A variety of tools are available to collect, process and analyse learning data obtained from the clickstream generated by students watching learning resources in video format. There is also some literature on the uses of such data in order to better understand and improve the teaching-learning process. Most of the literature focuses on large scale learning scenarios, such as MOOCs, where videos are watched hundreds or thousands of times. We have developed a solution to collect clickstream analytics data applicable to smaller scenarios, much more common in primary, secondary and higher education, where videos are watched tens or hundreds of times, and to analyse whether the solution is useful to teachers to improve the learning process. We have deployed it in a real scenario and collected real data. Furthermore, we have processed and presented the data visually to teachers for those scenarios and have collected and analysed their perception of their usefulness. We conclude that the collected data are perceived as useful by teachers to improve the teaching and learning process.

This overview article initially focuses on early connections between dramatic art, teaching, learning, and living, followed by a brief account of how Great Britain took on a pioneering role with regard to the establishment of drama as a school subject, method and educational sub-discipline. It then focuses on how drama pedagogy in foreign language teaching and learning has developed as a specific field of research and practice since the 1970s, acknowledging the important contributions to the field made by scholars and practitioners from outside Great Britain. An overview of current practice in the field is given by presenting different (small-scale and large-scale) forms of staging language, literature and culture. The article concludes by proposing a model for a „Performative Fremdsprachendidaktik“ (Performative Foreign Languages Didactics) and by arguing that in the future “performative” be used as an umbrella term to describe forms of foreign language teaching and learning that derive from the performing arts.

The COVID-19 pandemic has spread worldwide, including Indonesia. The Indonesian government recommends all citizens to stay at home and to work and study from home. Therefore, most universities have implemented e-learning in their teaching and learning process. This research focused on the effect of e-learning on students’ interest and learning at the varsity level. Quantitative research methods were used. The data were collected from 176 students from two private universities in Medan, Sumatera Utara. The findings were that e-learning enabled the students to access the global world and distribute learning materials through WhatsApp. Assignments were marked promptly and e-learning helped students to set their own schedule. E-learning motivated the students to do their own work without others’ help, but the students did not agree that e-learning enhanced the quality of the teaching-learning process. Learning data feedback and analysis have been widely investigated in all aspects of education, especially for large scale remote learning scenario like Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) data analysis. On-site teaching and learning still remains the mainstream form for most teachers and students, and learning data analysis for such small scale scenario is rarely studied. In this work, we first develop a novel user interface to progressively collect students’ feedback after each class of a course with WeChat mini program inspired by the evaluation mechanism of most popular shopping website. Collected data are then visualized to teachers and pre-processed. We also propose a novel artificial neural network model to conduct a progressive study performance prediction. These prediction results are reported to teachers for next-class and further teaching improvement. Experimental results show that the proposed neural network model outperforms other state-of-the-art machine learning methods and reaches a precision value of 74.05% on a 3-class classifying task at the end of the term.

Bina Nusantara University is a university with a rapid development of its e-learning system in the teaching-learning process and Chinese Department is one department using the e-learning system. This research was done to find out the role e-learning in improving the students’ interest in studying Chinese language. Data were collected by interviewing lecturers and distributing questionnaires to 120 students. Then, the data were tabulated and analysed. The result of the research shows that the respondents are familiar with Binusmaya – the e-learning system used – but they seldom use it because they do not think of its benefit. Thus, it can be concluded that Binusmaya does not both support the students of the Chinese Department in the teaching and learning process and in improving the students’ interest.

ABSTRACTThe limitation of supporting media in the teaching and learning process causes the teaching and learning process to be less than optimal. To overcome this, it can be done by using interactive learning media based on Microsoft Power Point. The purpose of this study is to produce interactive PowerPoint learning products Microsoft Power Point to improve student learning outcomes in Thematic learning of the subtheme of the Beauty of the Nature of My Country in grade IV elementary school. The research method used is the published Borg and Gall research: preliminary studies, model development and model trials. The results showed that the interactive learning media developed was declared feasible. Media validation and material validation showed an average score of 82.50% and 79.16%. Student responses to teaching materials scored 81.75% in small-scale trials on large-scale trials receiving scores of 85%. The response teacher got a score of 71.7% and 89.13%. Based on the grades obtained, then the interactive learning media based on Microsoft Power Point is feasible to be applied to grade IV elementary school students.Keywords: Interactive Media, Multimedia, Power Point, Interactive LearningABSTRAKKeterbatasan media pendukung dalam proses belajar mengajar menyebabkan proses belajar mengajar menjadi kurang maksimal. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Microsoft Power Point. Tujuan penelitian ini menghasilkan produk media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Microsoft Power Point untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran Tematik subtema Keindahan Alam Negeriku di kelas IV SD. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian Borg dan Gall yang meliputi: studi pendahuluan, pengembangan model dan uji coba model. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran interaktif yang dikembangkan dinyatakan layak. Validasi media dan validasi materi menunjukan nilai rata-rata skor sebesar 82,50% dan 79,16%. Respon siswa terhadap bahan ajar interaktif memperoleh skor 81,75% pada uji coba skala kecil sedangkan uji coba skala luas memperoleh skor sebesar 85%. Respon guru mendapat skor 71,7% dan 89,13%. Berdasarkan nilai yang diperoleh, maka media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Microsoft Power Point layak diterapkan pada siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar.Kata Kunci: Media Interaktif, Multimedia, Power Point, Pembelajaran Interaktif

The purpose of this research is to build a model of e-learning for higher education in order to improve the effectiveness of teaching and learning activities. The research method is analyzing the process of learning activities in several universities as a basis for creating a dynamic model of comprehensive e-learning so as to meet the needs of students, lecturers and all parties concerned. In analyzing the teaching-learning process observations at several campuses are conducted to study existing processes and activities. The results are a model of e-learning that can be used by universities in building and developing e-learning applications that already exist.

ABSTRACT<br /><br />Dhyana Pura University is a university that has a website as a means to provide<br />information to students and the public, but on the web that is owned by the University Dhyana<br />Pura does not have E-learning facilities. One way to make teaching and learning process more<br />effective and efficient is to design and implement e-learning information system so that the<br />teaching and learning process can not only be done while in the classroom, but not limited by<br />space and time.<br />E-Learning is a type of teaching learning that allows the delivery of teaching materials to<br />students by using the media Internet, Intranet or other computer network media.<br />The results of this study is a web-based information system that contains some facilities<br />such as quiz that allows students to implement quiz online. This research uses Random Matrix<br />method, where the quiz which is done by the student will be randomized. Online learning has been main concern in today’s teaching learning process since the rising use of internet. It offers many variant activities and it becomes new alternative way to communicate among teacher and students. Recently students and teachers are expected to have decent knowledge in digital learning as one way to facilitate their learning process. One form of digital learning is using Edmodo in the class. The e-learning model using edmodo was developed to support teaching and learning process in University of Nusantara PGRI Kediri. This media offers an authentic material that can be accessed anytime and anywhere. This model also gives the external links to get the other resources in the World Wide Web. The external links given is related to a discussion topic or material, and it is to improve the students' knowledge and skill in teaching and learning. Because this media is a e-learning model, the students enjoy when they browse and take a look into the material provided. Some of researchers have done the research on it, yet these studies mostly focus on the teachers’ perception towards its application in their classes. This study is a bit different as it is concentrated on students’ perceptions or voice towards Edmodo application in the class. The aim of this study is to explore students’ perception or students’ voice on online learning particularly Edmodo application in class.

Abstract The internet can be made as a way to transfer knowledge from lecturers to students, while Learning that utilizes the internet is one of the E-Learning Learning media. E-learning is distance learning that utilizes computer technology or computer networks or the Internet E-learning, so that it can enable the learning process through computers in their respective places without having to physically go to attend classes or lectures in class, Systems e-learning learning is a new way of teaching and learning. E-learning as a special learning media PAI courses provide a very important role and a large function in the course because so far there are many shortcomings and weaknesses such as the limitations of space and time in the teaching and learning process through E-learning which prioritizes the efficiency of learning so students get full teaching even though they do not have to be face to face, can also be accessed anywhere, anytime, according to the assignments given by the lecturer usually scheduled with a specified deadline. The development of education towards e-learning is a must so that the quality standards of education can be improved, E-learning is one of the uses of internet technology in the delivery of learning and its broad reach. E-learning  sebagai   media pembelajaran khususnya mata kuliah PAI memberikan  peran   sangat   penting  dan fungsi yang besar pada mata kuliah tersebut karena selama  ini terdapat banyak  kekurangan  dan kelemahan seperti keterbatasan ruang dan waktu dalam  proses belajar  mengajar melalui E-learning yang  mengedepankan keefisienan dalam belajar sehingga  mahasiswa mendapat pengajaran yang penuh meski tidak harus bertatap muka, juga bisa di akses di mana saja, kapan saja,  sesuai dengan tugas yang diberikan oleh dosen biasanya terjadwal dengan  batas  waktu  yang  di tentukan. Pengembangan  pendidikan menuju e-learning merupakan suatu keharusan agar standar mutu pendidikan dapat ditingkatkan,  E-learning merupakan salah satu penggunaan teknologi internet dalam penyampaian  pembelajaran  serta  jangkauannya yang luas. In response to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, most of the higher education institutions (HEIs) across the globe have replaced conventional teaching with online teaching. However, the technological preparedness of countries of varied nature differs significantly. In this context, the purpose of the study is to answer the following research question: how are the HEIs mitigating the difficulties that have resulted from the COVID-19 pandemic to facilitate online teaching–learning process? The study is carried out based on a cross-sectional study from 281 academic professionals who are employed in HEIs in India and Ethiopia. The findings from this comparative study highlight that digital divide and lack of institutional preparedness are found to be major problems that constrained the effective implementation of online teaching/learning. Besides, this study also found that training programmes for the faculty members to utilize web resources and facilitate online teaching were found to be limited in both the countries. The article concludes by offering suggestions and policy advice to minimize the digital divide and for successful implementation of online teaching in HEIs.
