from on-site real-time measurements from Mexico City and the State of Sonora. The statistical estimation by the gradient descent method demonstrated that solar radiation, outdoor temperature, wind speed, and daylight hour influenced the electric power generation when it was compared with the real power of each photovoltaic system. According to our results, 97.63% of the estimation results matched the real data for Sonora and 99.66% the results matched for Mexico City, achieving overall errors less than 7% and 2%, respectively. The results showed an acceptable performance since a satisfactory estimation error was achieved for the estimation of photovoltaic power with a high determination coefficient R2.

INTRODUCTION. The Brazilian electricity sector and parts of society are experiencing the impacts of COVID-19, which spreads throughout the world, paralyzing all or part of its activities. The reduction in electricity consumption leads to an analysis of the stability of the Brazilian energy matrix that serves different social segments. OBJECTIVE. The objective of this work was to carry out an analysis of the electric power generation sector and its standardization, the perspectives of its post-Covid-19 behaviour and the role of renewable energy sources, in particular the photovoltaic industry. METHOD. An analysis was made of the electric power generation sector and its standardization, the prospects for its post-Covid-19 behaviour and the role of the solar photovoltaic systems. RESULTS. Scenarios evaluated: updating of the regulatory framework for the Brazilian electric sector, the solar energy market photovoltaic, electricity consumption and the solar photovoltaic systems as a complementary source in this climate change scenario. DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSIONS. It is concluded that sustainable transitions on the planet, associated with economic growth, promote human development for a low carbon community.

Discusses the influence of the shape of the geometric surface of a photovoltaic battery (PVB) on its effectiveness. The features of photovoltaic systems based on silicon modules with different geometric shapes are considered. Expressions are given for determining the seasonal electric power generation of the PVB considering its surface geometry located in the parking lot, as well as calculations, are made to determine the optimal angle of inclination of the PVB to the horizontal surface under the conditions of the city of Tashkent.
