Analyzing the significance and the role of school and teachers in the encouragement of prosocial behaviour of the learners in secondary schools, the following problem appeared: the connection between the teachers’ encouragement of prosocial behaviour and the academic achievement in the secondary schools in Serbia through the following segments: procedures and activities used by teachers, and the interrelatedness of prosocial behaviour and academic achievement. A review of theoretical findings and a study conducted on the sample of 695 respondents are presented. The method of theoretical analysis and synthesis, the causal non-experimental method and the descriptive method are applied. The applied techniques include content analysis, scaling and evaluation. The results showed that teachers’ activities partly promoted prosocial behaviour. The results of the research pointed to certain pedagogical implications: the reform of the educational system in Serbia; a change of educational objectives and tasks; establishing a continuity between all levels of the educational system and raising cooperation with parents; educational professional services to teachers in the area of raising their interest in acquiring and applying strategies and skills directed at educating prosocially oriented personalities and improving the quality of their work. (1) Background: Academic engagement has been reported in the literature as an important factor in the academic achievement of university students. Other factors such as emotional intelligence (EI) and resilience have also been related to students’ performance and quality of life. The present study has two clearly delimited and interrelated objectives. First, to study the mediational role that engagement plays in the relationship between EI and resilience on quality of life. Secondly, and similarly, to study the mediational role of engagement in the relationship between EI and resilience, but in this case on academic achievement. (2) Methods: For this purpose, four scales frequently used in the literature to measure emotional intelligence, resilience, academic engagement and quality of life were administered to 427 students of the University of Jaén undertaking education degrees. In addition, students were asked to indicate their current average mark as a measure of academic performance. Two mediational models based on structural equations were proposed to analyse the relationships between the proposed variables. (3) Results: The results obtained showed that emotional intelligence and resilience directly predicted students’ life satisfaction, but this direct relationship did not result in academic performance. In addition, and assuming a finding not found so far, engagement was shown to exert an indirect mediational role for both life satisfaction and academic performance of students. (4) Conclusions: The findings of the study support the importance of engagement in the design and development of instructional processes, as well as in the implementation of any initiative.

The main purpose of the study is to evaluate the teacher’s perception towards slow learners academic achievement and role of guidance services at secondary school levels in district Peshawar. This was a Mixed Method research. Data was collected through administering especially designed questionnaire and used conveniently sample designed for selection of 200 Public and Private secondary schools Teachers/Head Masters, both male and female. Teachers/Head Masters were also asked to write suggestions for the improvement. It is found that positive teacher-student relation is necessary for the academic achievement of the students, especially the slow learners. Most of the teachers agreed that they take interest in the academics of their students and that they know how to teach their subject in a better way. Majority of the teachers responded positively that they can motivate the students for learning and that students feel comfortable in their class and they take feedback during the lesson. Student’s opinion is also taken and it is found that most of the students are satisfied with teaching method of the teachers. Teachers suggested that the strength of the class should be less, so that they could give full attention to each and every student. Majority of the teachers/head masters of secondary schools in district Peshawar reported ease of use of guidance and counseling services in their schools. It is also observed that the students have a complex of problems, domestic, personal, psychological, schools related and home centered etc. However, guidance and counseling need in a school required further investigation. The focal strength of character of the study was also exploring guidance services in the secondary schools. The applied significance of this study is to help policy maker in education institution to take care of the suggestion and perception of the teachers regarding slow learners academic achievement. This study will help in making strategies for quality education at secondary levels schools in Pakistan and provide suggestions to overcome the environmental issues and make improvement

The dual-role of the students of English Education Department Teacher Training and Education Faculty Muria Kudus University as both English language learners and language users gets them to be autonomous, effective, efficient, and strategic readers. The objective of this research is to investigate the relationship between quality of the reading strategy and academic achievement of the students. The subjects of this research were 104 students of EED UMK comprising of all semesters taken randomly. The instrument used was closed-ended questionnaire. The result of this research reveals that there is no relationship between quality of the reading strategy and academic achievement, meaning that the quality of reading strategy does not influence the academic achievement of the students. Implikasions and recommendations for the institution and for further research were proposed.

The principal is a leader in educational institutions that regulates and manages educational activities in schools. Therefore, school principals play an important role in improving the quality of education, especially improving teacher performance to be more enthusiastic and professional in teaching and developing themselves who are in charge of delivering lessons to students. This study aims to identify the role of principal supervision as an effort to improve teacher professionalism in teaching at SMA Negeri 10 OKU.This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 10 OKU. The research was carried out for 3 (three) months, starting from September 2020 to November 2020. The research method used was a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques used include: (1) Interview or Interview; (2) Observation; (3) Documentation. Based on the research results, it was concluded that the principal had a role in the supervision carried out as an effort to improve teacher professionalism in teaching. It is known: (1) The role of principal supervision is evidenced by the teacher in planning lesson plans which are made reported and approved by the principal and according to the curriculum; (2) The role of principal supervision is proven by the teacher in carrying out the learning process in accordance with the learning device guidelines and using teaching aids; (3) The role of principal supervision is evidenced by the teacher evaluating the learning outcomes and reporting to the principal; (4) The role of principal supervision is evidenced by the teacher following up on the learning outcomes in accordance with the direction of the principal; (5) The role of principal supervision is evidenced by the teacher providing guidance to students.

Choosing an educational system for a disabled child already at the stage of pre-school education is a difficult and stressful experience for parents, which regardless of the final decision, raises many doubts. Certain questions arise: ‘where there is a place in the education system for the child with a disability certificate?’, ‘where the child can develop best?’, but also ‘where the child simply feels happy and does not experience exclusion?’. Many things depend on the level of the child’s disability, on key choices made by parents, and on the quality of cooperation, both in the three-way parent-therapist-child relationship, but also in the two-way parent-child and therapist-child relationships. Parents more and more often make decisions about inclusive education, where a child can develop amongst non-disabled peers. This article focuses primarily on the role of parents and therapists in the process of including a disabled child in the education system, the potential of cooperation, but also the fears, difficulties and expectations accompanying both sides.

This research and development aims to determine the feasibility level of module learning media of grinding theory and to determine the effectiveness of basic grinding theory to the academic achievement of class XI students in the machining study program. The research methods is quantitative descriptive method. The results   validates the use of grinding theory module in learning activities. The average percentage from the quality of content, instructional and technical, is 91,25%. The effectiveness of basic grinding theory module can be seen from the improvement of students’ marks of 97.28% in average. The increase in the active participation is 33.3%.Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan media pembelajaran modul teori pemesinan gerinda dan mengetahui tingkat efektivitas modul teori pemesinan gerinda terhadap hasil belajar siswa teknik pemesinan kelas XI SMK Muhammadiyah Prambanan. Penelitian ini menggunakan langkah Research and Development dan metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil pada penelitian ini adalah media pembelajaran modul teori pemesinan gerinda dinyatakan layak digunakan untuk kegiatan pembelajaran dengan rerata persentase kelayakan kualitas isi, instruksional, dan teknis sebesar 91,25%. Efektivitas media pembelajaran modul Teori Gerinda Dasar dapat dilihat dari peningkatan rerata hasil belajar sebesar 97,28% dan peningkatan partisipasi aktif sebesar 33,3%.

Tujuan penelitian mengungkapkan konsep pelayanan prima, rancangan pemberian pelayanan, dan bentuk pelayanan KBIH Maqdis terhadap jamaah dalam meningkatkan kualitas bimbingan ibadah haji. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Adapun langkah-langkah penelitian yang ditempuh; penentuan lokasi penelitian, pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, studi kepustakaan,  dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa konsep pelayanan prima KBIH Maqdis dalam meningkatkan kualitas bimbingan ibadah haji dilihat dari konsep pelayanan prima yang diterapkan KBIH Maqdis meliputi: kemampuan, sikap, penampilan, perhatian, tindakan dan tanggungjawab. Kemudian rancangan pemberian pelayanan prima KBIH Maqdis diantaranya: regulasi layanan, fasilitas layanan, peranan tim pengarah dan budaya pemberian pelayanan. Selain itu bentuk layanan KBIH Maqdis terhadap jamaah dalam meningkatkan kualitas bimbingan ibadah haji diantaranya KBIH Maqdis menyediakan pembimbing haji yang profesional dan materi bimbingan ibadah haji. The purpose of this study is to determine the concept of excellent service, the design of service delivery, and the form of KBIH Maqdis service to the congregation in improving the quality of pilgrimage guidance. The method used in this research is descriptive method with qualitative approach. The research steps taken; determination of research location, data collection by using observation technique, interview, literature study, further documentation of data analysis by means of data reduction, data classification and drawing conclusion. From the result of the research, it is concluded that the concept of excellent service of KBIH Maqdis in improving the quality of Hajj guidance from the concept of excellent service applied by KBIH Maqdis include: ability, attitude, appearance, attention, action and responsibility. Then the design of service delivery prime KBIH Maqdis include: service regulation, service facility, role of steering team and culture of service delivery. In addition, the form of KBIH Maqdis service to pilgrims in improving the quality of haj pilgrimage services such as KBIH Maqdis provides professional hajj guide and pilgrimage guidance material.

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran objektif dan komprehensif tentang proses perekrutan pengawas pendidikan dan peran pengawas pendidikan, serta mengetahui faktor-faktor penghambat dan pendukung peran pengawas untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan SMP di Kabupaten Bima Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumen. Tahapan analisis data menggunakan model interaktif dan analisis komponensial. Hasil penelitian menemukan: (1) proses perekrutan pengawas pendidikan belum sepenuhnya sesuai dengan peraturan pemerintah dan undang-undang. (2) pemantauan pelaksanaan program sekolah yang dilakukan pengawas pendidikan belum terlaksana dengan optimal. (3) supervisi yang dilakukan pengawas pendidikan belum terlaksana dengan optimal. (4) evaluasi program kerja sekolah yang dilakukan pengawas pendidikan sudah terlaksana dengan baik. (5) pembuatan laporan hasil pemantauan, supervisi, dan evaluasi yang dilakukan pengawas pendidikan terlaksana dengan baik. (6) Tindak lanjut yang dilakukan pengawas pendidikan belum optimal. Selanjutnya yang menjadi (7) faktor penghambat adalah: (a) letak geografis, (b) akses jalan, (c) fasilitas, (d) penguasaan teknologi, (e) sumber daya manusia; dan (8) faktor pendukung adalah: (a) dana operasional tambahan dari Pemerintah Daerah, (b) ketersediaan motor dinas, (d) pelatihan, (e) keterlibatan masyarakat, (f) tempat domisili pengawas pendidikan, (g) siswa, (h) semangat dalam diri pengawas pendidikan.Kata kunci: pengawas pendidikan, mutu pendidikan, Kabupaten BimaTHE ROLE OF EDUCATIONAL SUPERVISOR IN IMPROVING EDUCATION QUALITY OF SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN BIMA, WEST NUSA TENGGARA PROVINCEAbstractThis study aims to analyze and obtain comprehensive and objective description of recruiting process of educational supervisor, the role of educational supervisor, also to know the obstacles and supporting factors of educational supervisor roles to improve the education quality of secondary schools in Bima, West Nusa Tenggara. This is a qualitative approach with case study method. The data were collected through interviews, observation and document study. The phase of data analysis used by interactive model and componential analysis. The results showed: 1) the recruitment process of educational supervisor in Bima was not based on goverment rules and law. 2) monitoring of scholl programmes implementation by educational supervisor ran less optimal. 3) supervising by educational supervisor ran less optimal. 4) evaluating of school programmes undertaken by educational supervisor has ran well. 5) reporting about the results of monitoring, supervising, and evaluating, was done well. 6) the follow up of the results of supervision was not optimal. 7) some obstacles factors are: a) geographical area, b) highway access, c) facilities, d) mastery of information and technology, e) human resources. Then, some supporting factors are: a) operational funds form local government, b) vehicle, c) coaching, d) the involvement of communities, e) educational supervisor domicile, e) students, f) spirit of the educational supervisor itself.Keywords: Educational supervisor, education quality, Bima

The aim of the current study is to determine the use of innovations and technology in education and its impact on the academic performing of teaching staff before service. The study sample was composed of (60) pre-service teachers of middle- and secondary schools randomly selected. The study adopted the descriptive method; a survey and observation cards tool for achieving the study goals. The study concluded that in educational training schools the availability of innovations and educational technology techniques was poor. It also demonstrated that there are challenges for student teachers to use innovations and techniques of educational technology

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran (Wilayah pengaruh), peran pimpinan dalam mengarahkan program, serta peran pimpinan dalam mengawasi program kegiatan untuk meningkatkan kualitas dakwah santri di Pondok Pesantren Cipari. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan metode deskriptif, melalui pendekatan kualitatif. Peran pimpinan Pondok Pesantren Cipari dalam mengarahkan proses pendidikan guna meningkatkan kualitas dakwah santri terus dikembangkan, hal tersebut terlihat dari terus berjalannya kegiatan-kegiatan para santri untuk menunjang kemampuan dalam berdakwah dan hal tersebut tercermin dalam salah-satu kegiatan pondok pesantren yaitu muhadharah yang rutin dijalankan setiap minggunya. Peran pimpinan Pondok Pesantren Cipari dalam mengarahkan program terlihat pada proses pengorganisasian yang menghasilkan sebuah rumusan struktur organisasi dan pendelegasian wewenang dan tanggung jawab, pola yang dibangun sangat khas, musyawarah untuk mufakat selain pemimpin pun menjalankan fungsinya sebagai penentu kebijakan. Proses pengawasan yang biasa dilakukan di Pondok Pesantren Cipari dengan mengambil jalannya pelaksanaan kegiatan, mengukur keberhasilan dan kegagalannya dengan standar sebagaimana yang telah di tetapkan. The purpose of this research is to know the role (the region of influence), the role of leadership in directing the program, and the role of the leader in supervising the program of activities to improve the quality of preaching santri in Pondok Pesantren Cipari. The method used in this research is to use descriptive method, through qualitative approach The role of the leadership of Pondok Pesantren Cipari in directing the process of education in order to improve the quality of da'wah santri continues to be developed, it can be seen from the continuous activities of the santri to support the ability in da'wah and it is reflected in one of the activities of boarding school that is muhadharah routinely run every week. The role of the leadership of Pondok Pesantren Cipari in directing the program is seen in the organizing process which resulted in a formulation of organizational structure and delegation of authority and responsibility, a pattern that is built very distinctive, deliberation to consensus other than the leader also performs its function as a policy maker. The usual surveillance process at Pondok Pesantren Cipari by taking the course of the implementation of the activity, measuring its success and failure with the standard as it has been set.
