During the past decade, gas explosions have been one of the most serious types of disasters in China, threatening the lives of miners and causing significant losses in terms of national property. This article, by constructing the fuzzy fault tree model of gas explosion on the coalface and heading face, deduces the minimum cut sets and minimum path of the fault tree, analyzes the importance of the fault tree structure, and obtains the ratio of gas explosion. The results show that the isolation of gas and heat sources is the most effective way to prevent gas explosion. In addition, a close detection of gas concentration and appropriate treatment can also avoid explosive accidents by reducing the ratio of explosion to below 0.059%, which is the critical value of explosion. The probability of gas explosion occurred in coal working face is about 0%–2.055%, and the most likely probability is 0.059%. However, the probability of gas explosion occurred in heading face is about 0%–8.543%, and the most probability likely to occur is 0.772% which is larger than that in coal working face. The fuzzy fault tree can not only be applied in the analysis of the coal mining gas explosion, but it also provides the theoretical basis for the precaution and prevention of coal mining accidents.

According to the gas explosion theory and the investigation of occurred gas explosion, the basic events that lead to coal mine gas explosion are summarized and the fault tree is worked out. Besides, the fault tree analysis is used for qualitative analysis. The minimal cuts sets, minimal path sets and structure importance are solved. Accordingly, the reasons of gas explosion are obtained, which can provide references for the prevention of coal mine gas explosion. The study showed that: the minimal cut sets of gas explosion is much(165) and the minimal path sets is small(4), and it is the major dangerous and harmful factors in coal mine. It that gas concentration must be strictly controlled and all sources of ignition should be eliminated is the basic and fundamental way to prevent mine gas explosion.

Wireless communications became one of the most widespread means for transferring information. Speed and reliability in transferring the piece of information are considered one of the most important requirements in communication systems in general. Moreover, Quality and reliability in any system are considered the most important criterion of the efficiency of this system in doing the task it is designed to do and its ability for satisfactory performance for a certain period of time, Therefore, we need fault tree analysis in these systems in order to determine how to detect an error or defect when happening in communication system and what are the possibilities that make this error happens. This research deals with studying TETRA system components, studying the physical layer in theory and practice, as well as studying fault tree analysis in this system, and later benefit from this study in proposing improvements to the structure of the system, which led to improve gain in Link Budget. A simulation and test have been done using MATLAB, where simulation results have shown that the built fault tree is able to detect the system’s work by 82.4%.
