Professional selection is a significant task for any organization that aims to select the most appropriate candidates to fill well-defined vacancies up. In the recruitment process, various individual characteristics are involved, such as leadership, analytical skills, independent thinking, innovation, stamina and personality, ambiguity and imprecision. It outlines staff contribution and therefore plays a significant part in human resources administration. Additionally, in the era of the Internet of Things and Big Data (IoTBD), professional selection would face several challenges not only to the safe selection and security but also to make wise and prompt decisions especially in the large-scale candidates and criteria from the Cloud. However, the process of professional selection is often led by experience, which contains vague, ambiguous and uncertain decisions. It is therefore necessary to design an efficient decision-making algorithm, which could be further escalated to IoTBD. In this paper, we propose a new hybrid neutrosophic multi criteria decision making (MCDM) framework that employs a collection of neutrosophic analytical network process (ANP), and order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) under bipolar neutrosophic numbers. The MCDM framework is applied for chief executive officer (CEO) selection in a case study at the Elsewedy Electric Group, Egypt. The proposed approach allows us to assemble individual evaluations of the decision makers and therefore perform accurate personnel selection. The outcomes of the proposed method are compared with those of the related works such as weight sum model (WSM), weight product model (WPM), analytical hierarchy process (AHP), multi-objective optimization based on simple ratio analysis (MOORA) and ANP methods to prove and validate the results.

The subject of the research is the process of making managerial decisions for innovative IT projects investing. The paper focuses on the new approach to decision making on investing innovative IT projects using expert survey in a fuzzy reasoning system. As input information, expert estimates of projects have been aggregated into six indicators having a linguistic description of the individual characteristics of the project type "high", "medium", and "low". The task of decision making investing has been formalized and the term-set of the output variable Des has been defined: to invest 50-75% of the project cost; to invest 20-50% of the project cost; to invest 10-20% of the project cost; to send the project for revision; to turn down investing project. The fuzzy product model of making investment management decisions has been developed; it adequately describes the process of investment management. The expediency of using constructed production model on a practical example is shown.

This study investigates the decision-making issues in the selection of destinations for large-scale exhibitions by the cultural and creative industry. We use the Rubber Duck China Tour by the Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman as an example and adopt the analytic network process technique to evaluate destination options for the exhibition, as well as to explore the impacts of the evaluation of destination feasibilities on exhibition investment. The results show that power, a high benefit-cost ratio, first-tier cities, integration with local communities, and a rich and interesting theme are the top five factors that curators should consider when planning exhibitions. Considering the priority among cities of various tiers, first-tier cities are the most favorable, followed by fourth-tier, third-tier, and second-tier cities. The decision-making model provides curators with a reliable reference for selecting destinations for future exhibitions.

The selection of a location among alternative locations is a multi criteria decision-making problem including both quantitative and qualitative criteria. In this paper, we describe the research and development of hybrid MCDM methods for greenhouse locating. Selection of the most appropriate location for investor is an important problem which requires assessment and analysis of several factors. The paper clarifies the structure of important criteria in greenhouse locating. The six factors identified were: labor, government, environment, physical condition, regional economy and raw materials. In this research, analysis network process (ANP) is applied to find the relative weights among the criteria and to emphasize the interdependent relationships, thus increasing the accuracy of our results COPRAS-G method is applied to rank for five regions in Amol city, in Iran. This article can be a guideline for investors to select the best location for greenhouses.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) selection as a subset of personnel selection asks for different characteristic compared to a selection of other personnel. The reason for this is the polymorphic nature of the CEO role. The complexity and importance of the selection problem, call for analytical methods rather than decisions based on intuition. The multi-criteria nature and the presence of both qualitative and quantitative factors make the entire selection more complex. As such, the CEO selection is a multi-criteria decision making problem decision making problem, affected by several qualitative and quantitative, often conflicting criteria which are usually uncertain. This paper proposes a CEO selection approach based on the fuzzy decision support system developed by using JAVA technology and extent analysis method. This system is applied in a real-life case study to evaluate the most suitable person for a CEO position in information and communication (ICT) company dealing with the rating of both qualitative and quantitative criteria, and testing appropriate consistency to ensure quality of selection.

Kementrian Agama kota Serang adalah salah satu lembaga yang berada dibawah Menteri Agama Republik Indonesia, Salah satu tugas utamanya adalah mengelola lembaga pendidikan islam yaitu madrasah diniyah, madrasah ibtida’iyah, madrasah pondok pesantren, dan juga pengelolaan dana bantuan operasional pendidikan. kurangnya akurasi antara kriteria dan persyaratan penerima BOP sehingga rentan terjadi manipulasi,  oleh karena itu maka dibutuhkan sebuah sistem pendukung keputusan untuk memberikan rekomendasi terhadap penetapan penerima bantuan operasional pendidikan (BOP)  yang akurat. Metode MCDM yang sesuai diterapkan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan penetapan penerima BOP ini adalah metode Weighted Product Model (WPM) karena alasan kesederhanaan dan juga sesuai dengan proses pemilihan alternatif. Adapun Kriteria penerima bantuan operasional pendidikan (BOP) antara lain: minimal memiliki siswa 60 orang, memiliki izin operasional, bangunan fisik , minimal memiliki 4 kelas, minimal memiliki 4 orang pengajar, usia madrasah minimal 2 tahun, tidak sedang mendapatkan bantuan dari instansi lain. tujuan penelitian ini adalah menerapkan metode MCDM untuk  membangun aplikasi sistem pendukung keputusan penentuan penerima BOP madrasah dan memudahkan bagian Kementrian Agama untuk menyeleksi calon penerima bantuan operasional pendidikan. pada penelitian ini menghasilkan sebuah sistem pendukung keputusan untuk memberikan rekomendasi terhadap penetapan penerima bantuan operasional pendidikan (BOP) madrasah, aplikasi ini dibangun dengan menggunakan Delphi 7 dan database MySql.

Today, IS supplier selection is one of the most critical steps in the outsourcing process; the success of outsourcing is highly dependent on the selection of IS suppliers. This paper proposes a new hybrid fuzzy multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) model, which uses decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) technique, analytic network process (ANP), and Vlse Kriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje(VIKOR) to evaluate four potential suppliers using seven factors and five decision makers using a realistic case study. the results showed that Service support is importance for outsourcing. The proposed model can help practitioners improve their decision making process.

This chapter attempts to fill in the gap of evaluating the viability of adopting online marketing for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in service industries. As SMEs are generally characterized by shortage of resources, the use of online marketing strategies is apparently difficult. However, the current landscape of competition among SMEs in a global market economy prompts the necessity of adopting online marketing. With these, the decision-making process of SMEs in this area becomes complex and the decisions must integrate complex and interrelating criteria and constructs in order to provide a more holistic solution. Thus, this work adopts a multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) method particularly the analytic network process (ANP) in order to evaluate the practicability of using online marketing for service SMEs. It becomes highly relevant as it provides significant insights to decision-makers in SMEs regarding the use of online marketing strategy. The contribution of this chapter lies in the application of MCDM in evaluating viability of online marketing in service SMEs.
