The gradation result showed that the mixing of AC-BC which used in this research with each point/Sta of collecting sample is still above and less from the specification requirements and JMF (Job Mix Formula) 5,75%In gradation result aggregate of material class B and class A, each point/Sta is not fulfill or more than the specification requirements and JMD (Job Mix Design). It showed that from the research result each point/Sta material class B 95,40% - 92,67% and on Material class A 60,79% - 50,70%.From core drill test result showed that the asphalt thickness in each point/sta of collecting samples in the field is not appropriate with specification which the value is above and less from the specification requirements. It can be seen from each point/Sta which the test is 5,75%. So the value is not appropriate with the requirements

Supervisory banking institutions are often daunted by the volume and complexity of the data received on a regular basis from filer banks. Chief technology officers and data strategists face challenges as they strive to implement a technology that could facilitate the data collection and processing to produce secure, timely and reliable information for decision making purpose. Technology selection might be a concern for adopting government agencies, but the methodology of developing and implementing technologies could present a bigger challenge. This is due to the fact that government agencies may not adapt easily to new technologies in a timely fashion or accommodate further developments to their current systems while operating under strict budget. To strengthen its bank supervisory role and develop its bank examination applications, the FDIC decided to adopt The Rational Unified Process System Methodology, known as the RUP®. The chapter examines how the FDIC followed the RUP® to develop an existing bank examination tool application to support its risk assessment process.

An emerging class of technologies defined as Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) has been heralded as the answer for inflexible IT architecture and promises to reduce operational barriers of current IT infrastructures. In SOA, loosely coupled Web services are integrated to provide dynamic digital capabilities within and across enterprise boundaries. Little research exists on development processes of information systems using Web services and against certain development metrics. One way to perform such research is to propose a development approach, identify the metrics, and embed the metrics into the technique of service composition to allow system development with desired characteristics. This paper reports an approach to information system development based on Web services composition and the metrics designed for such approaches. This approach is based on semi-automatic, interactive, and iterative Web service composition -- a hybrid technique based on developing and searching an AND/OR graph for composite services discovery while taking into consideration human judgment for solution selection and validation by interactions in an iterative way. The composition process leverages historical Web service usage data and provides helpful suggestions to the users regarding available component services. The authors propose that the metrics can investigate the characteristics of such development approaches.

The objectives of this work were to investigate the relationships between characteristics of small non-community drinking water systems (SDWSs) and the performance of these systems with respect to Escherichia coli testing and risk ratings. Ontario-wide SDWS data were analysed using regression models with outcomes of (1) having an adverse E. coli test result in the 12 months prior to the last inspection and (2) the SDWS risk rating (high/medium vs. low risk) that is assigned by public health inspectors. Almost 34% (2,364/7,003) of SDWSs did not utilize treatment, more commonly for ground water than surface supplies (P < 0.001). The odds of having a positive E. coli test result were greater in systems using ground water with treatment (OR = 2.00; 95% CI 1.23–3.24) and surface water with treatment (OR = 1.97; 95% CI 1.05–3.71) compared to ground water with no treatment. The odds of having a water system rated high or medium compared to low risk was greater if the water system operated seasonally (OR = 1.36; 95% CI 1.17–1.59), had an adverse E. coli test result (OR = 1.66; 95% CI 1.09–2.53), and in specific facility types. This research helps to inform existing training opportunities available to SDWS operators in Ontario, and to better standardize the SDWS risk assessment process.

In 1996 he Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles and Public Safety launched the Genesis project, a technology-enabled reengineering endeavor. In September of 1999, after four years of planning, organizational restructuring and system development, the new system was released. To the accompaniment of great publicity, it fell dramatically short of expectations. This case provides the background necessary to understand the origins and shortcomings of the system, then focuses on the turn-around effort that took the system to a point of successful operation within a year of its going into production. The turn around was accomplished under great pressure to retreat to the legacy system. The effort involved a synergy of manual and technical corrections to bring overall system performance to acceptable levels. The DMV now faces the formidable challenge of taking full responsibility for the long-term maintenance of a system that was designed and implemented by outside contractors.

The bearing lubrication system flow distribution design of the transmission was realized with a new system modeling method, targeted at the problem of a certain type of transmission’s bearings’ sintering. The heat-generated model and the flow-required model of the bearings and the gears were set up, and the required lubrication flow was obtained. The simulation model of the system flow distribution was established, the simulation analysis toward the dynamic characteristic of the transmission’s lubrication flow’s distribution was performed, and the results of the simulation analysis and the test were analyzed comparatively. The result showed that the simulation model matched the test result well, proving the effectiveness and correctness of the model of the transmission’s flow distribution.
