The demand for technologies related to smart construction is rising as the need for increased productivity in the field of construction becomes ever more important. The fourth industrial revolution has accelerated the growth of advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, 5G, the internet of things, and more, and these technologies are key in relation to smart construction. During the construction phase of our study, a truck travelled along a temporary road within a construction site. Thus, optimizing the location of the temporary road enhances the truck’s moving path, resulting in increased productivity in the road construction process. Thus, in this work, the concept of automating a path for construction equipment (a truck) is proposed. The construction site was divided into cells, where five factors were suggested to create a cost model that could automatically be used to create one of the most efficient paths for construction equipment. With the proposed concept, one can automatically create one of the most efficient paths when deciding the location for a temporary road during construction.

Abstract The lack of a common methodology on compaction theory stimulates developers of road construction equipment to create various approximate methods for their calculation, the number of which, at the present time, is comparable with the nomenclature of the proposed designs of rollers. The article presents the analysis of the deformable shell behavior of a road roller, and the compacted material under its compacting roller, in a situation when a rigid circular shell of the roller is replaced by a forcefully deformable elliptical shape, which, unlike the circular design, allows variation, adjustment and optimization of the road roller impact on the material to be compacted.

Abstract, in case of the construction of road in soft soil, it is necessary toconsider the use of materials around the road construction site, and not touse selected material which is imported from outside the road constructionsite. Thus, aim to overcome the difficulties of using selected materials, namely the difficulty to obtain the materials, the price of expensivematerials , the freight of material that could takes a long time period, highcost, and the use of materials that tend to be environmentally unfriendly. Itis very necessary to learn about the use of nonstandard additive materials, taken to the road construction site, but with the use of geotextilereinforcement. The research method used is a full scale method in the formof trial embankment, so that the performance of the road can be observedfor a long period of time due to the traffic and soil settlement. The resultsobtained is settlement that occur on the road from the combination ofordinary embankment material and local material, most frequently occuredin a larger percentage of ordinary embankment than the local material. While the visual value is relevant to the settlement in which a largerpercentage of ordinary embankment results in a better visual value, due tothe quality of the ordinary embankment material is better than the localmaterial.

The fourth industrial revolution based on information and communication technology (ICT and IoT) is converging into the overall realm of technology, economy and society, creating innovative changes. In line with these changes, research is being actively carried out to integrate information and communication with automation at construction sites. This study was started to analyze problems arising from inefficient operation of construction equipment through analysis of risks arising at construction sites and to provide solutions related to these problems. In order to provide the optimal route of movement of construction equipment, an expert survey was conducted and an algorithm was developed to establish the optimal route of movement by analyzing the weights for each item of the survey. The adequacy of the algorithm was determined by comparing the developed algorithm with the actual data of the construction site in operation, and a safe and productive route as well as problems related to invisible safety are provided through the developed algorithm. Applying the optimal-route-generation algorithm conducted in this study to the construction site will not only increase productivity within the workplace, but also ultimately save time in operating equipment and increase safety.

New technologies enable the manufacturing of asphalt at reduced temperatures. As a result The energy consumption per ton of asphalt and the emissions at the road construction site drop significantly. Whilst conventional asphalt is produced at around 170 ° C, the low - temperature processes of today allow production temperatures of around 100 ° C. Various technologies for this are ready for application by road construction industry. Foam bitumen, waxes and other additives, special bitumen or alternative mixing cycles can be suitable for use, depending on the application. Changing the way of asphalt production in an industry takes several years or even decades. In this paper, we will present low temperature asphalt technologies based on the promising technology of foam bitumen and how they are applied in practice.

The article deals with the issues of political and economic power as well as their constellation on the market. The theory of public choice and the theory of public contract are confronted with an approach centered on the power triad. If structured in the power triad, interactions among states representatives, businesses with structural advantages and businesses without structural advantages allow capturing administrative rents. The political power of the ruling elites coexists with economic power of certain members of the business community. The situation in the oil and gas industry, the retail trade and the road construction and operation industry in Russia illustrates key moments in the proposed analysis.

Statement of the problem. The study of the “Foreign Language” subject at a technical university involves students’ learning the terminology in accordance with the chosen specialty. The teaching practice shows that students experience the difficulties associated with memorising terminological units and using them in the speech. Applying the method of teaching the terminology based on the internal form of these lexical units at foreign language classes makes it possible to optimise the process of learning special terms by students. Results. The research that has been carried out gives reason to argue that the analysis of the internal form of the English “Automobile roads” specialty terms created in the semantic way makes it possible to reveal the derivational and associative relations of the terminological units with the national language words which served as the basis for the secondary nomination. In most cases, these lexical units are the words that are well known by the students and indicate the parts of man’s body and the objects that are present in man’s immediate environment: clothing, dishes, tools, phenomena of the nature, representatives of the animal world, etc. Conclusion. Introducing the internal form of the studied English terms to the road construction specialty students, identifying the associative relations of the terminological units with the well known to the students and widely used words of the national language, fulfilling the specially developed training exercises in the classroom help the students to overcome the difficulties of learning the terminology and to facilitate its memorization.

Russian forest sector forms an attractive market for harvesting and logging equipment, however the position of Russian manufacturers is extremely weak. A brief overview of the current state of the market is presented with reference to the open sources. Its features are mentioned as compared to the road construction and agricultural machinery sectors. Three transnational companies dominate the Russian market of harvesting and logging equipment: John Deere, Ponsse and Komatsu. Most of the purchased equipment falls on machines for cut-tolength technology, such as harvester and forwarder. The market volume of new machines is estimated at 330–420 forwarders, 165–300 harvesters, about 30–40 feller bunchers and the same number of skidders. There were two waves in the consolidation of the position of foreign companies in Russia. The first was connected with the delivery of equipment and the development of foreign brands in Russia against the background of still high-profile positions of Russian manufacturers in the market. The second is the takeover of enterprises having a service network and reputation by diversified transnational corporations. The main strategies of the leading companies in the current situation are the export of equipment to Russia and the development of a service network. Companies do not turn to another level associated with the opening of production sites or joint ventures for the production of harvesting and logging machines. The Russian market is characterized by the absence of a strong Russian manufacturer of harvesting and logging machines, which is ready to significantly influence or actively participate in the processes of import substitution. The position of such a manufacturer is gradually occupied by the Belarusian Amkodor Holding. The purchase of new harvesting and logging machines can afford major timber companies. The main production sites of harvesting and logging machines are located in Finland, Sweden, USA, and Canada. In order to support forestry machine engineering, in addition to economic measures of stimulation approved in other sectors, it is proposed: to organize the work of scientific forest engineering centers on the base of public-private partnership with the financial support from the major vertically-integrated timber corporate groups; to stimulate the development of Russian sector-specific information technologies for harvesting and logging; to initiate the partnership with companies from the People’s Republic of China to launch the design and production of new-generation harvesting and logging machines.
