This paper describes the development and plans for the implementation of a cloud-based logistics platform to enable and optimize cross-border shipping, using the China Railway Express (CR Express) in the context of China’s recent One Belt and One Road (OBOR) initiative as an example of an extremely complex system that is running at suboptimal efficiency. We design a cross-border logistics information cloud platform (CLICP) and its architecture. The proposed CLICP comprises a hybrid cloud model with three layers of cloud services. We also examine the CLICP’s operation and the design of the platform’s functions, including core business and value-added service functions, such as real-time bidding, freight information push, and carrier one-stop service management functions. Finally, we propose a model for deploying our CLICP. Our study makes a significant contribution to the literature because of its hybrid cloud model architecture and for the completeness of its functionality. The study also has a good application prospect for the operation of CR Express and will play a better supporting role in cross-border logistics.

The authors present their experience and practices of introducing cloud services, as a means to simplify the adoption of ICT (Information Communication and Technology) in education, using Free/Open Source Software. The solution creates a hybrid cloud infrastructure, in order to provide a pre-installed (Ubuntu and Linux Terminal Server Project) virtual machine, acting as a server inside the school, providing desktop environment based on the Software as a Service cloud model, where legacy PCs act as stateless devices. Classroom management is accomplished using the application “Epoptes.” To minimize administration tasks, educational software is provided accordingly, either on-line or through repositories to automate software installation (including patches and updates). The advantages of the hybrid cloud implementation, include services that are not completely dependent on broadband connections’ state, minimal cost, reusability of obsolete equipment, ease of administration, centralized management, patches and educational software provisioning and, above all, facilitation of the educational procedure.

In this chapter, the authors present the methodology and the results of their effort towards the introduction of cloud services as a means to simplify the adoption of ICT in education using Free/Open Source Software. A hybrid cloud infrastructure is established in order to provide Linux and optionally MS-Windows desktop environments with the Software as a Service cloud model. Legacy and modern school PCs function as stateless devices. To achieve this, their “Sch-scripts” application performs an unattended installation of the Linux Terminal Server Project software to a school computer that also hosts centrally maintained virtual machines. Classroom management is accomplished using their “Epoptes” application. Administration is only required in the school server while the educational software is provided with the Software as a Service model either in online form or through repositories that automate software installation. Four-hundred-twenty schools have already implemented this architecture and 117 responded to the evaluation survey. The statistical analysis of these answers confirms the design principles, which include minimal cost, as well as reusability of obsolete equipment, ease of administration, centralized management, patches and educational software provisioning, classroom management, and above all, facilitation of the educational procedure.

Over the recent years, the expansion of cloud computing services enable hospitals and institutions to transit their healthcare data to the cloud, thus it provides the worldwide data access and on-demand high quality services at a cheaper rate. Despite the benefits of healthcare cloud services, the associated privacy issues are widely concerned by individuals and governments. Privacy risks rise when outsourcing personal healthcare records to cloud due to the sensitive nature of health information and the social and legal implications for its disclosure. Over the recent years, a privacy-preserving data mining (PPDM) technique has become a critical issue for the problems. Our goal is to design a privacy-preserving outsourcing framework under the hybrid cloud model. In this work we propose a Hybrid Ant Colony Optimization and Gravitational Search Algorithm (ACOGSA) to express the problem of hiding sensitive data through transaction deletion. Thus, it reduces the side effects of the hybrid cloud. Substantive experiments will be carried to compare the performance of the designed algorithm with the state-of-the-art approaches in terms of the side effects and database similarity (integrity). Over the past to sanitize the databases used for hiding sensitive information, a few heuristic approaches have been proposed. The method used for the comparison involves GA, PSO, ACO, and Firefly framework.

The paper is dedicated to mechanisms for open access to resource management in the Internet Protocol (IP) multimedia networks. First we present the concept of IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) and explain the IMS functional architecture, principles of quality of service management and service control in IMS. Then we describe the idea behind the opening of network interfaces for third parties so that others besides the network operator can create and deploy services. Open Service Access (OSA) and Parlay appear to be the technologies for value-added service delivery in multimedia networks. In the paper we take a closer look to the Parlay/OSA interfaces that allow third party applications to access the resource management functions in IMS. OSA "Connectivity Manager" interfaces and OSA "Policy Management" interfaces are considered. Parlay X Web Services interfaces provide a higher level of abstraction than Parlay/OSA interfaces and gain an amazing amount of support among service developers. We address "Applicationdriven Quality of Service" Parlay X Web Service and "Policy" Parlay X Web Service also.

Cloud computing on-demand dynamicity in nature of end-user that leads towards a hybrid cloud model deployment is called a multi-cloud. Multi-cloud is a multi-tenant and multi-vendor heterogeneous cloud platform in terms of services and security under a defined SLA (service level agreement). The diverse deployment of the multi-cloud model leads to rise in security risks. In this paper, we define a multi-cloud model with hybridization of vendor and security to increase the end-user experience. The proposed model has a heterogeneous cloud paradigm with a combination of firewall tracts to overcome rising security issues. The proposed work consists of three steps, firstly, all incoming traffic from the consumer end into five major groups called ambient. Secondly, design a next-generation firewall (NGFW) topology with a mixture of tree-based and demilitarized zone (DMZ) implications. Test implementation of designed topology performed by using a simple DMZ technique in case of vendor-specific model and NGFW on hybrid vendor based multi-cloud model. Furthermore, it also defines some advantages of NGFW to overcome these concerns. The proposed work is helpful for the new consumer to define their dynamic secure cloud services under a single SLA before adopting a multi-cloud platform. Finally, results are compared in terms of throughput and CPU utilization in both cases.

Cloud applications heavily use resources and generate more traffic specifically during specific events. In order to achieve quality in service provisioning, the elasticity of resources is a major requirement. With the use of a hybrid cloud model, organizations combine the private and public cloud services to deploy applications for the elasticity of resources. For elasticity, a traditional adaptive policy implements threshold-based auto-scaling approaches that are adaptive and simple to follow. However, during a high dynamic and unpredictable workload, such a static threshold policy may not be effective. An efficient auto-scaling technique that predicts the system load is highly necessary. Balancing a dynamism of load through the best auto-scale policy is still a challenging issue. In this paper, we suggest an algorithm using Deep learning and queuing theory concepts that proactively indicate an appropriate number of future computing resources for short term resource demand. Experiment results show that the proposed model predicts SLA violation with higher accuracy 5% than the baseline model. The suggested model enhances the elasticity of resources with performance metrics.

Special services provided by schools to students are generally the same, but different on the process of the management and utilization. Some form of special services in school is the service: councelling, libraries, laboratories, extracurricular, infirmary, cafeteria, cooperatives, OSIS, transport, boarding, acceleration, class inclusion, and apprentice. As a special service management functions include: (1) planning, such as needs analysis and programming of special services; (2) the organization, such as the division of tasks to carry out special service program; (3) in motion, in the form of the settings in the implementation of special services, and (4) control, in the form of program monitoring and performance assessment special services program in school. So that special services should be managed with effective management processes in order to strengthen the management process of education, particularly at the school level.

The purpose of the research is to present the features of digitization of business processes in enterprises as a foundation on which the gradual formation of Industry 4.0 and the search for economic growth in new virtual reality, which has every chance to be a decisive step in implementing digital strategy for Ukraine and development of the innovation ecosystem. Key problems that arise during the digitalization of business processes in enterprises are presented, among which are: the historical orientation of production to mass, “running” sizes and large batches; large-scale production load; the complexity of cooperation and logic between production sites. It is determined that high-quality and effective tools of innovation-digital transformation in the conditions of virtual reality should include: a single system of on-line order management for all enterprises (application registration – technical expertise – planning – performance control – shipment); Smart Factory, Predictive Maintenance, IIoT, CRM, SCM. Features of digital transformation in the part of formation of enterprises of the ecosystem of Industry 4.0 are revealed. The capabilities and benefits of using Azure cloud platform in enterprises, which includes more than 200 products and cloud services, are analyzed. Azure is said to support open source technologies, so businesses have the ability to use tools and technologies they prefer and are more useful. After conducting a thorough analysis of the acceleration of deep digitalization of business processes by enterprises, authors proposed to put into practice Aruba solution for tracking contacts in the fight against COVID-19. Aruba technology helps locate, allowing you to implement flexible solutions based on Aruba Partner Ecosystem using a USB interface. It is proposed to use SYNTEGRA – a data integration service that provides interactive analytics and provides data models and dashboards in order to accelerate the modernization of data storage and management, optimize reporting in the company and obtain real-time analytics. The possibilities of using Azure cloud platform during the digitization of business processes of enterprises of the ecosystem of Industry 4.0 in the conditions of virtual reality are determined.
