Nowadays the spatial econometrics is became widely used in transportation sciences. In order to know which method can be used or how they should be used, the review articles give answers. In this recent paper the goal is to collect all of the methods in one article which can be used in further researches. The improvement in this article is that beside the spatial econometric methods, other necessary techniques are also introduced. With this fact a whole analysis can be applied.

The article provides an overview of the main spatial-econometric models and notes the shortcomings that limit their application to the description of the processes taking place in large heterogeneous countries, such as Russia. The main approaches and modifications of the models are given, which make it possible to take into account Russian conditions, and a brief description of the basic articles is given in which spatial-econometric toolkit is applied to Russian data. A very promising direction in the development of spatial-econometric methods is the improvement of methods for assessing of government programs, therefore, the article describes the main approaches how to do this.

This review of the Literacy and Education Bklletin1 of the 1961 Census is fourth in the series of review articles published in this journal2. The Bulletin under review forms a part of the interim report on the characteristics of the population of Pakistan. It gives information on the number of illiterate and literate persons by age and sex for rural and urban areas on division and district basis; illiterate and literate.population in selected cities and towns; and the educational levels attained by the literate population by age and sex for divisions and districts. Relevant statistical notes and statements precede the tables in the Bulletin. The objective of this review is to describe the meaningfulness and significance of literacy statistics. To this end, a distinction is made between formal and functional levels of literacy. Comparisons of the 1951 and 1961 census figures are undertaken to indicate the progress of literacy and education during the past decade with reference to the effect of intercensal rate of population growth on such progress. Certain questions regarding the reliability of data are raised, which emphasize the need for caution in the interpretation of literacy statistics.

The software for spatial econometrics available in the R system for statistical computing is reviewed. The methods are illustrated in a historical perspective, highlighting the main lines of development and employing historically relevant datasets in the examples. Estimators and tests for spatial cross-sectional and panel models based either on maximum likelihood or on generalized moments methods are presented. The paper is concluded reviewing some current active lines of research in spatial econometric software methods.

The main objective of this review article is to discuss the therapeutic uses of Rudra Parpati and to discuss the different pharmacological properties and therapeutic uses of isolated constituent drugs of Rudra Parpati. The authentic subject material has been reviewed from Ayurveda and modern medical literature. Different research and review articles were searched in different journals. The subject material has also been searched on the internet. This review is mainly focused on different aspects of herbo mineral Ayurvedic formulation Rudra Parpati. Parpati rasayana is one among Chaturvidha Rasayana Kalpa which is very effective and can be prepared with less effort. In Ayurveda Rudra Parpati is mentioned in the management of Kasa/cough. Though it is popular as only Parpati used in Kharapaka form & having an indication other than Grahani but still an unexplored treasure with unique therapeutic utility. Hence an attempt has been made to address the therapeutic uses of Rudra Parpati and the probable mode of action of its constituent drugs. Keywords: Rudraparpati, Vataja Kasa.

Previous studies show that the environmental quality is significantly influenced by corruption and the hidden economy separately. However, what is the impact of their interaction effect on environmental quality? Based on Multiple Indicators Multiple Causes (MIMIC) model, this study calculates the scale of hidden economy in Chinese provinces firstly. Then, we apply the method of spatial econometrics to analyze the interaction effect of corruption and the hidden economy on environmental pollution with China’s provincial panel data from 1998 to 2017. The results indicate that the interaction effect between corruption and hidden economy significantly increases pollutant discharge, suggesting that both anti-corruption and control of the hidden economy may improve environmental quality directly and indirectly.

The proportion of tenants will undoubtedly rise in Poland, where at present, the ownership housing model is very dominant. As a result, the rental housing market in Poland is currently under-researched in comparison with owner-occupancy. In order to narrow this research gap, this study attempts to identify the determinants affecting rental prices in Cracow. The latter were obtained from the internet platform otodom.pl using the web scraping technique. To identify rent determinants, ordinary least squares (OLS) regression and spatial econometric methods were used. In particular, traditional spatial autoregressive model (SAR) and spatial autoregressive geographically weighted regression (GWR-SAR) were employed, which made it possible to take into account the spatial heterogeneity of the parameters of determinants and the spatially changing spatial autocorrelation of housing rents. In-depth analysis of rent determinants using the GWR-SAR model exposed the complexity of the rental market in Cracow. Estimates of the above model revealed that many local markets can be identified in Cracow, with different factors shaping housing rents. However, one can identify some determinants that are ubiquitous for almost the entire city. This concerns mainly the variables describing the area of the flat and the age of the building. Moreover, the Monte Carlo test indicated that the spatial autoregressive parameter also changes significantly over space.

The aim of this paper is to present results of spatio-temporal analysis of unemployment rate in Poland, with the usage of advanced spatial econometric methods. The analysis was done on data collected for ‘powiat’ level between 2006 and 2010. GlS and ESDA tools were applied for visualization of the spatiotemporal data and identification of spatial interactions between polish counties on labor market. Multi-equation spatial econometric models were used to describe unemployment rate in relation to selected social-economic variables.

AbstractThe analysis of scientific communities and collectives are central to STS and sociological studies of science. However, the current emergence of techno-scientific communities, such as synthetic biology, raises the question as to whether novel identities, but also novel ways of community building have developed. In this respect, the emergence of a new publication regime, the ubiquity of citations as a means of governing attention and visibility, and the establishment of multidisciplinary audiences might have changed the ways of scholarly field formation. In this article I propose that formats of scholarly writing have acquired new functions in this process, changing modes of presenting and legitimating novel scientific communities. Hence, I put forward the idea that the evolution of a specific publication format which I term here as `techno-scientific review article’ and the ways of narrating communities are closely intertwined. To elaborate my argument, I draw on linguistic genre analysis of science. I found that review papers in synthetic biology are important for the field: Equipped with specific textual qualities they become central sites for articulating past and the futures of the field.
