The purpose of this study is to determine the perceptions of learning environment and achievement emotions of Turkish high school students in biology classes and to analyse the relationship among these variables. The sample consists of 2183 ninth, tenth and eleventh graders from 12 high schools in Turkey. Constructivist Learning Environment Scale and Biology Achievement Emotions Scale were, respectively used to identify the perceptions of constructivist learning environment and biology achievement emotions of the participant students. The results of the canonical analysis showed that when students perceive learning environment as comfortably to express their opinions about the lesson, they felt more joyful and proud and less anxious, angry, bored or hopeless. Moreover, a negative relationship was found between shared control and angry, anxiety and shame. The students who help their teacher to decide what activities or strategies organize his/her teaching, the less they will feel angry, anxious or shy.

Aggressive behavior in adolescence is influenced by a diversity of individual, family and social variables. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between family functioning, emotional intelligence and values for development of different types of aggression, as well as to establish profiles according to the predictor variables of aggression. To do this, a sample of 317 high school students aged 13 to 18 were administered the Peer Conflict Scale, the Family Functionality Scale, the Brief Emotional Intelligence Inventory for Senior Citizens and the Values for Adolescent Development Scales. The study showed that stress management, positive adolescent development and family functioning predominated in nonaggressive subjects with higher scores than aggressors. There was also a negative relationship between the different types of aggression and emotional intelligence, positive values and family functioning. In addition, two different profiles were found. The first had low scores on all the variables, while the second profile had higher scores on all the variables except family functioning which was higher.

Los objetivos del presente estudio fueron: 1) Evaluar la relación entre la intención de práctica de actividad física en el tiempo libre con la satisfacción con la Educación Física y con la vida; y 2) analizar si existen diferencias en la intención de práctica de actividad física en el tiempo libre de los estudiantes, en la satisfacción con la Educación Física y con la vida en función del género y del país de procedencia. Participaron en el estudio 1137 estudiantes de educación secundaria obligatoria pertenecientes a centros públicos de España y México. Del total de la muestra, 457 fueron adolescentes mexicanos, de los cuales 246 eran chicas y 210 chicos. El resto de la muestra estuvo conformada por 680 adolescentes españoles, de los cuales 341 eran chicas y 339 chicos. Se utilizó un cuestionario compuesto por las siguientes escalas: Satisfacción con la materia de Educación Física, Satisfacción con la vida e Intención de Práctica de Actividad Física en el Tiempo Libre. Los análisis estadísticos que se realizaron fueron descriptivos, correlación de Spearman y la prueba de U de Mann-Withney, con el SPSS v.22. Los resultados revelaron diferencias significativas en función del sexo y en función del país. Adicionalmente, se encontró una relación positiva entre la satisfacción con la Educación Física con la intención de práctica y una relación negativa entre el aburrimiento con la educación física y la intención de práctica de actividad física en el tiempo libre. Abstract. The purposes of the present study were: 1) Assess the relationship between intention to practice physical activity in leisure time and physical education and life satisfaction; and 2) analyze the differences of the intention of practice physical activity in students' free time, satisfaction with physical education and life according to gender and origin. The participants of the study were 1137 Junior High School students belonging to public centers of Spain and Mexico. From the total sample, 457 were Mexican adolescents, of which 246 were girls and 210 boys. The rest of the sample was composed by 680 Spanish adolescents, 341 of which were girls and 339 boys. A questionnaire composed of the following scales was employed: Satisfaction with the Physical Education subject, Satisfaction with life and Intent of Practice of Physical Activity in Free Time. Descriptive statistical analysis with Spearman correlation and Mann-Whitney U test were applied according to the aims of the study and carried out with the SPSS v.22 software. The results showed significant differences in function of sex and country of origin. Additionally, a positive relationship between satisfaction with physical education and intention to practice, and a negative relationship between physical education boredom with the intention of practicing physical activity in free time were found.

Background: Drug abuse and its destructive consequences are among challenging issues concerning students’ health. Objectives: The present study aimed to investigate the relationship of social adjustment and resilience with attitude towards drugs in boy and girl students of Lali City. Methods: The study was a descriptive correlational study performed by path analysis. The study population included 1500 boy and girl high school students of Lali City in the academic year of 2017 - 2018, among whom 133 boys and 142 girls were selected through multistage stratified sampling and using Cochran’s formula. Research instruments included Bell’s Adjustment Inventory (BAI) for Students, the Connor-Davidson Resilience scale (CD-RISC), and the Drug Attitude scale (DAS). The collected data were analyzed using SPSS version 23. Results: The results revealed a significant negative relationship between social adjustment and girl students’ attitudes towards drugs (P < 0.001); however, there was no significant relationship between social adjustment and attitudes towards drugs in boy students. Meanwhile, there was no direct and significant relationship between resilience and attitudes towards drugs in boy and girl students. On the other hand, a significant positive relationship was observed between resilience and social adjustment in boys (P < 0.01) and girls (P < 0.05). The indirect impact of resilience on the students’ attitudes towards drugs, mediated by social adjustment, was not significant. Conclusions: Resilience reduces stress, and as a result, students with more resilience seem to have better coping skills, higher social adjustment, and negative attitudes towards drugs.

Making decision related to choosing a major in university is a complecated process for senior high school students (grade XII), particularly for those with career indecision problem. Career indecision is persons inability to choose a particular course of study. Some studies showed that personality is one of significant factor that correlate with career indecision. However, there are some incosistency related to the particular aspec of personality which is associated with career indecision. This research was conducted to find out the relationship of personality type based on big five theory personality with career indecision among high school students of class XII in Jadebotabek. The sample involved 128 high school students which obtained by using incidental sampling technique. The data were collected by using Career Decision Scale (CDS) and Big Five Inventory (BFI) measurements. The results showed that there was a positive relationship between neurotics (r = 0.175) with career indecision and negative relationship between conscientiousness (r = -0.181) with career indecision variable. While other dimensions such as: openness to experience, extraversion, and agreeableness has no significant relationship with career indecision. Thus, an intervention to help students with career indecision problem need to consider aspec of personality.

The purpose of this study to examine the relationship between emotionalintelligence and anonymity with cyberbullying in terms of gender. This study was donewith quantitative methods. Measurement variables of this research using a scale ofcyberbullying, emotional intelligence scale and the scale of anonymity. were Subjectsjunior high school students in Sidoarjo, which amounted to 44 students with a lifespan of13-17 years with a mix of men and women at least 21 of 23 students, which is inaccordance with the criteria as perpetrators of cyberbullying. were analyzed usingregression analysis, partial correlation,and Anova. The results showed: first, there wasno significant relationship between emotional intelligence and anonymity withcyberbullying. second, there is a positive relationship of emotional intelligence withcyberbullying. Third, the anonymity has a negative relationship with cyberbullying.Fourth, the difference in cyberbullying behavior between men and women, where menthere is a tendency to become perpetrators of cyberbullying.Keywords : Emotional Intelligence , Anonymity , Cyberbullying

This study aims to identify the relationship between self-regulation, time management and smartphone addiction on Public Senior High School students in North Surakarta. The data were collected from Public Senior High School 1, 5, and 8 Surakarta with samples by 283 students. The data collection technique was simple random sampling by developing three scales, i.e., self-regulation skill, time management scale, and smartphone addiction scale. This study applied two kinds of data analysis, which were descriptive analysis and regression analysis. The results of this study showed a negative relationship between self-regulation, time management, and smartphone addiction, either partially or entirely by 27.7%. The results also showed that the higher the student’s self-regulation and time management levels, the lower the level of student’s smartphone addiction.
