Background: Patients who will have cardiac catheterization mostly experience anxiety. Unresolved anxiety may have a harmful effect such as increasing frequency of heart, breathing and blood pressure as well as risks of complication. Music is considered effective in reducing anxiety.Objective: This study aims to examine the effect of Sundanese zither (kacapi) music therapy on anxiety level in pre-cardiac catheterization patients.Methods: This was a quasi-experimental study. Fifty-six respondents were selected using consecutive sampling technique, which 28 respondents assigned in the experiment group and control group. Anxiety was measured using Hamilton Anxiety rating Scale (HARS). Data were analyzed using Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney test.Results: The results showed an average decrease in anxiety value in the experiment group of 10.28, and in the control group of 3.25. Mann-Whitney test results obtained p value <0.001, which indicated that there was a significant difference of mean decrease between the experiment group and the control group.Conclusion: This study proves that the intervention of Sundanese kacapi music significantly decreasing anxiety levels (p <0.001) in pre-cardiac catheterization patients. It is suggested that Sundanese kacapi music can be used as an alternative therapy in the independent nursing interventions.

Background: Pregnancy increases the risk of developing anxiety that may affect the fetus. Yoga is considered as an alternative therapy to reduce anxiety, blood pressure, and fetal heart rate.Objective: This study aimed to examine the effect of prenatal yoga on anxiety, blood pressure, and fetal heart rate in primigravida mothers.Methods: There were 39 primigravida mothers selected using purposive sampling, which divided to be an experiment group with four-times prenatal yoga and eight-times prenatal yoga, and a control group. The Hamilton Rating Scale For Anxiety (HRSA) was used. Data were analyzed using One way ANOVA and MANOVA.Results: There was a statistically significant difference of prenatal yoga on anxiety (P=0.005), systolic blood pressure (P=0.045), and fetal heart rate (P=0.010). However, there was no significant difference of prenatal yoga on diastolic blood pressure with p-value 0.586 (>0.05)Conclusion: There were significant effects of prenatal yoga on anxiety level, systolic blood pressure, and the fetal heart rates in primigravida mothers. The findings of this study can be an alternative treatment for midwife to deal with anxiety during pregnancy, and an input on the class program of pregnant women to improve the quality of maternal and fetal health.

Hospitalizationis a process by which aplannedor emergency reasons, so the children had to be hospitalized can cause children to experience anxiety. To over come anxiety management can be given psychotherapy, one of which is with music therapy. The purpose ofthis study was todetermine the effect of music therapy to decrease anxiety levels pre- school children who experienced hospitalization in Hospital Jombang Chrysan the mum Pavilion. This study uses the approach Quasy Experiment pretest-posttestdesign with control group. With a total sample of 14 children (2 groups) using  purposive sampling technique. Data was collected through observation and then tabulated using data coding and tested using Mann Whitney and Wilcoxon with α = 0.05 significance level. The results  of the analysis wilcoxon obtained p valueof 0.015, p value;α (0.015 ;0.05) and Mann- Whitney obtained p valueof 0.007, p value<α (0.007;0.05). So there is the effect of music therapy on reducing anxiety levels preschoolers who experienced hospitalization in Hospital Jombang Chrysan the mum Pavilion. The conclusion that can bedrawn from this studyis the effect of music therapy on anxiety levels pre-school children who experienced hospitalization in Hospital Jombang Chrysan the mum Pavilion.

Background: Surgery is one of medical interventions which can cause fear, anxiety, and stressed because of its effects toward the integrity of body and soul. Nurses have significant roles in any preoperative care which is helping patients to decrease preoperative anxiety by using complementary therapy. The use of music therapy as one of the complementary therapies is not common in Indonesia. Therefore, scientific studies to prove the role of this therapy to decrease the level of anxiety of pre-operative patients is needed. Objective: To investigate the effects of music therapy in reducing anxiety levels of preoperative patients. Methods: A quasy experimental study with pre-test and post-test design with control group was applied to 50 respondents from medical ward in Panembahan Senopati Hospital of Yogyakarta who met the inclusion criteria.Dara were then analyzed by using t-test statistical analysis. Results: The control group showed the increased value of anxiety level of0.8 without music intervention (t= - 1503, df = 24, p<.05), whereas the intervention group showed the decreased value of anxiety level of -5.52 (t=5.081, df=24, p<.05). Meanwhile the independent t-test results for both groups showed a significant difference between group (t= 3,373, df=48, p<.05). Conclusion: Music therapy has significant effect in reducing preoperative anxiety levels of patients. Keywords: anxiety, preoperative, music therapy

<p><span>Baby Massage and Spa was a traditional effort that uses a holistic approach through comprehensive care using a combination of massage and water therapy methods that are carried out in an integrated manner to balance the body, mind, and feelings. Age 3-6 months is the right time for babies to do massage and spa. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of baby massage and spa on the growth of infants aged 3-5 months in Pringsewu District in 2018. This study uses a quasi-experimental approach with research design pre and post-test with control group design. The purposive sampling technique was taken with a sample of 30 infants as the intervention group and 30 infants as the control group. Data were processed using computerization and analyzed using the T-Test. The results showed that there were significant differences between body weight, body length and baby head circumference in the pre and post-treatment. There was no significant difference in the average increase in infant weight between babies who were carried out by baby massage and spa with babies who were not carried out by baby massage and spa with p-value 0.116. There is a significant difference in the baby's body length and head circumference performed by baby massage and spa with those not carried out by baby massage and spa with p-value 0.000. Baby Massage and Spa has a significant effect on increasing the growth of babies aged 3-5 months.</span></p><p><span> </span></p>

Background: Autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder. Audio therapy is considered as one of the complementary therapies to improve the behavior of children with autism.Objective: This study was to analysis the effectiveness of the Al-Qur'an murrotal audio therapy on behavioral development in children with autism.Methods: This study was a true-experimental research using pretest and posttest approach with control group. This research was conducted on November 2016 in the Autism Foundation of Semarang City. There were 30 samples were selected using simple random sampling, with 15 samples assigned in the experiment and control group. Mann Whitney and Wilcoxon tests were used for data analysis in this study.Results: Results showed that there was a significant difference in the mean of behavioral development after given intervention between the experiment group and control group with p-value 0.034 (<0.05). The mean of behavioral development in the experiment group (4.53) was higher than the mean in the control group (3.47).Conclusion: The Al-Qur'an murrotal audio therapy is effective to develop behavior of children with autism. Therefore, it is expected that this audio therapy can be applied an alternative therapy for children with autism.

Anemia is one of the public health problems that need more attention of the female because they experience menstruation and they are in the growth phase. From the data of Semarang City Health Office  in 2011, it is shown the incidence of anemia in adolescents aged 10-19 years old are 68.24%. The prevention effort of the case is by measuring hemoglobin and prescribing blood supplement. The objective of the study is to find out the effect of Fe tablets on Hemoglobin in Semarang Merchant Marine Polytechnique students. The objective of the study is to find out the effect of Fe tablets on Hemoglobin in Semarang Merchant Marine Polytechnique students. This research used pre-experimental design with the two group pretest posttest. The population in this Study were all Merchant Marine Polytechnique Semarang at the 4th semester of female students  amounting to 50 with the total respondents 34 respondents taken with purposive sampling technique. The data were collected by performing Hemoglobin examination. The results of the study show that the average Hemoglobin before being prescribed Fe on the intervention and control group was 11.29 g/dl. After being prescribed Fe to the intervention group, it is found the average increased to 13.69 g/dl, while in the control group it is found averaged 11.72 g/dl. Bivariate Analysis uses an independent t test, the value of t is 6.136 with a p-value of   0.000. It shows that the p-value is 0,000 <((0.05), this indicates that there is a significant difference in the decrease in Hemoglobin levels in the population after being prescribed blood supplement between the intervention and control groups in The Semarang Merchant Marine Politechnique Students. It is suggested that the female adolescents to consume more iron-containing foods or consume Fe supplements such as Fe, during menstruation. ABSTRAK  Anemia merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang perlu khusus nya pada remaja  putri yang perlu mendapatkan perhatian khusus karena remaja putri mengalami mestruasi tiap bulan dan dalam masa pertumbuhan . Hasil Data Dinas Kesehatan Kota Semarang tahun 2011.  Kejadian anemia pada remaja usia 10-19 sebanyak 68,24%. Untuk menangani masalah tersebut pencegahan yang dilakukan yaitu dengan cara mengukur hemoglobin dan pemberian suplemen tablet tambah darah . Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat Pengaruh Pemberian Tablet Fe Terhadap Hemoglobin Pada Taruni Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat Pengaruh Pemberian Tablet Fe Terhadap Hemoglobin Pada Taruni Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan  pre-eksperimen design dengan rancangan Two group pretest posttest. Populasi dalam penelitian iniadalah seluruh taruni politeknik ilmu pelayaran semarang semester 4 berjumlah 50 taruni dengan jumlah sempel 34 responden dengan tehnik pengambilan sempel purposive sampling. Pengambilan data dengan melakukan pemeriksaan Hemoglobin.  Penelitian menunjukan bahwa rata-rata Hemoglobin sebelum diberikan pada taruni kelompok intervensi  dan  kontrol sama yaitu  11,29 g/dl.  Dan setelah diberikan pada kelompok intervensi  rata-rata meningkat menjadi 13,69 g/dl, sedangkan  kelompok kontrol rata-rata sebesar 11,72 g/dl. Analisis bivariate Menggunakan uji t independen, didapatkan nilai t hitung 6,136 dengan p-value sebesar 0,000. Terlihat bahwa p-value 0,000 <a (0,05), ini menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan secara signifikan penurunan (selisih) kadar Hemoglobin b pada taruni sesudah diberikan tablet penambah darah antara kelompok intervensi dan kontrol pada taruni Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang.  Hendaknya bagi remaja putri lebih banyak mengomsumsi makanan yang mengandung zat besi atau mengomsumsi suplemen yang mengandung besi seperti Fe terutama saat mestruasi

<p>Smoking habits are common in schizophrenic patients. Nicotine can suppress negative symptoms and cognitive impairments. The aim of this study was to determine the efficacy of bupropion on cognitive function in schizophrenic patients.<strong> </strong>This study is a double blind randomized controlled trial in a large referral psychiatric university hospital in Iran. Ninety smoker schizophrenic patients were randomly allocated (based on DSM -IV TR criteria) in two groups (46 patients for case group and 44 patients in control group). They get risperidone up to 6 mg/d and bupropion up to 400 mg/d .clinical assessment (Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS), Brief psychiatric rating scale (BPRS) were taken in beginning of study, 14<sup>th</sup> and 28<sup>th</sup> days of study. Cognitive assessment (Stroop, Digit Span, and Wechsler, Wisconsin) were taken in begging of study, the days 2<sup>nd</sup>, 7<sup>th</sup>, 14<sup>th</sup>, 28<sup>th</sup>. All data were analyzed by SPSS Ver. 17 with analytic and descriptive tests. Mean age of patients was 37.66±1.01. Mean duration of disorder was 11.63±.98 years. The scores were significantly lower at the day 28<sup>th</sup> compared to the beginning of the study in both groups in Wechsler, Stroop color word , Stroop word , Stroop color , BPRS, PANSS p value ≤0.05 .The difference between the two treatments was not significant as indicated by the effect of group, the between-subjects factor<strong> </strong><strong>p </strong>value ≥0.05. In this study, the side effects were examined and there was no significant difference between the two groups p value ≥0.05.<strong> </strong>Augmentation of bupropion to routine treatment improves cognitive symptoms of schizophrenia in abstinence of tobacco.</p>

Abstract Background: Cancer patients with chemotherapy experience fatigue as cancer effects and cell destruction due to the toxicity of chemotherapy drugs. Objective: Determine the effectiveness of relaxation breathing exercises to fatigue cancer patients who undergoing chemotherapy. Methode: This research used quasi experiment pretest and posttest method. There were 92 respondents who examined using purposive sampling technique and divided into 46 respondents as intervention group and 46 respondents as control group. Relaxation breathing exercise was given four weeks for intervention group on April-July 2018 in Siloam Hospital Manado. Result: The majority of cancer patients were age 45-65 years 69,9%, 54,3% were diagnosed cancer ≤1 year and 79,3% received combination chemotherapy. The result of Wilcoxon test revealed there was significant difference before and after intervention to fatigue (p value = 0,00), with mean rank of reduction 21,97% on fatigue. The result of Mann Whitney test revealed that there was significant difference in fatigue between intervention and control groups (p value = 0,00). Multivariate logistic regression revealed that there was an effect of relaxation breathing exercise on fatigue (p value = 0,00) and relaxation breathing exercise may reduce 60,46 times of fatigue on patients who undergoing chemotherapy. Conclusion: Relaxation Breathing Exercise can reduce fatigue in cancer patients who undergoing chemotherapy in Siloam Hospital Manado. It is recommended to perform relaxation breathing exercise as a routine exercise for cancer patients during chemotherapy to minimize fatigue. Nursing education system in Indonesia based on the competency-based curriculum is learning experiences that require nursing students to study both in campus and in health services areas. It can cause anxiety to the students. If a student experiences an ongoing increase in anxiety, it can cause negative effects so that students' learning motivation becomes decreased. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of mandala pattern coloring activity on the level of anxiety among nursing students in Dirgahayu Nursing Academy, Samarinda. This study was pre-experiment research with one group pre-test and post-test design. The population of this study was students in Dirgahayu Nursing Academy, Samarinda and the sample was students in 4th semester. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling. Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety (HARS) was applied to measure anxiety level. Data were analyzed by using paired-samples t-test. The results of data analysis using Microsoft Excel 2010 with t-test formula showed p value: 0.004, indicating a significant difference in anxiety level before and after the mandala pattern coloring activity. Mandala pattern coloring activities can be used as an appropriate activity to reduce anxiety..

Efforts to improve caregiver’s knowledge on hallucination is by providing an education the caregivers. Enhancing such knowledge can be carried out by different methods, include lecture and watching video methods. The purpose of the present research was to compare the effectiveness of lecture  and watching video method in enhancing caregiver’s knowledge on hallucination.          The research used a quasi-experiment method with a pretest and posttest group design, with the research sample was 60. The sampling technique used was a total sampling. The scores of caregiver’s knowledge were determined by a questionnaire of knowledge on hallucination that was self-developed by validity test (0.707) and reliability test (0.968). The data obtained was then tested by using Independent Sample T-test, Mann-Whitney test, and Wilcoxon test.          The result of pretest of caregiver’s knowledge before the intervention showed that there was no difference between intervention and control group (p-value=0.624), while result of posttest of caregiver’s knowledge after the intervention showed that there was a significant difference between lecture group and video group (p-value=0.000). The research findings revealed that there was a significant increase in the scores of knowledge for both methods (p-value=0.000), but the increase of video group’s knowledge score was higher (4.23) than that of lecture group (2.57).          The conclusion of the research was that wathing video method was more effective than lecture method in enhancing caregiver’s knowledge so that video can be used as an alternative method for mental health education.
