The research objective is to adapt and validate the VARK questionnaire on learning styles (Fleming, 2001, 2008) to the discipline of midwifery education in nursing – ME-VARK. The four major learning styles are: Visual, Auditory Read/write and Kinesthetic. From a sociological point of view, the working relationship between preceptor (midwife) and preceptee (student) contributes to the student's professional learning (self-efficacy in midwifery) and to the social formation of the students' identity as a midwifery practitioner. Therefore, matched learning styles between them are important for successful training, particularly in clinical practice. In order to construct the ME-VARK, following an in-depth literature review, and a documental analysis, a focus group and a Delphi procedure with in-depth literature review interviews were used to expose the subjective meanings of preceptorship relations as a social construct. Three expert-midwives that also were experienced preceptors participated in the focus group, and ten expert judges participated in six Delphi rounds (a total of 15 judgements). They were requested to propose items/responses relevant to midwifery education and then to validate the new ME-VARK. The results indicate that the chosen items are suitable to measure knowledge, competencies and learning styles in midwifery education. The adapted ME-VARK is relevant to midwifery education and encompasses the main labor stages, the central types of learning via preceptorship, and the essential topics in midwifery profession (exclusiveness). All items are relevant only to midwifery education (inclusiveness). The adapted ME-VARK was found to have all psychometric attributes: Content and construct validity, as well as face validity.

Entrepreneurship has been deliberated as multidimensional and multidisciplinary study. From the economic point of view entrepreneurship is the central force for economic development for any nation. Scholars and policy makers now have started to see entrepreneurship as panacea for inclusive growth. Entrepreneurships are most widely popular and discussed area. Study on small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) has been maturing for the last decade as it has been regarded as significant player for the social development along with the economic development. In Bangladesh, SMEs account for a large proportion of the total establishments in various sectors. Considering the importance of the SME sector in Bangladesh, this study intends to explore and sketch-out the landscape of current SME setting in Bangladesh. With this aim the study has extensively carried out literature review, observed and understood the secondary data obtained from various organizations, and finally presented a policy driven recommendation (micro and macro level) which would enable to develop the SME sector in a developing country like Bangladesh.

Background: The aim of the study is to create and validate a midwifery preceptor’s evaluation form to be used by midwifery students. The International Confederation of Midwives recommends that clinical placements need to be supervised by a preceptor in order to be efficient for students who, in this way, gain competence and proper practice within the midwifery practical area. Methods: This is an observational multi-center transversal study and leads to the validation of an evaluation questionnaire. Methodically, the following steps were followed: literature review, focus group with midwifery students, meeting between expert midwives, creation of the preceptor’s assessment form, filling in of the forms by midwifery students and expert midwives, and validation of the form. The study was carried out in eight Italian universities and included eighty-eight midwifery students and eight midwives. Results and Conclusion: A midwifery preceptor’s assessment questionnaire was created made up of four attribute areas which, as a total, included 33 items. Cronbach’s alpha score was calculated after examining the forms filled in by students and expert midwives. An alpha score of 0.97–0.85 was obtained. The result was Pearson Correlation Coefficient r = 0.78.

This article presents basic insights on the concept of identity unfolding the dichotomy of viewpoints on this social construct. The concept can be researched following logical, ontological, or epistemic perspectives. From the historic point of view identity retrieval was associated with the restructuration process of society that continued from the epochs of Renaissance and Enlightenment and has been emphasized in modern and postmodern changes. It should be noted that scientific debates highlight the dichotomy between two approaches to identity. The issue stands in regard to what degree and whether identities have been constructed by the individual who is independent to choose a set of identities (Kant) or the degree to which the identities have been determined culturally and individually (Hegel).The variety of notions has made a proposition that identity is interrelated with social interaction which highly influences individual’s conceptualization of selfness and otherness. Thus, the conclusion that identity is socially constructed can be drawn after thorough literature review. What is more, identity can be negotiated through interactions between individuals that result in identity change, determination, defense or maintenance. The multiplicity of scientific approaches to identity proves the importance and actuality of debates on identity issues involving different viewpoints and argumentation concerning issues in educational sciences.

The article carries out a systematic literature review on the social impact of research in all fields of study. To this end, this study has compiled the publications on the subject using the Web of Science database, and the most relevant terms have been mapped using the VOSviewer tool. The aim of the article is to advance and provide knowledge on the key aspects to be taken into account for research to generate social benefits and to analyse the main methods and instruments used to assess the social impact of research. At the same time, this article serves as a point of reflection to raise awareness, on a recent topic, of the limitations that arise in evaluation and research gaps that can be addressed in future research. This line of research has been in existence for just over 10 years. International programmes, such as Horizon Europe, highlight the impact channels and, in the field of social sciences, specific methodologies such as communicative communication are being developed. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study to analyse the subject from a global point of view, without specifying the field of study, providing a conceptual map of the subject.

Based on the provisions in the 1945 Constitution article 1 paragraph 3 which states the State of Indonesia is a state based on law, it brings the consequence that every government action must always be based on the law. From another point of view related to the development of the 21st century, the State is often said to have developed into a modern state. Whereas the state's tasks, which were initially very limited, have become increasingly widespread. This is due to the increasing needs of modern humans and especially those related to the interests of life together. Regarding the social dynamics that occur in the community, licensing arrangements are needed. A license as a one-sided government action is a stipulation arising from the strategies and techniques used by the Government to control or control various conditions or activities carried out by the community. In other words, licensing is very much needed as an instrument of community guidance. However, the author limits the scope of research on licensing only to the nature of the authority of the permit, so that the author's research in this article is done through a literature review.

The purpose of this research is to study the socially-oriented culture with the social or Banjarconvention that is connected with the theory of language politeness based on pragmaticscience. The problem in this research is how to form the politeness of speech acts convulsivelanguage in Banjar society in Sekumpul Village, Martapura. This study used qualitativemethod. The author took three steps of work, namely the stage of data collection, dataprocessing, and presentation of data analysis. Techniques used in data retrieval arerecording and documentation techniques. Data analysis method is a method of matching.Data analysis techniques are the basic techniques of dividing as a distinguishing reactionand hearing rate. The result of this division will be obtained by analytical unit according towhat is meant by theory in literature review. Theories that become data analysis based onpragmatic science point of view. Presentation of datais using ordinary words.Researchlocation was in Sakumpul Village, Banjar District, South Kalimantan Province. The studywas conducted from January--June 2016. The result of the research showed that the form ofconvivial speech acts convulsive in Banjar society in Sekumpul Subdistrict, Martapura,consisted of conventional speaking speech acts convention offers, approves, apologizes,praises, approves, invites, Say hello, and congratulate.

This article discusses the implied ‘vulgarity’ and playfulness of children's literature within the broader concept of the carnivalesque as defined by Mikhail Bakhtin in Rabelais and His World (1965) and further contextualised by John Stephens in Language and Ideology in Children's Fiction (1992). Carnivalesque adaptations of fairy tales are examined by situating them within Cristina Bacchilega's contemporary construct of the ‘fairy-tale web’, focusing on the arenas of parody and intertextuality for the purpose of detecting crucial changes in children's culture in relation to the social construct and ideology of adulthood from the Golden Age of children's literature onward. The analysis is primarily concerned with Roald Dahl's Revolting Rhymes (1982) and J. K. Rowling's The Tales of Beedle the Bard (2007/2008) as representative examples of the historically conditioned empowerment of the child consumer. Marked by ambivalent laughter, mockery and the degradation of ‘high culture’, the interrogative, subversive and ‘time out’ nature of the carnivalesque adaptations of fairy tales reveals the striking allure of contemporary children's culture, which not only accommodates children's needs and preferences, but also is evidently desirable to everybody.

This research deals with the development of  self concept of Hiroko as the main character in Namaku Hiroko by Nh. Dini and tries to identify how Hiroko is portrayed in the story, how she interacts with other characters and whether she is portrayed as a character dominated by ”I” element or  ”Me”  element seen  from sociological and cultural point of view. As a qualitative research in nature, the source of data in this research is the novel Namaku Hiroko (1967) and the data ara analyzed and presented deductively. The result of this analysis shows that in the novel, Hiroko as a fictional character is  portrayed as a girl whose personality  develops and changes drastically from ”Me”  to ”I”. When she was still in the village  l iving with her parents, she was portrayed as a obedient girl who was loyal to the parents, polite and acted in accordance with the social customs. In short, her personality was dominated by ”Me”  self concept. On the other hand, when she moved to the city (Kyoto), she was portrayed as a wild girl  no longer controlled by the social customs. She was  firm and determined totake decisions of  her won  for her future without considering what other people would say about her. She did not want to be treated as object. To put it in another way, her personality is more dominated by the ”I” self concept.

Quality of life and satisfaction with life as tightly interconnected concepts have become of much importance in the urbanism era. No doubt, it is one of the most important goals of every human society to enhance a citizen’s quality of life and to increase their satisfaction with life. However, there are many signs which demonstrate the low level of life satisfaction of Iranian citizens especially among the youth. Thus, considering the temporal concept of life satisfaction, this research aims to make a futures study in this field. Therefore, using a mixed model and employing research methods from futures studies, life satisfaction among the students of the University of Tehran were measured and their views on this subject investigated. Both quantitative and qualitative data were analysed together in order to test the hypotheses and to address the research questions on the youth discontentment with quality of life. Findings showed that the level of life satisfaction among students is relatively low and their image of the future is not positive and not optimistic. These views were elicited and discussed in the social, economic, political, environmental and technological perspectives. Keywords:  futures studies, quality of life, satisfaction with life, youth
