ABSTRAKPembelajaran matematika yang ingin dicapai salah satunya adalah memahami konsep matematis.Lemahnya  pemahaman  konsep  matematis  membuka  peluang  terjadinya  kesalahan.  Kesalahan secara spesifik meliputi kesalahan memahami soal, kesalahan membuat model matemat ika dan kesalahan menginterprestasikan jawaban kalimat matematika. Tujuan dari  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Kota Jambi dalam menyelesaikan tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis ditinjau dari Newman Error Analysis. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan  kualitatif.  Pengumpulan  data  dilakukan  dengan  menggunakan  menggunakan metode tes dan wawancara. Subjek penelitian diambil 2 siswa dari 18 siswa kelas XI IPS -3SMA Negeri 1 Kota Jambi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kesalahan yang muncul saat siswa  menyelesaikan soal adalah : (1) kesalahan Memahami  (Comprehension Error)  yang meliputi subjek tidak mampu memahami keseluruhan pertanyaan pada penyelesaian pertidaksamaan, berdasarkan  lembar  penyelesaian  subjek  hanya  menjawab pertanyaan sebagian  saja tidak  sesuai dengan permintaan soal. (2) kesalahan keterampilan proses (Process Skill Error) yang meliputi subjek tidak mampu menjalankan prosedur   atau langkah-langkah dengan benar terkait   materi program linear, dan subjek salaah dalam melakukan oprasi perhitungan. (3) kesalahan penulisan (Encoding Error) yang meliputi subjek tidak menuliskan jawaban akhir sesuai dengan kesimpulan. berdasarkan lembar penyelesaian subjek tidak menuliskan jawaban akhir sesuai dengan permintaan soal. Kata kunci :  Matematis; Newman Error Analysis; Pemahaman Konsep. ABSTRACTOne  of  the  learning  mathematics  that  wants  to  be  achieved  is  to  understand  mathematicalconcepts. Weak understanding of mathematical concepts opens the opportunity for errors to occur. Specific errors include errors in  understanding  the problem,  errors in  making  mathematical models and errors in interpreting the answers to mathematical sentences. The purpose of this study was to describe the errors made by class XI IPS students at SMA Negeri 1 Jambi City in completing the test of ability to understand mathematical concepts in terms of Newman Error Analysis. This type of research is descriptive research using a qualitative approach. Data was collected using the test and interview methods. The research subjects were taken 2 students from18 students of class XI IPS-3 SMA Negeri 1 Jambi City. The results show that the errors that arisewhen students solve problems are: (1) Comprehension Errors which include the subject not being able to understand the whole question in solving the inequality, based on the completion sheet the subject only answers part of the question that is not in accordance with the question request. (2) Process Skill Error which includes the subject not being able to carry out procedures or steps correctly related to linear programming material, and the subject is wrong in performing calculation operations. (3) writing error (Encoding Error) which includes the subject not writing the final answer according to the conclusion. based on the completion sheet the subject does not write the final answer according to the question request. Keywords : Mathematical; Newman Error Analysis; Understanding Draft.

The Research was aimed to analyze the error on pronoun made by the eleventh grade students of SMA Katolik Cinta Kasih Tebing Tinggi in Academic Year of  2020/2021. The subject of this research consists of 30 students in XI-MIPA-1. The objectives of the study were (1) To find out the types of error made by students in using pronoun. (2) To find out what causes the students made such error in using pronoun. This research used qualitative approach with descriptive research. The errors were collected, identified, and classified based on the Surface Structure Taxonomy by Dulay. It was specified by four types of errors namely omission, addition, misordering, and misformation.The result showed (1) The most common errors made by the students were misformation (52,0%) or 88 errors. The second was error in addition with the frequency (35,5%) or 60 errors. The third error was omission (11,2%) or 19 errors. The lowest frequency of error was misordering (1,1%) or 2 errors. (2) The students made such errors in using pronouns because of their less motivation of learning, lack of knowledge about grammar and English language, and minimal use of media by the teacher during teaching learning process. The teacher should create an interesting teaching, so it that can increase the students’ interest in learning English.

Abstract. This study aims to describe students' mistakes in completing algebraic form operation questions based on Newman's stages. This research approach is a qualitative approach using descriptive research types. Data collection techniques were carried out by test and interview methods. The validity test of the data is done by source triangulation. The results showed that the mistakes made by students were a reading error of 44.4%, understanding the problem of 72.2%, transformation of 44.4%, process skills of 44.4%, and answer writing of 77.8%. The cause of students' mistakes is because they cannot mention the keywords or symbols on the questions, students do not understand the problems that exist in the questions, students do not write down the procedures used, make mistakes in calculations so that the final answers are wrong, and errors in writing units. Keywords - Error Analysis; Newman Stages; Algebraic Formation Operations.  Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal operasi bentuk aljabar berdasarkan tahapan Newman. pendekatan penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan menggunakan Jenis penelitian deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode tes dan wawancara. Uji keabsahan data dilakukan dengan triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa adalah kesalahan membaca sebesar 44.4 %, memahami soal sebesar 72.2 %, transformasi sebesar 44.4 %, ketrampilan proses sebesar 44.4 %, dan penulisan jawaban sebesar 77.8 %. Penyebab kesalahan siswa dikarenakan tidak dapat menyebutkan kata kunci atau simbol yang ada pada soal, siswa kurang memahami masalah yang ada pada soal, siswa tidak menuliskan prosedur yang digunakan, melakukan kesalahan dalam perhitungan sehingga jawaban akhir salah, dan kesalahan dalam menuliskan satuan. AbstrakLatar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar matematika peserta didik terhadap pokok bahasan garis singgung lingkaran di SMP Al-Islam Benteng Tellue. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesulitan-kesulitan yang dialami peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal pokok bahasan garis singgung lingkaran. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan kualitatif yang dipadukan dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Subjek penelitian yaitu sebanyak 10 orang peserta didik di kelas VIII SMP Al-Islam Benteng Tellue. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode tes dan wawancara. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kesulitan-kesulitan yang dialami peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal pokok bahasan garis singgung lingkaran yaitu kesulitan pemahaman maksud soal yang tergolong rendah; kesulitan pemahaman konsep yang tergolong tinggi; kesulitan proses perhitungan yang tergolong rendah. AbstractThe background of this research is the low achievement of students' mathematics learning outcomes on the subject of circle tangent at SMP Al-Islam Benteng Tellue. This study aims to determine the difficulties experienced by students in solving the tangents to circles. The research approach used is a qualitative approach combined with a descriptive type of research. The research subjects were 10 students in class VIII SMP Al-Islam Benteng Tellue. Data was collected using the test and interview methods. Data were analyzed descriptively. The results of the study indicate that the difficulties experienced by students in solving the questions of the tangent line of the circle are the difficulties in understanding the meaning of the questions are classified as low; the difficulty of understanding the concept is high; the difficulty of the calculation process is low.

The type of research used in this study is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Based on this research, it is known that students with different abilities can do problem solving procedures, ranging from understanding problems, planning, carrying out problem solving and checking again but the results are different in each ability. Students' confidence in solving problem solving problems is relatively the same for all levels of ability, namely they believe that solving problems solving problems takes a long time, except that the length of time required for each level of the subject is different. The three subjects also believe that problem solving is useful in learning mathematics and in everyday life. They also believe that problem-solving abilities can be improved by the learning process.</p><p class="Abstract"><strong>Abstrak:</strong> Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk analisis kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan keyakinan calon guru dalam menyelesaikan soal pemecahan masalah. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Berdasarkan penelitian ini diketahui mahasiswa dengan kemampuan berbeda dapat melakukan prosedur pemecahan masalah, mulai dari memahami masalah, merencanakan, melaksanakan pemecahan masalah dan memeriksa kembali, tetapi hasilnya berbeda pada setiap kemampuan. Keyakinan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan soal pemecahan masalah relatif sama untuk semua tingkat kemampuan, yaitu mereka yakin menyelesaikan soal pemecahan masalah membutuhkan waktu yang lama, hanya saja lama waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk masing-masing tingkatan subjek berbeda. Ketiga subjek juga yakin bahwa pemecahan masalah berguna dalam pembelajaran matematika dan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Mereka juga yakin bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah dapat ditingkatkan dengan proses belajar.</p></td></tr></tbody></table></div>

This research is motivated by the lack of interest of teachers in the use of props in the process of learning mathematics in elementary school. In accordance with the demands of the curriculum in 2013 and supported by the developed learning theory, learning mathematics is abstract object of study, students need an intermediary that props math-ematics, so that students can more easily understand the concepts that will be pre-sented, and in the end it can deliver students to solve mathematical problems, not only that proposed by the teacher but also the problems in life. The purpose of this study was to determine the interest of prospective elementary teachers on the use of props mathematics after getting lectures media and elementary mathematics learning model. By knowing the interest of prospective elementary teachers will be developed further realization of the state of the subject being studied. The method used is descriptive research, then the instruments used were questionnaires and interviews. The results of this study stated that the interest of prospective elementary teachers on the use of props after attending lectures media and elementary mathematics learning model is high over-all with a percentage of 76.70%.Keywords : Interest, Props Mathematics

The use of modules in learning aims so that students can learn independently without or with the guidance of the lecturer. There is no teaching material as a learning guide that meets the needs of students in IT-based mathematics learning courses in the form of LKM, Modules or textbooks.This study aims at finding and examining further the response of students to ICT-based mathematics learning modules. The form of this research is descriptive research. The research subjects of the even semester students are 2018/2019 in ICT-based mathematics learning courses. The instrument used was a student response questionnaire. Data collection techniques using a Likert scale through Google Form. The data was processed using Microsoft Excel 2010. The results showed that student’s responses to the ICT-based mathematics learning module as a whole were positive with an average on the material Aspects, the Interest Aspects of the module and the Module Aspects respectively of 92, 42%, 87 % and 93, 16%.. Thus it can be concluded that ICT-based mathematics learning using modules can be applied.

This study aims to improve the results of learning mathematics of elementary school students SDIT Deli Insani of class V on the subject matter of fractions by using number playing card media. The from of this study is classroom action research conducted in 2 cycles, using number playing cards at SDIT Deli Insani in class V Tanjung Morawa. The subjects of this study were the fifth grade students of SDIT Deli Insani, amounting to 30 students. This action was carried out in April 2018. Methods of collecting data using observation and documentation. The data analysis used is quantitative and qualitative analysis. The results of the study showed an increase in students' ability to understand concepts from the first cycle and second cycle. Percentage of increase in pre-action results, cycle I and cycle II students' concept comprehension ability that is 13.04% for indicators identifying number forms using number game cards (dominoes) and indicators solving problems in fractional form operations using dominoes 27.26%. the success indicator in cycle II reaches 80%. Thus the application of number game cards can improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts at SDIT Deli Insani in Class V.

Literacy culture needs to be instilled early on, because it can foster students' interest in reading. Serut Muhammadiyah Elementary School is one of the schools implementing a literacy culture program. This study aims to explain the planning, implementation, evaluation of literacy culture programs at SD Muhammadiyah Serut, as well as describing the independence of students in literacy culture at SD Muhammadiyah Serut. This type of research uses descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The research subjects were school principals, class III teachers and class IV teachers, librarians, class III and IV students taken randomly. The objects in this study are all matters relating to the independence of students in literacy culture in SD Muhammadiyah Serut. Data collection techniques used include observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman models, while to test the validity of the data using source triangulation and technique triangulation. The results showed: that literacy program planning is related to the vision, mission and goals of the library, while the literacy culture has been running smoothly. Literacy cultural activities include reading iqra, reading Juz 'Amma, reading activities 15 minutes before the lesson begins, short story activities and bulletin classes. The next stage is the evaluation at Serut Muhammadiyah Elementary School conducted once a semester, to find out the extent of the literacy culture program. In the independence of students in the culture of literacy at Serut Muhammadiyah Elementary School as students do not read when the teacher does not ask. Then students are not confident when reading the results of their work.

In understanding abstract mathematical concepts, students need teaching aids such as concrete objects as an intermediary or visualization. The purpose of the research is to obtain skills in making mathematics teaching aids on PGSD University of Civilization students. The research method uses qualitative research with a total of 66 research subjects in the third semester of 2015/2016 Academic Year. Data collection techniques were taken using observation, interviews, documentation. The results obtained from the study provide knowledge of new knowledge, improve skills in making learning support instruments, train the creative thinking of students of the University of Civilization PGSD as a provision of learning strategies when going to be a teacher. This training prepares prospective teachers in explaining mathematical concepts, in learning mathematics, the use of teaching aids is expected to increase student motivation. Motivation can arise because many ideas and new ideas and fun learning contains a variety of information that is relevant to the learning needs of students.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika dalam mengerjakan soal olimpiade SMP bagi siswa kelas IX SMP N 8 Salatiga. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 4 siswa yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil tes dan wawancara diketahui semua subjek tidak memenuhi kelima tahap Krulik & Rudnick pada soal nomor 1. Pada langkah awal tahap membaca dan berfikir (read and think) subjek  telah melakukan kesalahan dalam memahami soal/masalah. Sedangkan untuk soal nomor 2 hanya 1 subjek yang tidak mampu melewati tahap kelima pada tahap teori Krulik dan Rudnick yaitu refleksi dan pengembangan (reflect and extend). Abstract:  This is a qualitative descriptive research. The purpose of this research is to know the ability of mathematics problem solving in doing Junior High Olympics for students of grade IX SMP N 8 Salatiga. The research subjects consist of 4 students selected by purposive sampling technique. Based on the results of tests and interviews are known that all subjects did not meet the five stages of Krulik & Rudnick in question number 1. In the first step of reading and thinking phase, the subject has made a mistake in understanding the problem. Meanwhile, in question number 2 only 1 subject who is not able to pass the fifth stage at the stage of Krulik and Rudnick theory, that is reflect and extend.
