Wole Soyinka, best known as a Nigerian writer, playwright and Nobel laureate, has been a staunch supporter of the Nigerian cinema, and one of his plays, Death and the King’s horseman, is currently in the process of being adapted to the screen. He embodies the link between the Nigerian society, Yoruba culture and Nollywood.
