Precision of filter rod circumference is an important performance index of the cigarette manufacturing. The forming mechanism of filter rod, equipment vibration and other interference factors all lead to fluctuations of precision of filter rod circumference which can affect the precision of the cigarette. The existing KDF2/3 filter rod making machine which has the characteristics of compact structure (small space dimension), high speed (300 m/min) and discrete control of precision of filter rod circumference is the core equipment of filter rod production. This paper puts forward four kinds of online real-time detection schemes on precision of filter rod circumference which are Aomeijia’s many groups of detectors scheme, Keyence’s contour detection scheme, high precision measuring diameter instrument detection scheme using multiple sets of KD series meter and the 360 degrees rotating survey meter. On the basis of extensive analysis and experimental validation, Aomeijia’s four-way diameter measuring instrument scheme is optimal. The scheme applies laser to non-contact high speed scan on key radial diameter size of filter rod which achieves 0.001mm high precision detection.

Traditional filling disc assembly requires a lot of manual operations and the efficiency of filling disc is not high. Human-machine interface (HMI) and image positioning system of the filling disc machine are developed in this paper, and the whole system and structure are studied on the programmable control technology. The machine realizes the functions of data real-time collection and fast accurate localization. Equipment has reached the accurate filling disc, and got an excellent application in the enterprises.

The existing phase-shift methods are effective in achieving high-speed, high-precision, high-resolution, real-time shape measurement of moving objects; however, a phase-unwrapping method that can handle the motion of target objects in a real environment and is robust against global illumination as well is yet to be established. Accordingly, a robust and highly accurate method for determining the absolute phase, using a minimum of three steps, is proposed in this study. In this proposed method, an order structure that rearranges the projection pattern for each period of the sine wave is introduced, so that solving the phase unwrapping problem comes down to calculating the pattern order. Using simulation experiments, it has been confirmed that the proposed method can be used in high-speed, high-precision, high-resolution, three-dimensional shape measurements even in situations with high-speed moving objects and presence of global illumination. In this study, an experimental measurement system was configured with a high-speed camera and projector, and real-time measurements were performed with a processing time of 1.05 ms and a throughput of 500 fps.

For the improvement of the system real-time capability, the DSP Curve Surface interpolator has been designed to ensure high speed, high precision requirement for the machining of complexity curve surface. The hardware and software has been designed. The changeable feedrate interpolation algorithm of limit curve error has been studied. Furthermore, the algorithm has been applied to the interpolation and has well real-time capability to satisfy the requirement of high capability CNC by experimentation.

A novel worm wheel transmission error measurement system based on a new space-time subdivision technology is presented in this paper. Non-integer transmission ratio with high precision can be measured with this measurement system. FPGA chip is employed to meet the requirement of high precision and real-time, and USB2.0 meet the requirement of high speed data acquisition and real time data transmission. In addition, precision self-checking is studied with quantitative shifting method, and the experiment method on repeatability test and data processing are studied with dual-observation method. Experiment results prove that this measurement system has high precision and good repeatability.
