Background: In addition to the influence of diabetes on male reproduction lowers testosterone levels of FSH and LH, the second number of hormones is reduced will interfere with the process of spermatogenesis. If the spermatogenesis process is interrupted then the number of germ cells decreases, this will cause a decrease in the weight of the testes. Objective: To analyze the effect of extract grass administration to the weight of the testicles diabetes Mellitus mice between the treatment group and the control. Methods: The research used DM male mice which is divided into 5 groups each consisting of 6 mice. Day 1 till day 5 all STZ-induced groups. On the 11th day to the 45th day, the control group (K +) was given metformin 2mg/head/day. The control group (K-) was given CMC-Na 1%. Group P1, P2 and P3 was given Kebar grass with dose of 67, 5mg/day, 135mg/kg/day, and 270mg/kg/day and metformin 2mg/head/day. The 46th was done with the release and sampling of the right and left testicles. Testicular weighing used analytic scales 0.001gram. Results: Statistical tests showed that there was a discrepancy in the p-value = 0.000 (0.05) on testicular weight. Conclusion: Increased testicular weight model of diabetes mellitus that gets the grass extractions of Kebar. Proses spermatogenesis terganggu maka jumlah sel germinal mengalami penurunan, hal ini akan menyababkan berat testis menurun. Tujuan: menganalisisi pengaruh pemberian ekstrak rumput kebar terhadap berat testis mencit model diabetes mellitus antara kelompok perlakuan dan kontrol. Metode: penelitian menggunakan mencit DM yang dibagi menjadi lima kelompok setiap kelompok terdiri dari 6 ekor mencit. Hari ke 1 sampai hari ke 5 semua kelompok diinduksi STZ. Hari ke 11 sampai hari ke 45 kelompok kontrol (K+) disonde metformin 2mg/ekor/hari. Kelompok kontrol (K-) disonde CMC Na 1%. Kelompok P1,P2 dan P3 disonde ekstrak rumput kebar dengan dosis, 67,5mg/kgBB/hari, 135mg/kgBB/hari, 270mg/kgBB/hari dan metformin 2mg/ekor/hari. Hari ke 46 dilakukan pembedahan dan pengambilan sampel testis kanan dan kiri dan Penimbangan berat testis mencit menggunakan timbangan analitik dengan skala 0,001 gram. Hasil: uji statistik menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan bermakna dengan nilai p= 0,000 (p<0,05) pada berat testis mencit. ABSTRACTBackground: Vulva hygine is necessary to prevent pathological vaginal discharge. The right strategy to prevent vaginal discharge is to provide Vulva hygine education. The study was conducted on April 1, 2020 for 1 week.Research methods: Using a quasi-experimental research method. This type of research is the pre and post test control group design with a sample of 65 respondents, using a questionnaire measuring instrument and using the Wilcoxon test for knowledge and attitudes and the T test for action.Results: statistical tests on knowledge and attitudes using the Wilcoxon test, from the results of these tests obtained results for knowledge and attitudes P value + 0.000 <α 0.05, and for action using the Paired sample T-test statistical test and the results obtained P value = 0.000 <α 0.05. This means that from the three domains above Ha is accepted.Conclusion: There is an effect of education on the knowledge, attitudes and actions of students at the risk of pathological vaginal discharge. This study aims to determine the effect of modern dressings on wound healing of grade 2 diabetes mellitus at Griya Utami Care Bali. The design used in the study was a real experiment with a one-group pre-post test approach. The results showed that the experimental group's average post value was 8.67, with a standard deviation of 2.024. In the control group, the average post value was 10.60, with a standard deviation of 2.874. Based on the results of statistical tests, it was found that the p-value was 0.042, meaning that there was a significant difference in the average post value between the experimental group and the control group. In conclusion, there is an effect of modern dressings on wound healing for grade 2 diabetes mellitus at Griya Utami care Bali. Keywords: Diabetes Mellitus, Grade 2 Diabetes Wounds, Modern Dressing

Background: Atherosclerosis is a known macro-vascular complication of diabetes mellitus. Gliptins, as a drug class have non-glycemic beneficial action on blood vessels and in addition to their anti-diabetic effects. This study was carried out to find out the effects of sitagliptin and vildagliptin on common carotid intima-media thickness in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.Methods: The observational longitudinal study was carried out on 100 patients with 80 patients with confirmed clinical diagnosis of type 2 diabetes mellitus. They were divided in 3 groups. Group A and Group B received drugs, either sitagliptine or vildagliptin and Group C control group did not receive any drug. High resolution B-mode ultrasonography was carried out for the measurement of intima-media thickness (IMT) of both the common carotid arteries (CCA). Data analysis was done using Microsoft excel spreadsheet and GraphPad Prism version 7.0 (free trial version) software package. A p value of ≤ 0.05 was considered as statistically significant.Results: The baseline value for the control group was 0.812±0.0748 mm for both the right and left CCA. At 52 weeks the CCA IMT for the right and left CCA were 1.0185± 0.272 mm and 0.936±0.149 mm respectively. At 104 weeks the CCA IMT for the right and left CCA were 0.923±0.243 mm and 0.859±0.123 mm respectively.Conclusions: There was a significant decrease in carotid intima-media thickness in patients of type-2 diabetes mellitus treated with sitagliptin and vildagliptin.

Diabetes mellitus dapat menyebabkan cukup banyak komplikasi seperti kelainan mata, kelainan ginjal, kelainan pembuluh darah dan kelainan pada kaki. Penderita diabetes mellitus yang mengalami komplikasi kronis perlu diberikan upaya preventif untuk mencegah komplikasi, salah satunya adalah kemampuan perawatan kaki. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menguji efektivitas supportive educative system dalam meningkatkan kemandirian perawatan kaki pada pasien dengan diabetes mellitus Tipe II di Puskesmas Permata Sukarame, Bandar Lampung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasy eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest with control group dengan total masing-masing kelompok sebanyak 18 responden. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada responden yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi penelitian. Penelitian ini diuji menggunakan analisis univariat, bivariat dan uji T-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan rata-rata dalam kemandirian perawatan kaki pada kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol dengan p-value 0,000. Pendidikan dan praktik perawatan kaki harus diberikan sejak dini sebagai upaya pencegahan untuk komplikasi.   Kata kunci : Supportive educative system, kemandirian perawatan kaki   SUPPORTIVE EDUCATIVE SYSTEM IN IMPROVING INDEPENDENCE OF FOOT CARE IN PATIENTS WITH DIABETES MELLITUS TYPE II   ABSTRACT Diabetes mellitus can cause quite a lot of complications such as eye disorders, kidney disorders, vascular disorders and abnormalities in the legs. Patients with diabetes mellitus who have chronic complications need to be given a preventive effort to prevent complications, one of which is foot care ability. This research was conducted to examine the effectiveness of supportive educative systems in increasing the independence of foot care in patients with Type II diabetes mellitus in the Permata Sukarame Health Center Bandar Lampung Working Area. This study used a quasi-experimental method with pretest-posttest with control group design with a total of 18 respondents each. Data collection is done by distributing questionnaires to respondents who meet the research inclusion criteria. This study was tested using univariate, bivariate, T-Test analysis. The results showed that the mean differences in the independence of foot care in the intervention group and the control group in the Permata Sukarame Community Health Center work area with a p-value of 0,000. Education and practice of foot care should be given early as a preventative effort for complications.   Keywords: Supportive educative system, independence of foot care

Objectives: Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic inflammatory autoimmune disease. This study aimed to determine the association of interleukin-17A-197G/A polymorphism with rheumatoid arthritis in Sudanese patients. Methods: A case–control study was conducted between March and December 2018. Clinical and demographic data of the study participants were collected and analyzed. Polymerase chain reaction restriction fragment length polymorphism molecular technique was done to investigate interleukin-17A-197G/A polymorphisms. All statistical tests were considered statistically significant when p < 0.05. Results: The study population included 266 participants aged between 1 and 85 years, with an average of 40 years, classified into 85 (31.2%) cases (mean age 48.5 ± 11.3 years), and 181 (68.8%) controls (mean age 35.3 ± 15.9 years). The interleukin-17A homozygote AA genotype was more frequent among the control group compared to the case group; 95 (52.5%) and 7 (8.2%), respectively. The homozygote GG and the heterozygote AG genotypes were proportionally not different among the cases and control groups; 13 (54.2%) and 11 (45.8%), and 65 (46.4%) and 75 (53.6%), respectively. According to the distribution of interleukin-17A genotypes, a statistically significant difference was observed among cases with the interleukin-17A AA and AG genotypes, p values 0.001 and 0.004, respectively. For the association interleukin-17A genotypes and family history a negatively significant association was reported (95% confidence interval, –0.219, p value = 0.001). There was also a negatively significant association of interleukin-17A genotypes and anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide (95% confidence interval, −0.141, p value = 0.002). Conclusion: This study is the first study in Sudan established the association between interleukin-17A-197G/A (rs2275913) polymorphisms and susceptibly to rheumatoid arthritis. These findings appeal for further research in Sudan to investigate the exact role of IL-17A in immunopathology and disease severity among Sudanese rheumatoid arthritis

Diabetes mellitus is a disease that required good self-management. Noncompliance in diet and meal plans cause the instability of blood glucose levels. Nutrition education calendar method can improve knowledge and ability to consume food that matches the number, hours and types with dietary adjustments listed in the calendar diet. This study aimed to determine the effect of nutrition education calendar method on blood glucose levels of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in Community Health Center Pakis Malang. Pre-experimental design one group pretest-posttest with purposive sampling was conducted in this study and sample obtained as many as 21 people. Blood glucose levels were measured before and after the nutrition education calendar methods. Compliance in using calendar method with the observation sheet. Statistical analysis values obtained by Wilcoxon, the p-value of 0.007 (p <0.05). The results of the analysis, 16 respondents showed a decrease in blood glucose levels and 5 respondents experienced an increase in blood glucose levels after the given intervention. It can be concluded that there are differences between blood glucose levels before and after nutrition education calendar method. Differences in blood glucose levels can be influenced by controlling diet respondent in accordance with the calendar method in education, but also antidiabetic drugs, and sports. Should be added to the control group to determine objectively the effect of nutrition education on the calendar method.

ADHD is a condition common in children manifested with less concern , impulsive , and hiperaktifitas who do not according to the development of. The purpose of this study is to identify the effectiveness of write therapy and brain gym to the behavior of preschool hyperactivity in children with ADHD. Design research quasy-eksperiment approach in pre- posttest without control group design for 12 children aged pre schools were using total of sampling. This research instruments SPPAHI use of the instruments. Statistical tests use the different 2 mean. The results of the study showed there is a difference in the effectiveness of brain the gym and therapeutic writing in behavior hiperaktivitas children aged pre schools with ADHD ( p value 0,007 ).This research could be one of alternative intervention nursing mandiri that can be done to deal with the behavior hiperaktif children adhd good at the school and home.

Diabetes mellitus (DM) can cause physical and psychological changes for sufferers. Psychological changes include changes in self-concept and depression. Psychological changes can be treated with nonpharmacological therapies, one of which is five-finger relaxation technique. The research aimed to reveal the effect of five-finger relaxation technique on depression experienced by type 2 DM patients. The five-finger relaxation technique is one of the generalist relaxation techniques by recalling pleasant experiences. This research is a quasi-experiment. Samples of this research were 34 respondents whom were selected using purposive sampling.  The intervention was carried out once a day for 3 consecutive days.  In order to measure depression, a valid and reliable questionnaire of Indonesian version of the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) was employed.  Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Test and the Mann-Whitney Test. The results showed the was a decrease in depression in the control group (p-value of 0.008) and the intervention group (p-value of 0.000) and there were differences in depression in the control group and the intervention group (p-value of 0.000). It can be concluded that there is an effect of five-finger relaxation technique on depression in type 2 DM patients<em>.</em>

Background: Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic disease that requires treatment for long periods of time so it can cause physical and psychological problems for sufferers and families (caregiver). Caregiver's role is expected to provide support for people with diabetes mellitus. Family psychoeducation is a strategy that can be applied for caregiver in overcoming problems that arise during the treatment of patients with diabetes mellitus.Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of family psychoeducation on caregiver support in the treatment of patients with diabetes mellitus type II.Methods: This research used a quasi experiment with  pre-test post-test control group design. A total of 46 caregivers and patients with diabetes mellitus were recruited puposively, with 23 respondents assigned in the experiment and control group. Caregiver support scale was used to measure caregiver support, and Hensarling Diabetes Family Support Scale (HDFSS) for measuring perception of patients toward the treatment of caregiver.  Data were analyzed using paired t-test and independent t-test. Results: Findings showed there was an increase of caregiver knowledge from 5.39 to 9.09 and an improvement of caregiver treatment from 40.30 to 67.04 after given family psychoeducation. There was a significant difference of caregiver support in the experimental and control group with p-value <0.001 (<0.05).Conclusion: Family psychoeducation can increase caregiver support in the treatment of diabetes mellitus patients. The intervention can be one of nurses interventions in the empowerment of family in improving the treatment of chronic diseases, particularly in diabetes mellitus.

Pain in the labor are predisposition for anxiety, hyperventilation, thus causing oxygen requirements and increased blood pressure. Pain in the labor  can be reduced by non- pharmacological methods, one of which is using aromatherapy. Lavender as an aromatherapy effect relaxation, pain relief, reduces anxiety and causes calmness. The purpose of this research was to know the effect of lavender massage aromatherapy to the level of the first stage of labor pain in the active phase of first stage labor. The research design used quasi experiment with pre-test post-test with control group design. The population in this research that the whole maternal active phase of the first stage in BPM Blabak’s Community Health Center Kediri Regency. The research time is June 23 until July 19 sampling techniques. The research instrument used scale observation. Statistical tests in this study using the paired t test.The results showed t value (11,000) ; t table (2,262) and P value (0.000) ; α (0.05), then H0 is rejected, which means there is effect of lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) massage aromatherapy to the pain labor level of the active phase in the first stage of labor. So the conclusion of lavender massage aromatherapy down the level of pain  in the active phase of the first stage of labor.
