INTRODUCCIÓN. En varios estudios se ha desvelado que las relaciones entre humanos y animales pueden jugar un papel importante en el desarrollo socioemocional de los niños OBJETIVO. El presente estudio pretende identificar la relación existente entre la variable dependiente empatía y las variables independientes actitudes hacia las mascotas, trato hacia las mascotas y tener o no tener mascota, en un grupo de preadolescentes. MÉTODO. Se presenta un estudio de tipo ex post facto. Se han aplicado tres cuestionarios: El Interpersonal Reactivity Index en su versión castellanizada, El Pet Attitude Scale - Modified y El Children´s Treatment of Animals Questionnaire. RESULTADOS. Hemos constatado que existen relaciones de covariación entre algunas de las variables estudiadas lo que nos ha permitido proponer una serie de cuatro modelos causales y decidir cuál de ellos obtiene los mejores indicadores de bondad de ajuste. DISCUSIÓN Y CONCLUSIONES. El contacto con animales en el hogar ejerce influencia sobre el desarrollo de la empatía en los niños.

An ex-post-facto exploratory study was conducted to assess the attitude of dairy farmers towards cultivation of green fodder crops and constraints faced by them for fodder cultivation in Bidar district of Karnataka, India using an attitude scale through personal interview method. The study reported that majority of the respondents had medium level of favorable attitude towards green fodder cultivation and the variables education and scientific orientation of the farmers was found to be significantly correlated with attitude towards green fodder cultivation. The respondents perceived that non-availability of inputs and scarcity of water was the major constraints for cultivation of fodder in the study area. The study concluded that, there is a need to educate the farmers about green fodder cultivation and feeding through various extension approaches for improved dairy production in the study area.

We explored the extent of approval/disapproval of dogfighting and cockfighting in 206 community college students with 97.1% disapproving of dogfighting and 93.8% disapproving of cockfighting. Disapproval of dogfighting was associated with higher scores on the Pet Attitude Scale (Templer, Salter, Dickey, Baldwin, & Veleber, 1981), scoring in the continuous rather than dichotomous direction on the Animal-Human Continuity Scale (Templer, Connelly, Bassman, & Hart, 2006), and high scoring in empathy toward humans on the Interpersonal Reactivity Index (Davis, 1980). Disapproval of cockfighting was associated with women. Despite the finding of an extremely high percentage of disapproval of dogfighting and cockfighting, continued educational programs and preventive efforts are recommended to achieve our aim, which is zero dogfighting and cockfighting.

Abstract OBJECTIVE To determine the Melilla Hospital Nursing Department’s attitude towards Moroccan patients. METHOD Descriptive ex post facto study. A questionnaire has been handed over to staff, on the Immigration Attitude Scale for Nursing. RESULTS In general, nurses exhibit negative attitudes towards Moroccan patients, such as: the increase in crime is caused by the arrival of immigrants, those who commit offenses must be expelled from Spain, they take advantage of the Spanish health system and too many resources are devoted to immigration. The worst-rated immigrants are the Moroccans, considering that they do not pay much attention to their personal hygiene and do not adapt to their host countries. CONCLUSION It is necessary to work with the nursing staff to change these attitudes. Future degree students must be trained in cultural skills and the care of immigrants will improve with a greater commitment towards cultural differences.

Although a very small group of adolescents adjudicated for sexual offending (ASO) will persist into adulthood, the use of official records of sexual recidivism after long-term follow-up periods underrates the repetition of sexually coercive behaviors during adolescence. Additionally, limited research has considered sexual reoffending as a criterion to classify this heterogeneous population. The aims of this study were to determine the prevalence of ASO who engaged in repetitive sexual offending before their adjudication, and to use it as a classification criterion to examine the differential characteristics associated with each group. A sample of 73 adjudicated ASO in Spain was examined. They were divided into sexual reoffenders (SR) ( n = 34) and sexual nonreoffenders (SNR) ( n = 39). An ex post facto research design was carried out. Assessments included reviews of official files, interviews with professionals in charge, and interviews with the ASO in which the Interpersonal Reactivity Index (IRI) was administered. Descriptive analyses were conducted for all variables and Odds Ratio ( OR) was used to compare intergroup differences. Results showed that SR had 12.95 times the odds of sexual victimization, 6.91 times the odds of having lived in a sexualized family environment, and 3 times the odds of bullying victimization. Deviant sexual fantasies were exclusively present among SR (44%). Significant differences between groups were also found in some sexual crime variables but not on the empathy scale. These results have implications for the distinction between ASO who have repeatedly engaged in sexually coercive behavior and those who engaged in a single event of sexual offending. The identification of specific risk factors and criminogenic needs for each group would benefit court decisions and more tailored interventions.

Kutatásunk célja az SPSI—A (Social Problem Solving Inventory—Adolescent, Frauenknecht és Black, 2010) adaptálása volt 12 és 16 évesek körében (N=540). A kérdőív konvergens és diszkriminatív validitásának vizsgálatához az SPSI—R-t (Social Problem Solving Inventory—Revised, D’Zurilla és mtsai, 2002), a Davis által kidolgozott empátiakérdőívet (Interpersonal Reactivity Index, 1980), valamint a Spielberger- féle vonás - és állapotszorongást mérő kérdőívet (State-Trait Anxiety Inventory for Children, Spielberger és mtsai, 1973) használtuk. Az eredeti kérdőív 10 faktoros, 64 kijelentésből áll. A feltáró és a megerősítő faktorelemzés eredményei alapján a magyar változat — SPSI—A(H) – 54 tételt tartalmaz, melyek 11 faktorba csoportosulnak (az eredeti Gondolatok faktor kijelentései elkülönülnek a Pozitív gondolatok és a Negatív gondolatok faktorba). A kérdőív mind a 12, mind a 16 évesek mintáján jó megbízhatósággal (a Cronbach-α sorrendben 0,81 és 0,83) mér. Az eredmények alapján az SPSI—A(H)-t alkalmasnak tartjuk a problémamegoldással kapcsolatos automatikus gondolatok, a problémamegoldáshoz való érzelmi, gondolati viszonyulás, az elkerülés, a probléma meghatározása, a célmeghatározás, az alternatív megoldási módok keresése, a következmények végiggondolása, illetve a nem megfelelő megoldás esetében a gondolatok, teendők újraszervezése és az utólagos kiértékelés mérésére.

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bahwa motivasi, sikap, minat, dan gaya belajar statistik matematika mahasiswa secara bersama-sama berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan menganalisis persoalan penelitian; dan motivasi, sikap, minat, dan gaya belajar statistik matematika mahasiswa masing-masing berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan menganalisis persoalan penelitian. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode ex post facto dengan desain korelasional. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Universitas Dayanu Ikhsanuddin Baubau pada Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika yang pelaksanaannya pada semester Gasal Tahun Akademik 2016/2017. Populasinya adalah seluruh mahasiswa yang memprogram mata kuliah Statistik Matematika II Tahun Akademik 2016/2017 yang berjumlah 145 orang. Dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling, diambil minimal 30% dari keseluruhan sampel, dan diambil 51 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk memperoleh data setiap variabel adalah angket dan tes yang disusun sendiri oleh peneliti. Teknik analisis yang digunakan untuk mengelolah data yang diperoleh dari responden adalah teknik statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah diuraikan, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa: 1) motivasi, sikap, minat, dan gaya belajar statistik matematika mahasiswa secara bersama-sama berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan menganalisis persoalan penelitian; 2) motivasi belajar statistik mahasiswa berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan menganalisis persoalan penelitian; 3) sikap belajar statistik mahasiswa berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan menganalisis persoalan penelitian; 4) minat belajar statistik mahasiswa berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan menganalisis persoalan penelitian; dan 5) gaya belajar statistik mahasiswa berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan menganalisis persoalan penelitian pada mahasiswa pendidikan matematika FKIP Unidayan.
