In today's world fuel demand is increasing day by day. Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is the most used fuel in Kitchen. This is filled in a cylinder in liquid state. These cylinders blast sometimes, the main reason of cylinder blast is gas leakage. So, to avoid this we need to detect the leakage of gas. For this we need an automatic gas leakage detection system which detects leakage of gas and gives alerts. This type of automatic security system can save people from dangerous blasts and prevent accidents. Nowadays IOT (Internet of Things) is widely used in day-to-day life. There are many home appliances which are based on IOT thus it becomes easier to manipulate them. As we know the kitchen is the most important part of our home, but we also heard about the disasters happening in the kitchen due to various reasons and many people lost their lives. There might be various reasons behind the cause of these disasters but the main and mostly happens is due to the leakage of LPG gas from the cylinder. As LPG gas is highly inflammable gas, a small leakage of gas can be costly for human life. So, if we can detect these leakages of gas before it causes any serious issue then we might save many lives.

With new innovations and technologies world besides being facilitated is also subjected to face the threat of major misadventures and disasters. Likewise, Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is generally used in household for kitchen in general and gas geysers or heaters in winter. Similarly, industries use it for different causes for instance furnace, boiling and get higher production at cheaper rate. Besides, this gas is igneous gas and can cause potential hazard at any time. Hence, in this paper research is made on Internet of Things (IOT) to reduce the chances of such mishaps by presenting a model of microcontroller-based LPG gas detecting and warning system. Furthermore, it explicates the development of self-directed android based mobile device for gas leakage detection that can be installed in all sort of places. Moreover, this device would be containing MQ6 sensor to detect the unwanted outflow and GPS module to locate particular location of leakage what is more Arduino is installed to disseminate information of leakage to different servers like Smartphones, Email and buzzer and shall give display on LCD. Subsequently, it will send the mobile alert to authorized and concerned authorities to take action with in time and there would be buzzer installed. In addition, this device promises automatic working with no need of human interference and assures reliability, efficiency along with cost-effectiveness check-ups of pipeline.

This paper mainly focuses on the detection of gas leakage and providing security when the user is around or away from home. The system is Short Message Service (SMS) based and uses wireless technology for providing security against gas leakage to users hence cost effective and more adaptable. The system comprises of sensors for detecting gas leakinterfaced to microcontroller that will give an alert to user whenever there is a gas leakage, display warning information by using Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), sending SMS to the user for notification wherever he/she might be and turning off electric power with the help of magnetic relay. This will enable the user to take precaution of explosion disaster whichmay result on Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cookers like loss of properties, injury or even death. GLDS provides ideal solution to gas leakage problems faced by home owners in daily life.

Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is a main source of fuel, especially in urban areas because it is clean compared to firewood and charcoal. Gas leakage is a major problem in the industrial sector, residential premises, etc. Nowadays, home security has become a major issue because of increasing gas leakage. Gas leakage is a source of great anxiety with ateliers, residential areas and vehicles like Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), buses, and cars which are run on gaspower. One of the preventive methods to stop accidents associated with the gas leakage is to install a gas leakage detection kit at vulnerable places. The aim of this paper is to propose and discuss a design of a gas leakage detection system that can automatically detect, alert and control gas leakage. This proposed system also includes an alerting system for the users. The system is based on a sensor that easily detects a gas leakage.

There is an ignorance prevailing among the people on home security these days. They intend it as just as surveillance technologies such as CCTV and other such security system. The security system besides keeping an eye as monitoring the vicinity, it should prevent the mishap. The major mishap that’s predominant is the fire accident caused due to leakage of LPG gas at home. There was ample number of cases investigated and published in the newspapers more often. The proposed system focuses on a system which precludes such mishaps that causes fatal burns and injuries to the lives in that particular vicinity. The system contains gas sensor, PIR sensor and temperature sensor which is used for monitoring and sensing the gas leakage in the kitchen or industry and reacts to it through the micro-controller which turns off the stove/valve by a DC motor that is interfaced with the knob. Also, for a preventive action, it activates the alarm and sends a display text in the other room through Li-Fi communication.

Due to continuous increase in emission of Greenhouse gases and the rapidly increasing fuel price, many countries in theis concerned with reduction of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) usage in teashops, which contains a mixture of Propane and Butane – both derived from distillation of crude oil. In terms of the by-products of their combustion, the gas released is CO2, which is considered as a greenhouse gas. This project mainly focus on reducing the utilization of LPG’s as much as possible by using solar energy to preheat the water before entering the boiler at Tea shops and in addition auto- ignition setup has been added. Based on the temperature of the water inside the boiler, which is monitored continuously and fed to the microcontroller, the auto- ignition is turned on and gets off. Thus reducing LPG utilization in Tea shops. Added to that, in consideration with safety MQ6 for gas leakage detection, BMP180 for monitoring pressure and boiler water level detection are monitored and maintained. With all these it is able to minimize LPG utilization by 40% – 50% during hot summer.
