The skin of donkeys and mules represents a promising source of income; however, cultural, productive, and infectious factors can directly interfere with the quality of the integumentary tissue and well-being of these species. The objective of this study is to present a literature review on equine dermatopathies. This literature review included scientific articles related to equine medicine and breeding according to pre-established search terms and expressions published in recently articles. The evaluation of the clinical and pathological behavior of dermatopathies implies the use of control strategies and the recognition of pathological patterns that may be particular to the species.

Aim:The objective of this article is to identify and analyze what is known about characteristics in and around the home that support well-being for those with cognitive impairment. This could provide direction for designers of homes in general, but specifically for designers trying to meet the needs of people with cognitive impairment.Background:It has been established that there is a relationship between psychological well-being and a person’s environment. Research also shows that particular design aspects can reduce the impact of cognitive impairment. However, there is limited design expertise in the Australian housing market to create supportive spaces which will help to reduce the impact of the disability for those with cognitive impairment.Method:A literature review was carried out to determine the extent and details of what is known about the relationship of home design and its impact on emotional, psychological, or social well-being for people with cognitive impairment.Conclusions:The study indicates that researchers in various disciplines understand that pragmatic design inputs such as thermal comfort and adequate lighting are important for people with cognitive impairment. In addition, some researchers have shown or surmise that there are other “intangible” designer-controlled elements that have beneficial impacts on people with cognitive impairment. Details of these intangible elements are sparse, and how much they might improve the quality of life for a person with cognitive impairment is not well understood. Further research is required to meet a growing need.

Objective - To increase awareness of the psychosocial impact of Kushtha, Visarpa, Mukhadushika, Sheetpitta, Udarda and Kotha in Ayurveda and Acne vulgaris, Urticaria, Various types of fungal infections, Atopic dermatitis, Psoriasis etc. in modern point of view. Quality Of Evidence - A literature review was based on a MEDLINE search (1966 to 2000). Selected articles from the dermatologic and psychiatric literature, as well as other relevant medical journals, were reviewed and used as the basis for discussion of how skin disease affects patients’ lives and of appropriate management. Message - Dermatologic problems hurt patients’ quality of life. skin disease can produce stress, anxiety, anger, depression, low self-esteem, embarrassment, and other psychological, personal, professional and social life problems that affect patients’ lives in ways comparable to arthritis or other disabling illnesses, as well as showing a bidirectional relationship between skin disease and psychological distress. This review focuses on the effects of five common skin diseases seen by family physicians- Acne, Urticaria, Various types of fungal infections, Atopic dermatitis and Psoriasis. Conclusion - How skin disease affects psychosocial well-being is un- derappreciated. Increased understanding of the psychiatric comorbidity associated with skin disease and a biopsy- chosocial approach to management will ultimately improve patients’ lives. Background Acne is a chronic skin disorder which generally presents in adolescence but continues into adulthood, and negatively affects both physical and psychosocial well-being. Presently, there are no validated acne-specific quality-of-life (QoL) measures that include dimensions for both facial and torso acne. Objective: The objective of this study was to develop a QoL instrument for both facial and torso acne (CompAQ) in accordance with recommended standards. Methods: A literature review and Delphi survey of patients and clinicians were used to develop the conceptual framework for outcomes perceived important to acne patients. An initial version of the measure was developed, CompAQ-v1, and pilot tested with patients via cognitive interviews. Results: The Delphi survey generated 4 domains (physical, psychological, sociological, and treatment) and 54 items. These, along with a literature review and input from clinical experts, informed the development of the CompAQ-v1. Eleven cognitive interviews were conducted, resulting in the second version of the measure, CompAQ-v2. Psychometric validation resulted in the final 20-item CompAQ measure comprising 5 domains. An abbreviated 5-item measure was also developed (CompAQ-SF). Conclusion: CompAQ and CompAQ-SF are instruments intended to evaluate QoL in patients with acne on their face or torso. The former is a 21-item QoL intended for research, while the latter is intended for clinical practice.

Abstract Background Quality of life is a multidimensional concept that includes perceptions of one’s physical, psychological, social, and spiritual functioning, all of which are theorized to be interdependent. The focus of this study is social functioning, which itself is a multidimensional concept that includes social support and social constraint among other things. In cancer survivors, social support receives most of the research attention, but social constraint may have a stronger influence on quality of life. Purpose This systematic literature review evaluates which aspect of social functioning—social support or social constraint—has a stronger relationship with the psychological functioning of cancer survivors. Methods The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines were followed in the identification and review of 32 independent records. Multiple measures of social support and social constraint were used across studies, with most having adequate psychometric properties. Psychological outcomes were divided into (a) general distress, (b) cancer-specific distress, (c) general well-being, and (d) cancer-specific well-being. Results For general and cancer-specific distress, social constraint exhibited a larger association with distress than social support. Similarly, for general well-being, most studies reported a stronger association with social constraint than social support. For cancer-specific well-being, the opposite was true such that associations were stronger for social support than social constraint. Conclusions Results highlight the importance of considering social constraint when examining quality-of-life outcomes like psychological distress and well-being. Findings support social constraint as a target in interventions to reduce cancer survivors’ distress, while social support could be considered in attempts to promote cancer-specific well-being.

ABSTRACT            According to the expert, the spa industry is still growing and can be used as green washing. Therefore, it is important for the spa industry to also poised to offer adequate solutions and lead the way on how we can achieve sustainable well being within protecting the world. Fairmont Sanur The Spa, as the winner of Best Leading Spa Resort 2017/2018 by Bali Tourism Award realize the increase interest of customer for ‘something green’ also impact their business. The customers sincere awareness about environment make them realize that they might have to run things differently from now on, starting with checking their green marketing strategy due to up until now they only focus on the regular marketing. The purpose of this study is to develop a green marketing strategy for the green spa industry which is exemplified by Fairmont Sanur The Spa. This research used qualitative method that is constructive with literature review and management interview as the premier data source. The result of this study is finding that Fairmont Sanur The Spa needs to focus more on their promotion in terms of strategy, therefore a strategy for promotional activity is made. This research contributes to the resort spa business where they need to focus on their green movement as a whole to ensure the quality of the products and services offered. Further studies can be can be conducted to find standardization on green spa, therefore even though they have been doing all the green marketing, they do not have a certificate that can assure their green business.

During a flight, changes occur in the human body, whose possible reactions can influence the well-being and quality of health of medicine users, subject of scarce studies. The aim of this paper is to analyze the impacts and effects of medication use during air transport. Through a literature review and documentary research methodology, relevant facts about the precautions that should be taken regarding the use of medication in flights were considered. As a practical contribution, some important medications and their possible effects during flights are presented, as well as some warnings about medication interactions, and some advice for better quality air travel for the health of passengers and crew are given. As a theoretical contribution, this study gathers the scattered information presented in the literature about the problems that the use of medications during a flight can cause to the human body and possible recommendations. As social contribution, this study warns about the risks of self-medication, and establishes a basis for future discussions with society about the use of medication in flights.

Obesity is a health problem that threatens all aspects of human life. While rising rates of obesity involving adolescents do not show such a drastic increase, this problem should not be underestimated. In addition to grappling with the issue of adolescent development, adolescent obesity is also facing with the problem of physical health, social and psychological caused by obesity. If the issue is not addressed with appropriate intervention, obese adolescent will have the quality of life and well-being of poor and disrupt their functioning in society. Therefore, this paper will try to discuss about the health effects of psychological and social (psychosocial) experienced by obese adolescents based on the literature review and proposed interventions that can be used to help them.

BACKGROUND The outbreak of COVID-19 has profoundly influenced people’s lifestyles; these impacts have varied across subgroups of people. The pandemic-related impacts on the health outcomes of people with dermatological conditions are unknown. OBJECTIVE The aim of this paper was to study the association of COVID-19 pandemic–related impacts with health-related quality of life in patients with skin diseases. METHODS This was a cross-sectional study among Chinese patients with skin diseases. A self-administered web-based questionnaire was distributed through social media. Demographic and clinical data and pandemic-related impacts (isolation status, income changes, and employment status) were collected. The main outcomes included perceived stress (Visual Analog Scale), symptoms of anxiety (Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7) and depression (9-Item Patient Health Questionnaire), quality of life (Dermatology Life Quality Index), and health utility mapping based on the EQ-5D-3L descriptive system. Multivariable logistic regression was used to investigate the associations. RESULTS A total of 506 patients with skin diseases completed the survey. The mean age of the patients was 33.5 years (SD 14.0), and 217/506 patients (42.9%) were male. Among the 506 respondents, 128 (25.3%) were quarantined, 102 (20.2%) reported unemployment, and 317 (62.6%) reported decrease or loss of income since the pandemic. The pandemic-related impacts were significantly associated with impaired mental well-being and quality of life with different effects. Unemployment and complete loss of income were associated with the highest risks of adverse outcomes, with increases of 110% to 162% in the prevalence of anxiety, depression, and impaired quality of life. CONCLUSIONS Isolation, income loss, and unemployment are associated with impaired health-related quality of life in patients with skin diseases during the COVID-19 pandemic.
