The conversion between logic and algebraic expressions of Boolean control networks plays a worthy role in the analysis and design of digital circuits. In this paper, for a single Boolean function, a direct conversion between the minterm canonical form and the structure matrix is provided. For a Boolean control network consisting of systems of Boolean functions, two algorithms are developed to achieve the mutual conversion between the logic and algebraic expressions. The presented algorithms decrease exponentially the complexity of the semi-tensor product based method. Some numerical examples are given to demonstrate the algorithms and to compare our method with the existing ones.

The reachability and controllability of switched Boolean (control) network are discussed in this paper. Based on semi-tensor product, using the vector form of Boolean logical variable, the switched Boolean (control) network is expressed as a discrete time system with state and control variables. For the switched Boolean network without control, the stabilization by suitable switching signal is discussed. Also, the controllability of the periodic switching signal is learned, and the conditions for stability and controllability of periodic switched Boolean networks avoiding states setCare obtained.

One of the critical issues in VLSI circuit is High Power dissipation. Quantumdot Cellular Automata (QCA) which is widely utilized in nanocomputing era. QCA has Landauer clocked based synthesis approach and it has clocked based information flow. This manuscript analysis and design a combinational digital circuits in an emerging QCA framework. The design is evaluated and formulated in terms of area, latency and power dissipation. QCA Designer tool has been taken for the design of quantum cell-based combinational circuits and simulation purpose. Moreover, it is believed based on experimental analysis that the QCA based combination circuits will make a contribution to high computing speed and low power paradigm.

Usually, the Survey control networks are used for deformation detection in a specific area using observations taken at different epochs. Where the coordinates obtained from two epochs, using least squares technique, are compared in order to assess if a deformation of a specified magnitude exists. Traditionally, the global congruency test is carried out so as to detect if the area of the network has undergone any movement (uplift or subsidence) due to natural or manmade causes. As a next step, localization methods are used to determine deformations at specific points in case there are changes in shape. In this research a new method is developed to establish deformations at specific points directly. The method is tested using a vertical control network simulated at various epochs of observation. The results obtained are compared with those obtained by another used method. Results obtained using this method indicate that vertical deformations greater than 0.03m using a precision of observation less than 10 can be detected at a minimum significant level of 0.05 (95% confidence level).

Currently digital circuits have a high flying role in most communications applications. In this Paper, a successful approach to risk-free circuit analysis and design using quantum dot cellular automata is explored at the Nano level. This paper, which we use for both integrated and continuous digital circuits, is a basic component of QCA circuit operation. The Quantum Dot Cellular Automata Designer Tool is very useful for designing a large risk-free circuit. So the proposed risk-free circuit is designed and simulated using this designing software utensil for three input stages. The proposed framework for the risk-free circuit requires only a small number of major gate operations compared to previous structures because of its three input levels.

In this paper, a symmetrical twin-tower structure with chassis connected with passive dampers is coupled as 2-DOF (degree of freedom) model. Using the stationary white noise as seismic excitation, the frequency–response function and the vibration energy expression of the symmetrical twin-tower structure are established based on the simplified 2-DOF model. Furthermore, based on the principle of minimum energy, the analytical expressions of the optimization parameters of two kinds of passive dampers are deduced, and the effectiveness of the dampers with optimized coefficients on structural control is verified by numerical examples of 2-DOF and MDOF (multi-degree-of-freedom) systems, respectively. Finally, the control effects of the two kinds of dampers under different control strategies on the responses of displacement of the top, base shear, structural vibration energy, and maximum inter-story drift of the symmetrical twin-tower structure are discussed through three-dimensional finite element numerical examples. It is verified that the analytical expressions of optimum parameters of the two kinds of dampers proposed based on the 2-DOF model are also beneficial to reduce the responses of the MDOF systems and actual engineering.

This paper investigates robust controllability and observability of Boolean control networks under disturbances. Firstly, under unobservable disturbances, some sufficient conditions are obtained for robust controllability of BCNs. Then an algorithm is proposed to construct the least control sequences which drive the trajectory from a state to a given reachable state. If the disturbances are observable, by defining the order-preserving system, an efficient sufficient condition is obtained for robust controllability of BCNs. Finally, the robust observability problem is converted into an equivalent robust controllability via set controllability and is solved by using the results obtained for set controllability. Some numerical examples are presented to illustrate the obtained results.

This paper presents a preliminary design method based on dynamic similarity and quasistatic simulation. The proposal improves methods based on Beale and West correlations and provides the engine speeds corresponding to the maximum indicated powers and the achievement of indicated power maps. The dimensionless factor of indicated power losses provides a new viewpoint for engine analysis and design. In support of the method, experimental GPU-3 test results have been reanalysed, proving the accuracy of maximum indicated power predictions and providing values of the dimensionless factor of indicated power losses. Scaling factors corresponding to strict dynamic similarity are supplied for several typical cases. Similarity relaxation criteria are also recommended to be used when strict dynamic similarity leads to inadequate specifications for the derivative. Some numerical examples illustrate the method.

This paper discusses the resurvey conditions of the GPS horizontal network for WZ Bridge in Wanzhou District, Chongqing City, China. Through the adjustment of the observation data, this paper shows that using the short side as the lofting directed edge in high-precision lofting should be avoided. Further, resurvey results show that the control network accuracy can meet standard requirements. The control network can be used for precision measurement in the anti-collision facilities installation engineering of WZ Bridge, and can also be a reference for other engineering control networks in mountainous river areas.
